I am neither loosing or losing anything. I am 45% down in my alts but they will be held until they are up a set percentage. I do have a $57k ANC on my BTC though which I am actively trying to bring down. You only loose or lose when you sell in the negative or your coin drops into obscurity and dies.
Only if your ANC is significantly below $3, otherwise it's scary.
>Apartheid my ass. The black people in South Africa never started wars with and terrorized the white people. ANC had a [guerilla warfare arm founded by Nelson Mandela](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UMkhonto_weSizwe) that took part in bombing of both Afrikaner government and civilian targets. I highly suggest learning something about the world you live in before you talk about it.
I live in South Africa. 33% is on the lower scale of unemployment. Most of the people in SA live of social grants from ANC government. They got 0 money for crypto...
Not taking profits and run from LUNA / ANC on time, being greedy, it was my first bullrun but man I really picked the worst and saw it all go to 0, could’ve paid for all my mortgage if I left a few weeks prior to the catastrophe
I once had some ANC that I bought by accident and sold for a profit (around 25%) when I noticed (a bit before the do Kwon exit scam).
I mean while it was up and running yeah. Back in the heyday of lending. You could borrow against the money you put in and earned a ton of their token ANC. But then once Luna blew up, so did their value.
It is moneygrab. Same as when $ANC and UST went to shit, then Justin Sun immediately made his own stablecoin USDD that gave 20% staking rewards (like ANC did). Its all mostly the same shit, but different packaging
Threw in $80 in to Anchor Protocol at 0.031. That's right, ANC.
Binance will delist AIN, MIR, ANC on February 27. Because they didn’t meets binance’s standards!!
When LUNA collapsed, I shorted ANC and did a 4x on my money in a few hours.
Hmm let's take a look at today's Top Gainers list... *sees USTC, LUNC, LUNA, ANC, and CEL* 😑
tldr; LUNC is set to undergo a major upgrade on Saturday. The upgrade is a result of the Terra Classic community voting to eliminate the re-minting of a portion of burnt LUNC tokens. Binance has confirmed it will disable deposits and withdrawals for USTC, LUNc, and ANC during the upgrade. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. \>To take advantage of the service, customers will have to download and install the Binance app, go to the ANC website, place an order and cover the bill using Binance Pay. Is it even really a cryptocurrency at that point? Binance is just moving a number from one custodial account to another.
tldr; Ukrainian pharmacy chain ANC has started accepting cryptocurrency through Binance Pay. The company claims to be the first pharmacy chain in Europe to offer crypto payments. ANC operates hundreds of drugstores across the war-torn Eastern European nation. Customers can now buy medicines and other items using cryptocurrencies. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.*
tldr; Ukrainian pharmacy chain ANC Pharmacy has partnered with Binance to enable customers to pay for medical products and supplies in cryptocurrencies. Binance was among the first to financially stimulate Ukraine after Putin’s troops invaded the country in February last year. It donated $10 million worth of crypto to support locals affected by the conflict and established a donation web portal. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; Ukrainian pharmaceutical company ANC Pharmacy is the first pharmacy group in Europe to enable contactless crypto payments. Customers can use the Binance Pay application on either iOS or Android to buy pharmaceutical products and retrieve them at a local store. ANC reportedly has over 1,100 locations across Ukraine and will bring the services to other stores. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; Ukrainian pharmacy chain ANC Drugstore has partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Binance Ukraine to begin accepting payments in bitcoin using Binance Pay. ANC is the biggest pharmacy chain in Ukraine and has over 1,000 stores. The only pharmacies in Europe that accept cryptocurrency payments are ANC, Kopiyka, and Shara. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Do Kwon beating SBF would've required him to, since day 1, embezzle users' funds from Anchor Protocol AND borrow against ANC or LUNA for billions to fund Luna Foundation Guard AND buy up everything and everyone. With that said, Do isn't a distant second because he failed at his first attempt at an algo-stable coin and then knowingly went ahead with LUNA/UST anyway.
I also was an ANS holder... still have 1 and whatever ANC it earned over the last 5 years.
I just find it interesting that that USTC, LUNA2, LUNC, MIR, ANC etc. pumps at the same time. Like LUNC and LUNA2 related stuff are supposed to be different coins now, no?
South African here, only reason this is happening is so the corrupt ANC can tax even more of your assets and plunder it, positive move but not for the right reasons.
Looks like ANC is going to take of again..
UST-ANC LP staking..... took 45-50k up to 110k and back down to 1.2k... The biggest kick in the dick about it is that I was travelling without my ledger when it spiked up to 110k and had I actually had my ledger with me I would have taken my entire original investment out and been sitting happy, free and clear. Instead, I lost it all.
Sincerely, no one knows what will happen next, look at the chat this week about LUNA, ANC and the likes of MBOX, who would have thought they could go up in price this much? I'm just going to keep the DCA running in ETH, SYLO, DOT and a few others and forget them for the next few years.
because what even is ANC and LUNA is the tail end of a mule with no legs
Why does ANC pump whenever Luna pumps
Even ANC is up by 17% because of it’s link to LUNA. People in crypto really like necrophilia lol
Yeah..the thing was many suspected it was a gamble and you needed to eventually get out. I used Anchor and did the 100% APR ANC-UST LP. I did it for about 4-5 months and made a killing....but I knew it had to eventually get out before I got fucked. I dumped everything on ANC's last pump before the horror show.
Easy answer: Investing in UST, ANC & LUNA and not pulling out after first de-peg. I lost it all.
They were offering UST depeg insurance at substantially lower rate then ANC yields which in turn enticed many people to gamble away their live savings due to the perceived insurance safety net. Kinda like how Voyager advertised FDIC insured.
A bill, payable in ETH or ANC
Have to love all the pump and dumps going on with lower cap alts at the moment… REQ HIVE ANC etc.
Anchor Protocol ANC is pumping 40%. This doesn’t give me a lot of hope that these gains today are legit.
#ANC up 67% wtf is happening??
ANC anchor protocol on terra blockchain is up 44%
Any thoughts on ANC? Unable to borrow on Binance margin..
Just made another $40 from swing trading ANC, i could get good at this lol
USTC and ANC in top 10 gainers Binance. Makes sense...
you shouldn't really think of it as an attack, it was inevitably going to happen. luna's price went up because UST demand went up because ANC yield was 20% - it was a ticking time bomb which made a lot of people a lot of money and rekt people who didn't get out in time.
This i tried with ANC token, got burned really bad
i did my own research with luna, realized it had a death spiral vulnerability last march and cut my bag around $20. for about a 1.5x - then i did some more research and realized they had VC reserves in ANC to prop up the UST price, bought back in near $12. then it survived the may crash, went in super heavy, because i understood why the price was crashing and that it would stabilize once UST came back to peg. then i began to cut my bags for a huge profit when they started integrating with wonderland/mim, the UST house of cards was too high.
> checks ANC price > it's up 42% > lmao
Of all the things I decided to short earlier it had to be ANC!
ANC is only pumping due to a supply squeeze created by Binaance bug. It is very hard to sell it at the moment, as soon as the bug is resolved the price will come crashing down. There has been 0 activity from the developers or their support in the öast week and UST is obsolete, the protocol us dead.
Alright, why the hell is ANC pumping this time? It already tanked after the snapshot, so those that thought it was included in the snapshot should have sold by now. 🤔
It is a fake supply squeeze of ANC due to a bug....It will come crashing down very fast ...NANO has done this every time the network was under attack , like 10 times, only losers at the end of that pump...
Watchout if you are playing with ANC on Binance. You can buy but the ANC will not show up in spot. You can only change it to BNB.
ANC token missing from Binance? Anyone who owns ANC, do you have listed it in the Spot wallet? Or can you find it? It just gone missing from my wallet and I don't understand
Very simplistic view is that it drains the market cap of LUNAC, UST and ANC and goes to around $2 (on a 1B total supply), putting it around #30 by mcap. Then we have a new coin with a ready made ecosystem but with a huge part of the reason why that ecosystem developed (the UST stablecoin peg) gone. So you would think it would then crater as people sucked out whatever they can salvage from the debacle.... But it could moon.
really sorry for anyone that got caught by that - i cleaned up on LUNA buying in may last year but never really trusted the UST yield because i knew it had a death spiral vulnerability - when ANC reserves dried up i cashed out my luna. i keep my yield-earning stable on gemini in GUSD.
ANC was also going to follow the same path of LUNA but people understood the game and they took out their most of the money, people were having fear that ANC can also touch zero whose possibility was high
I thought it cam from people borrowing against Luna at a rate of lie 20% which paid the 18% and then they got ANC rewards which paid more than 20% and they could technically restake that loan UST to earn the 18% again.
Lost a few G's on anchor. Made it back plus extra day trading UST, Luna and ANC.
ANC is still having a good time in market but still it has long way to go
Anyone knows why ANC is pumping? At least Luna has some news going for it (the burn wallet, regardless whether it will have an effect or not). It's an unusually big pump if it's just because of association with Luna alone 🤔
20.90$ in ANC 2 hours ago, sold at 0.61 for 37$ xD Scraps add up everyday if you are not greedy and stare at the screen ready to push "sell".
If Tezos could just follow ANC's 200+% example, that would be great, thanks 🙏🏻
WTF. Seeing my ANC bag at 0.26 seemed so sensible earlier today. I'm a dumbass.
Dafuq why the hell is ANC pumping today, this makes zero sense to me
Sold my ANC stack. Watch it head for 5B MC.
Wish I bought ANC at 0.08
Why did ANC double in price? Any news?
Will you be removing any coins associated with the Terra ecosystem, including MIR and ANC?
Yea I think so too, ANC and MIR have been sent to the trash.
Is the entire terra ecosystem done for? I have screener alerts set up for all Binance USDT pairs but maybe it's time I trim that list. I'm thinking ANC and MIR are also done for?
sounds more and more like UST/luna (and the situation on ANC)
the only reason people were borrowing was because they were subsidised to do so. They were being rewarded in ANC for borrowing. So it was not sustainable as those rewards could not last forever.
Until LFG can dump their AVAX then there’s sell pressure on top of AVAX’s price But I think AVAX is in a better position than ANC
we can only guess if they have any money left or not beyond what they are able to cover in cashouts, and can only hope they have as solid investments as BTC and are only down so much... maybe they were all in on Shiba, Luna, staking in ANC with UST and the rest in Evergrande and blackjack sessions.
Exactly this. People are making a lot of false statements about anchor and it being a ponzi without having any clue how the protocol worked. People could deposit coins that earned staking rewards, bonded specifically for anchor, and use those coins to get an over collateralized loan of UST. Depending on what the ratio was of deposits of bassets for loans compared to deposits of UST earning 19.5 % determined whether anchor was building their reserve or dipping into it. At one point borrowing UST was profitable because the APR paid out in ANC token was higher than what you paid to borrow UST. Anchor built up a nice reserve during this time. Eventually there were more deposits of UST than there were of bassets for loans and 19.5% would not be sustainable long-term. Tfl subsidized the 19.5 % through a couple cash injections to compensate for this draining of the reserve. Money did not transfer from new depositers to old depositers. It wasn't a ponzi scheme. People saying that obviously have no idea how anchor or the Terra ecosystem worked, but apparently have a bone to pick with UST, which leads me to believe they invested in Luna/UST without actually knowing the basics of the ecosystem. Anyone that blames Do Kwon or Tfl for all this should have never been invested in Terra to begin with. Y'all obviously invested in something you didn't understand, and now that shit hits the fan it's everyone else's fault except your own. No one forced you to buy Luna, UST, use anchor, etc. It's on you for not knowing the burn/mint mechanism of Luna/UST and the possible consequences of a system like this.
1 greed 2 there was genuine VC flowing in But mostly #1. That sweet 20% ANC returns blinded so many people.
the thing is, there’s an actual company behind a stock, so those returns are pretty much justified with Anchor, they were giving people 20% without having anyone loaning off their platform, what’s funnier was that they were only charging 3% to loaners while giving them free ANC (at a 15% rate) In a sense, they were paying borrowers up to 12% to use their platform and they also gave people 20% to stake with them
ANC going off. What's going on there?
Meaning of tweet may be a "rektdrop" for a new IBC chain. MIR was a good project. Terraswap and other DEXs. Wallet. ANChor were all top notch, even if a new ANC wouldn't offer same rates. A rollback doesn't automatically make total UST worth $17B. But Terra is/was a good chain, that could continue to be useful.
Is UST worth taking risk? Luna and ANC I know dosnt but what you guys of UST?
Lol of course 😂😂 I lost enough money from Luna, ANC. Hope you are doing okay with your portfolio friend I bought 20 bucks of Luna at 1 cent send it to $3 dollars again like yesterday and then w.e dump it again
Reading this description on Coinmarketcap gave me chills: What Is Anchor Protocol (ANC)? Anchor Protocol is a lending and borrowing protocol offering up to **19.5% yield on stablecoin deposits**. Lenders can deposit their **UST** and earn attractive rates on their investments while simultaneously **benefiting from low volatility**.
ELI5: How is MIR holding up when ANC, LUNA and UST are in freefall?
LUNA is lower than ANC LOL. wtf?!
Any single article explaining how LUNA, UST and ANC work together, and why this is happening? A lot of terminology that I’m not familiar with (such as currency peg).
Is Anchor and ANC the same thing? Because ANC (Anchor Protocol)is tanking as well.
You know what? Nothing makes sense. Inflation is worse than expected but the US markets are up? Luna now up 250% in 20 minutes? I'm going to do the worst thing logically possible, I'm going to buy ICP, CRO, LUNA & ANC. Doing the opposite of what is sane is apparently the winning strategy in life.
So what happens when ANC drops low enough for someone to scoop it up and control governance? Still $1.5 B in ETH sitting in Anchor
And not just luna. ANC is plummeting too. Everything build on the terra ecosystem is fucked atm
It seems on Terraswap I can swap my UST for ANC - and I don't have to do normal route of UST > LUNA > sell for USDC. WOuld this be safer given minunte by minute drastic fluctuations in LUNA?
Was Anchor all they had left? I remeber seeing a list of the foundation's holdings but have not been able to find again. If they did, I wonder if they've started selling it. ANC crashed this afternoon, just before UST started to pull itself out of sub‐.80.
Irrelevant, all the other cefi "competitors" use LUNA / UST / ANC...why do you think Nexo and Celsius didnt post the the same thing? Because they are getting smashed. Furthermore, [yield.app](https://yield.app) doesnt offer services in the US because they know a massive clamp down is coming. Safety first is their MO.
We aren't the only ones to spot this "opportunity": `ANC`
yeah honestly that rate should have always been flexible, like on any onther lending protocol. thing is that people only use their crypto as collateral for loans when they believe their value will either stagnate or rise in the near future, nobody wants to do that during bearish times and without enough collateral and borrowers it is impossible to pay such a high fixed rate. not to mention that borrowing is quite expansive if we don't consider the ANC token rewards
No, it's possible but the chances are so low that it is not a valid reason to switch stable coins. It has so much backing it would quickly recover it's peg if it did lose it. It's 19.5% APY is unsustainable tho. They will probably settle around 13% in the future as that seems sustainable with the levels of borrowers they have. It will be interesting to see what USN does and tries to offer more then ANC.
LUNA and ANC are literally the top 2 losers on Binance right now: https://www.binance.com/en/markets
It's time to short LUNA and ANC
Shit's going down to the single digits, probably by August/September. They got what they wanted, pumped ANC and LUNA for the devs to get their exit liquidity and now they're leaving us for dead.
