I would advise anyone remotely interested in [Prom.io](http://Prom.io) to try and join the ranks of Delegates. Yeah, feels kind of addictive for me. I can’t quit saving, and feel fomo since 6 years now. I am oversaving and it impacts my mental state a little. I don’t even have 2 net salaries on my bank anymore for years now. I think I have to stop somehow. In my 20s I was close to insolvency and this lead me to believe I have to save even though I have no financial trouble anymore for close to 10 years now. My mind is a PROM programmable read only memory. No writing permission, everything was conditioned in my youth and I can’t change it.
I would agree with most of that. Mixed feelings on the fingerprints, but that's because mine are difficult to read. Also, not bitcoin only option, just bitcoin only. Also, ditch the micro SD backup entirely. SD card is only for signing PSBT, or get rid of it entirely and just use QR codes, though I find that cumbersome when using desktop wallets. One thing I would love is a device with NO firmware. Electrically re-programmable NVRAM is lazy for a secure device. It should be one time programmable PROM or FPGA. Get your code right, then ship your product. Release new revisions every year or two and if people want, they can buy the new version. Maybe have a stateless device, like seedsigner, but with a watch battery keeping your keys alive but have a clear button that resets everything back to factory default.
I own a bitbox02 but I don't remember the set up. This kind of thing falls between the "review the source code and compile yourself" and the "blindly download a zip file from a website and install it on my windows machine." I would imagine it is similar to bisq or any other software that you are installing that you need to be \*sure\* is the correct byte-by-byte version that you \*think\* you are installing. There will generally be a hash of the package that is documented someplace, possibly several independent places. You download the package and check the hash before installing. There will generally be instructions on how to do this in the place you are downloading the package from. Alternatively, the package will be digitally signed using a private key. You will need to get a copy of the developers public key, and then you can check to see if it has been manipulated in any manner. There will also be instructions for how to do this in the location you are getting the package you are trying to install. I get that people are concerned about what may be in the firmware of these hardware wallets, but there is software all up and down the chain that is constantly being updated and pushed to servers. For instance, it would be much more profitable for hackers to develop an exploit into OpenSSL that gets pushed to all the majority of internet servers. This is prevented by the digital signing of code packages and validation using public key cryptography prior to install. If you don't trust the developer of the software you are installing, then I wouldn't install it. I'm surprised these hardware wallet companies actually went with the EEPROM firmware and not with a one time PROM architecture. I'm sure super hard electronic devices used by the NSA and such are not open to exploit via a USB plug. It would make the devices more secure, and have built in "planned obsolescence" which would keep their sales up. Win win!
Nah, it's obvious to everyone reading this that you just can't admit to having been wrong. Your "if the module can sign ..." doesn't talk about hardware schematics since signing is a firmware function. ​ However, I can trivially create a hardware design that blocks this. In the full year list, GALA and BAKE have about the same volatility. But GALA has a better IR, so it gave better gains for its volatility. If you are looking to get a high risk coin, GALA and BAKE might be better than PROM. A higher IR means that the gain to risk ratio is better. Some items in the google sheet are negative, so they are worse than the market average in terms of the amount of gains they give for their volatility. This is all based on past data though. And high IR might still be pretty high risk.

Which FOMO burned you the worst? For me it was when I was new and some shicoin named PROM was pumping. I lost like 30% when I sold. The coin is now a lovely 70ish percent down from its high lmao.
I chased some pumps on some coin called PROM. It immediately dumped hard.
I'm all about PROM right now. Accumulating my tiny amount now for when we shoot back up to $100 and beyond But then again.. I'm kinda new to this.
QTUM, PROM, SWRV, SHIB I didn't buy them because I believed in them, but because of the hype, unfortunately they all dropped after I bought them.

This is not a shill, but does anyone here hold Prometeus (PROM). As someone in a creative industry it looks like an interesting project from the small amount I've read.

Have no idea, but I haven’t heard any news about either ETC or PROM that justify investing in them, so I doubt anything has substantially changed on those projects (feel free to provide more info if you find something though!). My bet is artificial pump. Even for coins that I truly believe in the project, I assume they sometimes get artificial pumps. PROM is still consolidating his price, and ETC might slowly decrease in price to less than 100$, but that’s my guess and I wouldn’t bet money on it as I have no solid arguments for it more than my reading of the charts.

There's solid stuff in there, though. From what I am hearing, IOV, ANY, BURGER, SNM, PROM, TEL are at least solid coins. I think OKB, SYS, SNM are too. Doge crap, cummies and doget prob scams, the others I just don't know at all. Definitely less stress-prone to just pump money into established coins rather than moonshots/shitscoins/scams/etc. There's a lot of shit pumping, but there's also a lot of shit that dumps real hard. Or just never really does much at all. (lost opportunity costs)
