You clearly don’t have a fucking clue how public filings works. The SEC doesn’t at all review the health or underlying assets of a company that wants to go public. All you need to do is fill out the necessary paperwork (Form S-1 or SB-1) and provide the necessary disclosure documentation for review and approval, and follow the SECs tender rules etc… They couldn’t give a shit less what you’re selling as long as you’re being transparent about the business financials, associated risks of buying the stock, and not misleading shareholders.

I don’t really know tbh, I did it for like a month or two, got enough money to put that initial small chunk into crypto and didn’t really continue with it. At the time they had a few different game promotions where you had to play x game to a certain level, with like 3000-5000 SB rewards (30-50 actual dollars), and I had completed all the ones that weren’t insanely time consuming for the reward. It’s always important to remain skeptical, but simultaneously being open to new information so good on you. CBDC’s keep me awake at night on occasion. I’ve read the concept papers published around the world and it’s infuriating. Some are far more upfront and somewhat honest about the idea of savings limits, expiry dates, and various other systems of control over individual finances. The concept papers that mentioned these ideas try to rationalize it by calling saving ‘hoarding’ and protects the economy from fearful reactions of society, and mentioned that expiry dates would insure a strong economy that guarantees consistent spending. On top of all of this there would be an Orwellian level of tracking, and the places an individual can spend their digital currency at is limited by a regulatory body that must first approve it. Even though many of these concept papers don’t outright mention these concepts I have no doubt of its implementation over time of CBDC’s are successfully introduced. Conversely I find stable coins to be far less detrimental to our individual freedoms. As an FYI it appears that SB 770 has only been introduced. It has not been voted on by the house or senate in Texas, and is not all that close to being a law. It seems it was introduced in Feb and has not gotten out of committee. Given that the Texas Legislature only meets in odd years, and the current session ends May 29th, the chance of this becoming law is basically 0%. Even if there is support, it likely wouldn't be law until 2025 at the earliest.

For the most part they are great. What worries me is the amount of people you see claiming that they have been locked out of their accounts, it's not regulated so they can do whatever they deem is right. Hopefully they don't become FTX 2.0 and CZ becomes best friends with SB in the court yard.

It kinda wasn't his fault because he doesn't have a fiduciary responsibility to anyone to conduct a thorough due diligence on the company. But last year, Tom Brady said: “FTX is the safest and easiest way to buy crypto” in a SB 56 ad. I guess the NFL want to avoid this kind of stuff under the smoke clears.

There were at least 8 investigations by the SEC over a 16 year period among other things (according [here](https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB123111743915052731)) so I’d argue that’s misleading, in that from a prosecutor’s perspective there was years of work to start building a case off of by the time he was charged. (Note, I’m not in any way an expert, I’m just pretty skeptical of the widespread cynicism that has already concluded he will face no consequences due to his political donation history)
