We've been hitting 80 degrees in NC for the last week but we will be in the 20s next week. Last year I risked planting my garden early and had to cover everything despite it only hitting 33. This year I decided to wait since we had so much snow and I'm glad I did.

I'm a farm hand that travels all over NC. You wont feel a fertilizer shortage until next spring \*possibly\* fall of 2027. Pretty much every farm here has a decent sized stock of fertilizer they use. I'm trying to recall any that didn't and i cant think of any. Even the small mom and pop farms i swing by usually have a pallet or two (enough for like 3 years for them) and if the shortage gets really bad, you can always change crops to match whatever soil comp you have. Americans are going to be pretty well insulated from the fertilizer side of things at least. Other countries.... not so much lol

Eh, the USA has a very long history of forcibly removing people that aren't white from their land. Prior to 2020, the only insurrection on US soil was in Wilmington, NC. In that incident a bunch of white people overthrew the elected black officials, killed a bunch of them, declared the black citizens were "rioting" then promptly burned down black owned portions of town. No white people were arrested. White people took the land. In the 1950s a soldier from Pennsylvania named Booker Spicely was on leave while stationed at Fort Bragg. He traveled to Durham for his time off. While on the bus a group of white people got on and the bus driver told Private Spicely to move. Private Spicely pleaded his case that he was serving his country and shouldn't have to move when the white soldiers weren't asked. He gave in and moved. Upon departing, the entire bus witnessed Private Spicely apologize to the bus driver. As Private Spicely walked around the back of the bus, the bus driver parked the bus, got off and confronted Spicely behind the bus in the street. When Private Spicely turned around the bus driver shot him point blank in the chest twice, left him in the street, got back on the bus and finished his route. Despite numerous witnesses to the event an all white jury found the bus driver not guilty. The black citizens of Durham protested the unpunished murder, white people declared it a "riot" and promptly burned down large portions of the black part of town. When building Belews Creek lake in Stokes County NC, an all black community was forcibly removed from the land they owned and were not paid a dime. They did not protest but if they did then white people would declare it a "riot", burn down other black people's property and buy it for pennies. I could honestly do this all day just with black people being fucked over by the USA. Then there is indigenous people within in our borders, south of our border (See Panama among many) and across the Atlantic and Pacific.

Yes, had this just happen recently. I live in NC and there is an old Silver Mine that I had read about years ago that has not been worked in over 100 years. With silver going up, I thought hey, maybe I can see if the land is for sale and I can buy it. lol Turns out, some company already bought it, and has started working on it - company is Metalsource Mining out of Canada (MSM on Canadian exchange, SFRIF on OTC) It was just backed by Eric Sprott who is big in the precious metal business. Anyway, I don't want it to sound like an advertisement, but I put a small bit of money on it a few weeks ago and this thing just keeps going up, have a 60% positive return on it!

I watched this video a while back. I cannot vouch for the results it claims but Iit was interesting at least for the thought process and analysis. Really you will need a large data set of trades to analyze so it’s going to be data intensive if you are going to just “trade earnings volume” across the market. There’s 4 level 3 charging stations with at least 6 chargers at each station scattered around my city of only 300k in NC. Small rural towns, sure, but any decent sized metro has at least a couple L3 stations these days. Plus, in my 3 years of owning an EV, I’ve only charged twice at a station when I wasn’t on a road trip. Most EV owners are going to charge at home, as economically it doesn’t make much sense to L3 charge all the time.
