Calling out the fam first. My husband thought wagerr WGR was going to be the future of gambling and so we bought enough for a masternode in 2018...and watched it fall all the way down. He still wears the t-shirt. My own shameful buys include XBY, BKCAT, and more recently I watched PETS 5x and I held only to now be in the red for the foreseeable future.

A lot of answers in here that have given out great profits in the last year. Here's one that I think I may be at a loss on at this point and I was in the ICO in June of 2017. WGR Sports betting crypto that has active betting, development is still working too but man some pieces of it we've been waiting for years on like oracles. There have been a lot of pivots along the way and I'm still going to hold it but I feel like it's a slowly sinking ship.

I own all of those, with the largest being ADA and LINK, replace VGX with Cake for LP farming and we are pretty close. I also have a couple smaller projects like WGR and OMI but those are offset by stablecoins, and defi staking so that when the market moves I don't see as much red (or green). I think a lot of investments now is good, but remember, there were very few project who held up like Bitcoin over the past 4 years. Many of the "leading" projects after the last crash slowly withered to fractions of a cent. I think knowing when to cut losses on a project is key, and also keep in mind if the only purpose of a coins price is speculation (think Doge), then when volatility dies down, there's no reason for speculators to own it, and it withers to nothing.

Great post! Thank you. There are three coins I have held pre 2017. BTC, Monero, and WGR (I don't trust ETH but that's another discussion). I have lightly dabbled with a few other projects but always returned back to the my trio. The data presented proves my thinking. Obviously BTC and XMR have done very well. WGR being a bit of a laggard but I am confident one day soon it will blossom. Progress has been steady if a bit slow but everything should align and have huge payoffs in the near future. Going in I knew it wasn't going to be a get rich play but more a thoughtful march to success. The next release should prove fruitful.

WGR, its at 3 c3nts but thier betting app is great and the price has largely followed the broader market so there not much difference holding it or another altcoin, except that you can bet with it on just about every sporting event.

This is going to sound harsh but REP is worthless. I'm not saying this out of hand. The development team used time and money to develop Augur Turbo and it literally does not use the REP coin. When your own develop team doesn't believe in the coin why should investors? If Coinbase wanted to do bettors a favor they would delist REP and list WGR (the only sportsbook on the blockchain).

I am an investor of WGR, sportsbetting and blockchain is a perfect match to apply. There is alot of useless but high cap coins around. My guess is real use case projects will survive and gain slowly. Wagerr has a fully functional betting blockchain since 2019 and nearly 3 times of its supply has been bet and processed during this time. Bettors and sportsbet sites is joining slowly. I will not say to the moon or 100x in 2 weeks but a safe investment compared to its tokenomics and what they achieved so far. even if you do not want to invest, try the betting on a blockchain experience it is flawless. After that all other hype backed projects seems useless especially with future promises.

You’re confusing stable with static. First a quick correction, WGR inflation is only 1.98mm per year or 1% of initial supply. It could someday be lowered via governance even. But it’s easily burned away as we’re seeing the last few months. Supply could also become scarce simply from a rise in adoption. To participate in the ecosystem you need WGR. Betting volume is like fuel for the Wagerr engine. Supply is taken off exchanges and held in wallets and contracts even if only for a few days. But that’s not all; fees and burn are like a turbo charger. More volume supports more active masternodes through the fee distribution. The “house edge” over time moderates supply to support price at any level. So even if adoption plateaus or declines for a period, over time WGR becomes scarcer anyway.

Oh yeah, that makes a huge difference. You'll have plenty of WGR for both! Only 25k for each node and you can run as many as you want. Takes 2 minutes to set up on allnodes and then from there you can take them down at any point if you need to unlock them for any reason. If you're running running electron or QT wallets for the Masternodes don't forget to backup your wallet.dat file.

Masternodes operate the betting blockchain, there are about 2700 of them right now. You put in a 25.000 WGR collateral and earn payouts for providing service to the chain and currently also a slice of the betting fees (in future only oracles will get them) Giving about 10 % APR right now, should even get more with higher betting volume. The collateral needed stays in your wallet - you can alway decide to stop it.

They payout weekly. Last week I believe it was 52 WGR from the betting fees per Masternode. Each week it has been increasing, as more people bet rewards keep going higher. But as a Masternode you also get block rewards on top of that.

These times it is hard to find real value, every project is the next best thing and overhyped to the moon. There is one project which is not making "coming soon" promises or just replicating existing workflows. Wagerr stands out as one of its kind, a blockchain custom developed for sports betting - but the difference, to its competitors, the chain is the bookmaker - **a decentralized bookmaker** \- everybody can be the house (token holders and masternode holders). Most competitors have 10-25x market cap, but either no betting volume (Augur) - while WGR is doing a million USD a week now, or they don't even have a working product (BePro). As losing bets are burned and winning bets are minted it offers limitless betting (unlimited liquidity) and is deflationary with the house edge. These are not dreams - it is all working right away. They have even developed an easy-to-use, trustless web sportsbook. Now even a bookmaker started using it for hedging liability. This will be a disruptive, ground-breaking use-case of blockchain technology. Try it out for yourself: [Wagerr Sportsbook](http://www.wagerr.com) I'll be happy to drop you some coins!

Burn rate is far outpacing inflation from block rewards, so it is deflating. But even if it stays stagnate the more people bet the price will rise. For instance, beginning of the year they were averaging about $250,000 worth of WGR every week. It has steady been growing and this week there was over $1 million worth of WGR bet. If adoption is there that is all that matters. Don't hate yourself and wait to FOMO in at $1 ;)

Mentions:#WGR

That's not at all what I'm saying. My logic is saying that I don't know if this coin will make money. The Book will obviously make money from fees skimmed from every winning bet. The coin from an investor point of view is the issue. It seems like it will stay relatively stable. Which is great for the Book and the gamblers... But not coin investors. I think the best way to make money with WGR is as a node (the house). But I don't wana buy 25k WGR to do that. I hope it works out though. Ill keep an eye on it and probably end up FOMO'ing in at $1.00 lol

So masternodes/stakers do get block rewards which amount to about 2% inflation a year. The fee is correct the way you broke it down. The idea is that there is so much betting and deflation from betting it over takes the inflation from block rewards. While deflation is one aspect of value, I would argue it is not the biggest factor. The biggest factor is adoption and betting volume (simple supply and demad). As more people buy the coin to gamble it becomes more scare and price increases. Wagerr launched their web sportsbook that is easy for even crypto newbs to use at the beginning of the year and since than betting has dramatically increased and price of WGR has as well (up over 300%). Wagerr also onboard a traditional sportsbook that is now using Wagerr to offload risk which one reason for the increased betting. Now the cool thing is as adoption increases so does betting and with more betting there is more burning and more deflation, so it basically all works hand in hand to continue to drive the price of WGR higher.

Hey. So I've been making my way through the WGR white paper. Maybe you can help me with something. I'm having trouble understanding two things. 1. WGR markets the coin as a deflationary token. As I understand it, WGR burns all of the coins forfeited on losing bets. However, they mint new coins for winning bets. In theory this should balance out but really depends on people losing more than winners otherwise the coin will become inflationary fast. I'm not a gambler but I assume the bigger bets are placed on the favorites. But assuming everything works as it should, is it fair to say that the only thing causing deflation is the burning of half of the fees on winning bets? They said they take like 6%. So, I guess that amount will vary based on the size of the bet. 2. Where do the block rewards come from? I don't see them accounted for in fees. From what I've read so far: - 6% fee on winners; half burn half to stakers and nodes - 3.8 WGR for block rewards to nodes; origin of block rewards??? Sounds like they're minting these too. So far the best I can tell is that this coin is marginally deflationary. Thoughts? Oh. Last question. Do they not take fees on losing bets?

Degens is a exchange, not a sportsbook, it requires another individual to take your bet. To be clear nothing wrong with that, but it is a clear difference. Let me give you an example at this moment 61,000 WGR has been placed on Ben Askren to win the fight this weekend, while only 1,500 WGR have been bet on Jake Paul. If this was Degens bettors would only have been able to bet 1,500 WGR on Ben Askren and then the other 59,000 WGR would be stuck because there is no liquidity on the other side to match the bets with.

Mentions:#WGR
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

> Wagerr (WGR) – It is the first and only sportsbook on the blockchain. Why are we not counting Degens.com? It even has exchange style betting which nearly no other betting site has

Mentions:#WGR
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

The big thing you didn't touch on with WGR/decentralized betting exchange is how much better odds you'll get. A normal sports wager sees the sportsbook/centralized entity skimming ~10% of the wager. With a decentralized exchange that matches betters on both sides of an outcome, the 'fees' become the cost of using the network. Now instead of betting $100 to win $90, you'll be betting $100 to win $99 or $99.50. The impact of this is MASSIVE as sports betting becomes more and more popular and accepted in the US

Here is my personal research on a sports betting coin called Wagerr that I’ve been buying. Why bet with Wagerr? Wagerr has the best odds, is anonymous, no limit bet size, no geo restrictions and has only 20 mil market cap. None of these qualities exist anywhere else. This small cap has a better use case than most coins in the top 50 and already works! Why invest in Wagerr? This is not just another sports betting coin. This is the only crypto where you bet against the blockchain, meaning that winning bets mint new coins and losing bets burn existing coins. Also has a built in burning mechanism that will continue to drive the supply down over the long term. Did I mention that you can earn passive income by staking or hosting a master-node? What other project has better tokenomics, already works, and has a small market cap? The potential to skyrocket is huge and the chance to loose value small due to the great use case and amazing tokenomics. #Wagerr #WGR #BeTheHouse

Check out WGR. They put sports betting on the blockchain. It’s the only crypto I’ve ever actually used too, saved me from using Bovada lol

$WGR Decentralised betting with betting volume of about 50k dollar per day. Betting action is bound to mint/burn of WGR. Last two weeks burn was 2mln. Supply is just 200mln! On that pace supply will shrink quite fast this year. Trading volume compared is very low. Market cap was below 10mln a few weeks ago. This thing will take off like crazy, if betting and burn stays on these levels. All bets here: explorer.wagerr.com Try a bet and DM me for free bets: wagerr.com/sportsbook Dyor and have fun with actually usable crypto project.

It launched on 3 major exchanges this year and those just got tracked by CMC, giving a sudden volume jump which I assume is what @slickvic85 is looking at and thinks they’ve so cleverly noticed. Also not all the markets were tracked and still aren’t. The trading volumes that were tracked was by and large early adopter users of the beta sportsbook, during the bear market. But since you think it matters, there was just a massive run to to $.25 on Uniswap where there is all the liquidity to dump that you can dream of. The bag holders you speak of have surely now all sold and left. The price action and platform speaks for itself. While vapor ware projects went to zero, $WGR was a steady few Cents all last year during a bear market, thanks largely to its strong utility, development, and community. Since you can actually “Be the House” and earn a clip of betting payout fees, most holders have no interest in selling or have a very high price. This all actually means $WGR has very little speculation built in.
