ehhh IDK... the black swan event in MAR 2020 caused BTC to down to 3.5k at some points. that's a pretty hard push. the Black days of BTC in 2019 were 3.6-3.7 at the lowest. There was ALOT of new money that flowed in 2020-2021 I don't think we will see below 10k. if so. id expect to see BTC go to zero.

It was 4.2% last year for APRIL. So yes it's going to drop from last month's 8.5% because it was 2.6% in MAR2021. That doesn't mean that they've gotten control of inflation, it just means the 12 month baseline is higher.

Paypal? No! Tried using paypal to cash out from coinbase a few days ago. The fee from coinbase to paypal was 0, from paypal to bank account is 1 euro (bank deposit-tedious process imho) to 2 euro (transfer to credit/debit card-easier to do and faster but costs eat you up unless you do larger amounts I guess) if they dont lock your funds. I found it easier to use revolut as an on/off ramp to coinbase. Bank transfer method, i think was also set to 1 euro, but it’s something you can use instantly over the Revolut debit card if so wished. Still as i have not used this 100% as a test (i was lazy to setup bank data info over the coinbase mobile app), give it a test. Either way I think coinbase is not over LN, so transaction won’t be that fast. You could try the mobile app from bitcoin.org ! Has LN and the relevant KYC if you want to sell to fiat (can’t see why). Or you can have a look on cryptocurrencycheckout.com ? Maybe this will be of your interest? No idea if they have LN but i would believe they should do so?!

I think you can make a switch without a problem at least in EU AML directive is already applicable to crypto so crypto business already need to have an AML person And in 2024 MICAR is suppose to enter into force which is kind of like MIFID II + MAR but for crypto I presume the situation is similar outside EU Regulation is coming and it will be similar to securities regulation so crypto firms are already looking for experts from investments firms It took investments firms 5 years to comply with MIFID II so this will not be an easy task and I presume many small crypto businesses will close the shop cause of the overwhelming requirements

I went back and looked at the Bitcoin chart for 2021 here is what I found. JAN 27 dip MAR 27 dip APR 25 dip MAY 23 dip JUNE 22 dip JULY 20 dip AUG no dip SEPT 24 dip Any one notice a pattern? (Not sure what happened in August. I had some fiat loaded up and ready to go but no dip.) I suspect that the price drop has a lot to do with options expiration dates and they somehow work the price down on or towards the last Friday of the month. So my fellow Cryptonians, don't fall for the hype (FUD) and squirrel some money away each month and buy these F'ing dips.

LOL this is awesome, was just looking into this all morning. I currently have 3 dec 45$ calls for RIOT, as a side play hoping that upward btc pressure causes a short squeeze. - Riot 23.85% short interest https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/riot - Mara 19.22% short interest https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/mara - RIOT is about the same price as when btc was 35k USD, it's tough because you can't look behind the curtain to see what exactly is going on, but it feels like some fuckery is afloat. The thing that stood out for me, was that there was little to no upward price movement the first time recently btc crossed 50k, but when it started to pull back to 47-48k RIOT actually started moving up. Felt like a bit of short covering. - The third company I decided to buy a call on today for MAR 30$ 2022 was SPRT, it has a 10 mil float, and is currently 61.93% total short position. It recently just had a squeeze from 7$ to 59$ on monday, and has bled down to 20$ now. I'm not betting the farm on any of these, they are just side bets with calls (main position is actual BTC, btc ETF, and SPY calls). It's all contingent on bitcoin actually rallying over the next couple of months, but if it does I think the heavy short position could get proper fucked. Also a side note... - RIOT on wednesday applied for a shelf offering of $600 million with the SEC, so they would have the ability to sell 600 mill worth of shares, about 17 million shares at lets say 35$ a share, "from time to time", which would add about 12% (off the top of my head) total dilution to the total amount of shares of RIOT. - Not sure if it will be a LOT of selling pressure, or if they just want the ability to sell shares to raise money if btc moons and RIOT goes up significantly. They could dilute fast, or hold off and want to have the option to dilute if the price goes up substantially. This probably plays a bit into what's going on with the price, but I still feel like the main thing keeping RIOT down at the moment is the very large short selling position on the stock. This is just my 2 cents, it's too bad there isn't more discussion on the topic, the subreddit for RIOT is a ghost town, and stocktwits / yahoo message boards are the only places people talk, but it's full of bots and shills.

First a question: are you in the US? If so, LedgerX is the best option (and your only one), and if not, you have a few more choices but they're unregulated, like Deribit. The unregulated (non-LedgerX) platforms will actively prevent you from trading with them if you're in the US. LedgerX doesn't have a February expiration, but Deribit has a March one so let's go with that. What you want is to buy a call option with a strike price of $35000 (or $40000), which gives you the ability to buy bitcoin for that price on the 25th of March. Check [https://www.deribit.com/main#/options?tab=BTC-25MAR22](https://www.deribit.com/main#/options?tab=BTC-25MAR22) for current prices, but the best ask as I write this is $12988.40 or 0.33 btc, which is a lot, but if you think of volatility of the market and how many people think btc will shoot up between now and then, the person selling you that option is taking a fair bit of risk by committing to sell you coin that far ahead of time and want to be compensated for it. Also worth noting that Deribit options are priced and settled in bitcoin, so you settle for the difference. LedgerX (what I trade and the only viable US exchange) is physically settled which means that you buy your options in USD and actually get bitcoin if you exercise a call. I prefer that model but some folks disagree.

Sorry, my timing was a little off, ADA is dipping right now. I'm not big enough to manipulate the market, but this market is unregulated anyway. Yes, I do know some condfidential stuff about ADA, but I've signed an NDA and cannot say anything until 08MAR, I hope you understand. One thing I can tell you is that Coinbase WILL NOT be listing ADA. Remember that ADA's update hasn't been proven to work and won't be actually live for a long time yet, in the meantime there's nothing to keep the price up, so down it goes. In a week's time, you'd wished you had acted and sold.

The problem here is a that a lot of newbies (esp. new whales) will treat this as a pump date and there's nothing that we can do about that, apart from minimise risk by selling some and keeping some. There will also be other whales and rich arseholes like Elon Musk who could dump ADA on 01MAR or even 02MAR. I'll be selling half of my ADA regardless. We're entering a new era where the big bastards want a piece of the pie. Yes, I know that ADA has more stability than most and I also like the project, but that doesn't stop the P&Ders and speculators doing what they do best. I'm already well up with ADA and selling half and perhaps seeing the other half crash, will still reap big rewards, since I got in when it was only a few cents.
