Shibairum will be a Layer 2 solution, so pretty much what optimism and arbitrum are, i guess more like optimism which has its own token OP. Shibarium will use BONE for gas. I think fees will be very low making $STEAK staking easy and profitable

Trezor T for cold storage, and Exodus hot wallet. You are provided your own private keys with the Exodus wallet, so it is a little less secure, however I would not compare it to putting your money on an exchange. With that said, if you STEAK any coins in your Exodus, ( I personally steak ATOM )wallet, you DO risk losing those coins which is connected directly with the Defi protocol.
