I don’t really know tbh, I did it for like a month or two, got enough money to put that initial small chunk into crypto and didn’t really continue with it. Even though many of these concept papers don’t outright mention these concepts I have no doubt of its implementation over time of CBDC’s are successfully introduced. Conversely I find stable coins to be far less detrimental to our individual freedoms. As an FYI it appears that SB 770 has only been introduced. It has not been voted on by the house or senate in Texas, and is not all that close to being a law. It seems it was introduced in Feb and has not gotten out of committee. Given that the Texas Legislature only meets in odd years, and the current session ends May 29th, the chance of this becoming law is basically 0%. Even if there is support, it likely wouldn't be law until 2025 at the earliest.

There were at least 8 investigations by the SEC over a 16 year period among other things (according [here](https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB123111743915052731)) so I’d argue that’s misleading, in that from a prosecutor’s perspective there was years of work to start building a case off of by the time he was charged. (Note, I’m not in any way an expert, I’m just pretty skeptical of the widespread cynicism that has already concluded he will face no consequences due to his political donation history)
