Well $17.00 gets you 0.01 ETH. I guess it’s time to start looking to accumulate over time. Don’t dump everything in at once cause it does appear we not done falling but I remember putting in $100 in BTC some years ago when it was like 10,000+. I took a break from crypto, came back a year later and looked at my Robinhood account(before you say it, I’m not in Robinhood anymore lol) and saw that my $100 was $829 at that point.. I also owned one ETG at $179 back in late September 2019 but unfortunately sold. Moral of the story, we going to make it eventually
If only I had a time machine to go back and buy at a reasonable price. Maybe if the price of BTC or ETG falls 90% from here I’ll consider purchasing some.

I like the explanation that BTC is gold and ETG is petrol. Good to have both. They re not competitors. In terms of investing I mean. For paying I think there are better options than both of them.

What are you talking about? 1 year ago (January 2nd, 2020) ADA was only $0.03 cents, and went ahead to set an ATH of $3.09. How is AMP similar in any way? Nearly all altcoins are around the same price they were 1 year ago with the exception of a few such as ADA, SOL, LUNA, AVAX, DOGE, and ETG. AMP will probably have its day if we get an alt season

Just my two cents For those small time miners (1-2gpu-s) who prefer to hold ETH directly yet do not want to be stressed about ETG gas fees, Ethermine added ETH (wrapped eth - WETH) payouts thru Polygon , which IMHO is even more advantageous It's almost free to then move the payout from your wallet to Crypto.com which accepts ETH via polygon mainnet All in all both options (ethermine and 2miners) are great for small part time miners

ETG at $4k is another hard sell point for people FYI. It's also a hard Buy point, but people could be selling due to China FUD and maybe they need a loss for end of year. Just don't panic when it goes below $4k and limit sells go off dropping it to $3900. It'll climb back up in a day or 2. Some people need to hide some cash too before tax year ends.

Comes down to how much risk you can handle. Theres always an option of taking your money out and sticking it all into bitcoin and forgetting about it for ages or yoloing in your savings on a memecoin and praying to the crypto gods it goes 100x. Personally I keep most of my portfolio (75&) in BTC and ETG and only play with amounts that I wont cry about if they tank.

I diversified between DOT, KSM and ADA, I hope that's good for now :D I plan to buy some BTC and ETG later down the road and some stocks as well of companies I like :) Then when everything hoepfuly moons, I'll build a greatest zoo there is for animals to be happy and have a lot of space :)
This. You need to check the contents of your ETG address at Etherscan - the wallet is just an interface that often doesn't display lesser known tokens.
Imagine if I bought ETG at this price and it goes to $5k or $10k. I'll keep imagining because I aint doin it.

Can’t wait for ETH to be a household name like bitcoin. This will happen once ETG hits 5k or something. ETH has wayyyyy more to offer then BTC, even before ETH 2.0.
