Private credit funds are still getting massive amounts of redemption requests, btw. Cliffwater Private Credit Fund sees 16% redemption requests - Bloomberg This is after they, like the other PCF, had to cap requests to 5% a few months ago. If the economy is doing so great, why are this many people still trying to get their money out of private credit?

Xitter is so utterly broken. The account has the parody icon for me but the label reads “PCF_LABEL_NONE”, so is it authentic or not? Elon won’t tell me.

Yeah everyone in this thread showing why they are on this sub. It’s a PCF. Of course a PFC has limited withdrawals, they all do.

Because they were on Lumen Optic Fiber Technology [LUMN](https://x.com/search?q=%24LUMN&src=cashtag_click) = CIENA NEWS TODAY IS EXCELLENT. SEE PICS BELOW. A few things I know about this company, in the screenshots below, and link. I know a single strand of Optic fiber carries more data than Arm thick of copper. I also Know the Lumen Box, they sell to connect to racks offers both a copper & optic fiber port. Enlighten us... [COPX](https://x.com/search?q=%24COPX&src=cashtag_click) prices don't help in the optic fiber full on transition? Lumen boxes literally have Fiber Optic or Copper legacy slots, where the ethernet cable connects to. Company is on a cusp transition period, and CEO is doing an excellent job in this pivot. CEO's She's never been under after her purchase of shares, this last purchase was the largest in two years. Debt pay down, AI agent taking over software. Stock will continue to climb. Beautiful floor from where the CEO bought at 6.35 ; ) Longs thesis will outstrip any short term volatility / shorting. The box stays, the software stays, but the revenue to Lumen likely triples. These Are the CIENA Boxes Lumen Uses. The Physical Box (Front View) Here is the actual hardware. You can see the distinct difference between the "blocky" copper ports and the "flat" fiber slots. Ports 1-4 (Copper): Standard Ethernet jacks. Ports 5-6 (Fiber): The empty metal cages on the far right. The Problem: Most buildings only have copper. The Solution: This box doesn't care. Lumen mails this to a CEO, they plug their "old" copper internet into Port 1, and the box's software instantly builds a "fiber-quality" encrypted tunnel to Lumen's cloud. The Upsell: Later, when that customer needs more speed, they don't need a new box. They just pull the copper plug, run a fiber line, and plug it into Port 5. The box stays, the software stays, but the revenue to Lumen likely triples. The 800G Barrier: We are now entering the era of 800G and 1.6T (Terabit) speeds. Copper cables (like Cat6 or Twinax) physically cannot carry that much data further than about 3–5 meters before the signal turns to heat. Heat & Power: Copper is an electrical conductor; it gets hot. In a data center with 100,000 GPUs, the heat generated by copper wiring alone would melt the racks. Fiber uses light (photons), which generates almost zero heat. The Verdict: Between data centers (and even inside the new AI racks), copper is being ripped out and replaced by Active Optical Cables (AOC). Copper is being relegated to "the last 10 feet" and low-power office connections. This is exactly why Lumen ($LUMN) is a "battleground" stock right now. The Bull Case: They own the "arteries" (the long-haul fiber) that AI needs. They are building Private Connectivity Fabric (PCF) because they know beaming isn't a threat to the backbone. The "Straw" vs. the "Firehose": Wireless beaming (5G, 6G, Starlink) uses the atmosphere. Air is a "noisy" and crowded medium. Even with the best lasers, beaming can only handle a fraction of the data a single fiber strand can. Latency (The AI Killer): AI compute clusters (like those used by Microsoft or Meta) require microsecond synchronization. Light travels \~30% slower through glass than air, but in the air, signals scatter and "fizzle" over long distances. Fiber provides a controlled, interference-free environment that wireless simply cannot match for high-fidelity AI training. Obsolescence? No. Wireless is for mobility (your phone, a remote farm). Fiber is for mass-scale compute. You can’t run a city’s water supply through a garden hose, and you can’t run AGI through a satellite link. Money will rotate into whatever have decent cash flow yield (both OCF and FCF), cash flow growth (both PCF and FCF) and can convince the investors that will persist for years to come. If the nasdaq 100 companies can achieve that they will see higher stockprices for sure.

Yep. If any sort of services deal gets announced with a hyperscaler or large enterprise beyond PCF/backhaul things will get really interesting.

This is an interesting company with a real potential of a turnaround. I had a look at their last conference Sept 24 and it does look promising, their pipeline is increasing: * Hyperscalers are asking Lumen to build more & faster. * Fiber is being consumed at record pace — fiber that used to stay dark for years now gets lit in weeks. * Signed \~$9B in PCF (private custom fabric) contracts with hyperscalers. * Expanding metro & data center interconnect by end of 2025 and 2026.The company is **ahead of schedule** on builds, and pipeline demand is being pulled forward.

I saw that although the PE is 20, the PCF is 40 ish which is a bit scary but considering it was growing 40% yoy, its probably a mistake. It's alright, I cancel the order lol

Yeah if it’s not on credit, why not just take the $7M, diversify it across a few index funds, VOO, VTI, SPY, and companies like PCF? If you can live off of $280k/yr, you should be able to retire…(4% of $7M) Why gamble it all for nothing?

Learn how to read income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, etc. Learn all of the metrics in them, you won’t need all of them and you’ll quickly learn the most important ones. This is how you evaluate potential growth/sustainability of their growth and of their company in general. Simple things like if they have more debt than they are making, no bueno. Long term falling sales? No bueno, etc. Once you get the growth & sustainability of the business, then you move on to “value”: How much is the stock price per how much & how solid their financials are? Some big metrics in this area is PE, PCF, IRR & ROIC. Now the thing about those metrics is they don’t always work, for example if a company just broke even on their Net Income, their PE could be crazy out of proportion at like 5000:1, but give it a few more years and the price and everything stays the same, it could come out to 5:1 so it’s important to know when all these metrics get messy and misconstrued. All else equal companies with the same financials and one is valued @ $20B and the other @ $10B, $10B is a better deal, easy enough. Also learn about buybacks & further stock issues and how they dilate & dilute stock [price] accordingly. Buybacks are generally good for the investor as it means the share supply is shortened. Now this is my personal principal, this isn’t advice just might be something to think about, I like to value companies *without* looking at what the current market valuation/market cap is, basically just looking at their fundamentals, how much would I pay for the entire company? Then I check at what it’s currently at and if it’s less, it’s a buy, if it’s more, I further evaluate if it’s within a reasonable price range etc.

People buy stocks because “they’re in a great industry”. For one, every industry is great. The only one you can argue is oil and even then that’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Second, people don’t realize the stock market is a game. Every company trades at an average PS, PE, PB, PCF, DTE, etc. Given the company isn’t in any major trouble, You’re supposed to buy when these ratios are low. Many people think buying KO (Coca Cola) now and 3 months ago had no difference. It absolutely did. Not simply because the stock is down 12%, but because the ratios were higher than average 3 months ago. That is no longer the case. The dividend yield % is near all time highs which means it’s a better buy. The chances of Coca Cola reducing that dividend is close to none. People think cause a stock tanked 80%+ means the stock is a bad purchase. “It’s because my friend who doesn’t even represent 0.0001% of the company’s revenue had a bad experience so the stock tanked 80%” No, the stock corrected itself and was drastically oversold. Don’t get me wrong, some 80% drops are because the company was shit, but going back to your point, it was high to begin with because people purchase stocks without reading the financials from a company. Don’t mean to rant on your comment but damn, wish people actually took the time to research a company rather than just “I bought the stock cause it’s a company with a bright future”.

Huge and consistent declines in EPS and revenue. Massive cash burn rate and no long term PCF. Closing stores and laying off large swathes of staff. Used Jpeg store running at massive loss with.no WAS games. Waves of stock dilution. Declining retail interest and slowing DRS numbers. Less media attention. RC investing in other stocks. Hugely overvalued stock price at 4x book value. Summary: don't compare this crappy stock to successful businesses like amazon

Who says it's arbitrary? Build a valuation model for the company, project future earnings and PE or PCF, and find a buy-in price for those projections and valuations that gives you your desired return. That's your buy-in price, if it doesn't hit that price and nothing happens to change your assumptions, then the company is too expensive.

Unless you have a better place to park that extra money, I'd strongly advise having as high a down payment as possible. I usually pay all-cash and have no loan at all, so that my revenues are PCF from Day 1. The more profits go to you, the better. Lenders hate hearing this advice, obviously, because they get nothing. Have a decent amount of money in emergency funds, but if you have a good job and cash flow from other businesses, your savings will increase with time and you'll do fine.

Has anyone ever had issues with dividends being 10 days late? I’m invested in PCF which is monthly dividend. For months now the money always appears on the same day as the EX Dividend Date, now they’ll telling me it could take up to 10 days. Successful investing requires discipline. Too many people these days play the stock or options market, not realizing that these vehicles are not stable nor guaranteed. I made my millions in real estate. PCF was non-existent for years, but thanks to price appreciation and buying more properties with leverage, I have only PCF in all income properties. Everything Wall Street is speculation for me now, I do it for fun only, and have maybe only 10% of my net worth in the markets. If you are good at trading or have inside information, nothing beats the stock/options market. But it's very high risk and I personally know of people who became homeless and drug-addicted losers becoming gamblers. I hope all of you who play the markets know what you are doing and playing only with money you can afford to lose.

Same as always. My retirement money goes into a mix of domestic stock with small cap and value overweighted, international stocks with developed markets slightly overweighted, and a reit allocation. (Bonds will be added in another decade. My individual stock pick money, lesser in amount, goes into a company or two I like with a PE and PCF below 20 (normally below 15), upward trends in 5 year earnings and revenue, no significant dilution, acceptable leverage, and a story that I think will at least maintain that current earnings amount if not grow it. How familiar are you with financial metrics? I would seriously read about valuation metrics (PE, Forward PE, PEG, CAPE, PFCF, PCF, etc.) before venturing into the stock market. These aren't by any means perfect metrics nor are they the only part of stock analysis, but they can provide you a guide as to what exactly you're paying and for how much.

I have found PCF as a nice dividend stock. Pays out $0.078 a month and current price is hovering wround $8.60. It had climbed to $9.90 before the correction/crash in Nov, so it only dropped ~13% instead of 30-40 like other stocks. 150k would be about 17.4k shares and generate $1360/month.

There are a handful out there that pay like 0.8% monthly, which is roughly 10% yearly. PCF is currently $9/share, $0.078 dividend. 3 mil would get you 333k shares which would pay out roughly $26k a month. ARR is $10.90, pays $0.10 monthly. 3 mil would get you 275k shares which would pay out roughly $27.5k monthly. USOI is around $5.60, dividend varies but latest was $0.0523. 3 mil would get you 535k shares, which would have earned $28k this month. Etc.

Let us do the math, assume the total share of 10 Bio, with 2k cost 100 EUR. So for now market cap of 5Mio (from 10 Bio/2k) x 100= 500 Mio EUR. Do you believe the company worth that value, or worth even more... if you have financial info, you can run PE, PB, PS, or PCF value. My guess, it is still cheap in price.

PCF pays a $0.078 monthly dividend and the current price is like $9.08 or so. With $400k you could buy ~44,000 shares and that would earn ~$3400/month. They are locked into $0.078 for the rest of the year (guaranteed for Oct, Nov, Dec) but will likely adjust in January for 2022 (my guess would be higher since the price is slightly higher now than it was Dec ‘20, but who knows).

let's try to simplify...oversimplify this: These are the components of FF3-factor start with CAPM: answer to..."how much should I expect to get paid for this stock?" Expected R = RiskFree + (beta)(MarketReturn - RiskFree) Then we add on the extra 2 factors (x)(SizePremium) + (y)(ValuePremium) so we can write it as: R = Rf + (a)(MRP) + (b)(SP) + (c)(VP): this is the basis for lot of quant shops. To implement this style of portfolio all you need is some data to get those variables. 1. rf - guess work just pick a number between 0.25% to 3% or something 2. beta - could be a historical beta based on past performance vs market, or you can buy a dataset where vendor calculate it for you. Or do a macro based beta etc.... 3. Market Return....subjective Size & Value: now we get to expensive shit. 1. size premium - start with how much higher a small cap stock in general out performs large cap....apply that through a time series, see if it holds....then apply the stock you're looking at to see where it falls on the spectrum to produce the expected premium 2. value premium - PE, PS, PCF, EV/EBITA, etc. all the valuation ratios comes into play. single number is not enough....it's also about how the stock is relative to its peers...what peers? same country? same industry? So buy a few datasets from MSCI, Bloomberg, S&P, Russell. Then download python or R to code up some calculation program. There! Easy as ABC! implement and watch your bank account explode!

It's not about appreciation in real estate, it is about positive cash flow. You buy one property and make it have positive cash flow then you find another undervalued property and go to the bank and post your first PCF property as collateral to buy the second with minimum down on it. Wash, rinse, repeat. Than when you have enough properties you sell them all in a 1031 exchange and buy an apartment complex. It is the game of Monopoly; trade your houses in for a hotel.
