And then she didn't go to the BTC conference, ignored the crypto roundtable recently (I think there was like one representative from the administration there that had no authority and was in PR or something) and we are still seeing the SEC target crypto. She's been VP in an administration that's targeted crypto for 3 1/2 years. You have to be a halfwit to think she has changed her stance at all on crypto or plans to do anything other than continue to stifle it. Yeah, no, the headline is way off. Biden proposed the unrealized gains tax, which of course is a nonstarter, to stir up the pot. Harris, as nominee and sitting VP, made a general statement that she supports Biden's policies. Of course she has to say that, and of course she doesn't really mean it. If anything, Harris so far has said too little about her agenda. Her own campaign website is devoid of any discussion of issues. She's running on a Hope & Dreams marketing campaign. It might or might not hold up for another couple of months. If not, then we'll know what her actual tax policy proposals are.

I think you’re underestimating how okay the country was with her becoming President. Biden was old and, when voting for him, there was a realistic possibility she would become President. Some thought it would happen in the first term. It turns out it was in the middle of two terms. VPs are usually low on the radar, but deep down, most people knew it was possible this time, if not probable. Statistically, it was probably the most likely VP to replace a President in history. I don’t think he would have won with a truly horrible VP pick. Most of the calls for Biden to drop out across the political spectrum were saying “Harris would be better,” even if subconsciously. I agree more people are acting like “Wow, Amazing!” But I think we’re seeing a relief (from older people clinging to power) combined with people who already came to terms with this reality.

Another thing to note about Harris is that as VP she largely had to tow the line and support Biden's position kn matters. I don't think it is odd to see her develop her own positions or pivot now that she is the candidate. This isn't support for her, just saying that whenever a VP becomes the candidate they walk a tight rope between respecting and not throwing shade at their former boss, and establishing their own independent identity.

Literally any time he loses or there is a negative outcome he claims it’s rigged or biased, so this upcoming election will be much of the same as last time. Believe what you will, do all the mental gymnastics you require to not think otherwise, but trump did attempt to overturn the election last time. He didn’t have to setup and coordinate a rally right near the capital, sure, but mainly tho he had ties to setting up fake electors that attempted to get into the capital on j6th during the commotion, and pressured pence to “do the right thing”. His calls to get ask for more votes pretty damning as well. When trump is compared to hitler, it’s not saying he is hitler, or has done the awful things that hitler did. I even hate the comparison because it is easy to misconstrue. In my eyes it is more of a comparison to his threat of fascism and potential end of democracy, which may sound alarmist but he is literally talking about do it. He also has statements and speeches that reference or are similar to things Hitler has said. His ex-wife has also claimed he kept a book of Hitler’s speeches, but whatever. I’m against directly calling people Hitler, but there are enough connections to understand why someone would, even trumps new VP once called him “America’s Hitler” so take that as you will.

He lost in 2020. Midterms and special elections held since are showing big swings in favour of Dems against GOP candidates. He's coming into the election with the baggage of Roe v Wade, multiple felony convictions, more pending court cases, Jan6 and more. He's just spent the last four years attacking Biden over his age and family, neither of which are relevant anymore. To top it all off, he can't get on a microphone for more than 2 minutes without dribbling about fictional psychiatrists or forgetting people he's spoken about in the past. He then went and picked a VP who's main qualification for the role is being so devoid of morals that he'd sell out his own country for power. Even an assassination attempt didn't increase his popularity or stay in the news cycle for more than 48 hours. Dudes at his ceiling, he's not going to get any more popular than he already is. In the space of a weekend, Harris has shed the baggage of the age and family attacks that plagued Biden . She's smashed fundraising and volunteer records and has enough endorsements to secure the Dem nomination. She's still yet to pick a VP too. So long as she's smart about a VP selection she's going to be the firm favourite to win the presidency.

What is she gonna do, make the Nashville bitcoin conference her first priority? Yeah I wasn’t supporting her. I was just laying out each sides strategy and how voters may react. Trump talking at the conference had a lot of buzzing around it and then picks a young bitcoin holder as a VP. Great move. It was just strategically washed out by Harris being a younger woman speaking at the same conference. Just like how all of a sudden trumps age is a stone to throw now that they got rid of their glass house on Biden street. Bitcoin voters now need to listen to both of them at the conference.

Her dad, Donald J. Harris (hilarious he shares that with Trump) was also an economics professor as Stanford too and went to UC Berkeley for his PhD in Economics. Kamala chaired the Economics Society when she was in school and led the debate team. She then got a double degree in Political Science and Economics. People like to pretend she’s unqualified because they’re ignorant. She was a DA then the AG, then a Senator of California, and then the VP. She has an incredible resume and wholly qualified for the job.

Not really. VP's job is to support the Prez, not generate new policy. I'm not saying she'll necessarily do anything positive for crypto. Just that VP's job is to support the boss's agenda, so we shouldn't expect to hear anything new or groundbreaking while she was veep. The next few months will let us know.
