I bought KMB this week myself. Been adding to positions in health care AMGN and energy KMI and ENB.
My calls are already in place. Too many to list but a few that I like that did well today that I am holding: AVGO GE TSM Also have calls and or long positions on SOFI AMGN UUUU GOOG Also just went long ARKK
I spent some time on small cap biotech in early 2025 and concluded financial disclosures alone aren't enough to buy. Most have no earnings and are just looking for the next hot drug. It seems like you need to know their patent application pipeline - which is a lot of work and still very difficult to make value calls on unless you also have some idea of the patent universe for that class of chemicals. (Ph.D. in the space with a J.D. btw) Did buy a couple closer to mid caps - OGN (fortunately exited in early Oct but still see a value story) and VTRS. Also like the larger caps like AMGN and ABBV.
I think during tariff era $ rotated to science and insurance stocks like BRO, GILD, AMGN They are flat in pre-market which means it's kinda true
AMGN is about to retest the breakout line and then blast higher. You’re welcome for the free game.
Did research on current breakout candidates. IREN, AMGN, CRWV, ALB, TEM. You’re welcome, this is my one and only freebie for you morons
While I see your point, every single stock on MTG's list is up in the last month except for AMGN. Some are only up 4.5% tbf.
Good thing I didn’t paper handed my AMGN calls. RDDT really fuckin me though
AAPL when the iPhone launched (2007) was a good one. AMGN. MSFT. NFLX. SE more recently (Jan 2024). SMNEY. HWM.
Agreed. Data was not 100% blowout so its a sell the news event. Fact is, VKTX remains the only direct competitor to LLY because the molecule is nearly identical with the same MOA. LLY will be announcing their oral Tirzepetide product soon I bet, this will further validate VKTX as a solid play. Will it be the best product on the market? maybe, maybe not. Will it be top 3? yes with LLY and NVO. Is it better than PFE, AMGN, MRK, Roche, etc? Yep. If those companies want to compete its the right company to partner with. Lastly, NVO's cost to mfg is huge compared to Tirzepetide, I imagine VKTX will have similar costs to LLY when all is said an done. meaning as price erodes VKTX still has an opportunity to capture a good portion of market share from NVO.
AMGN dipping hard perfect time for some calls
Cramer mentions AMGN bad so I buy :)
> My main pause is that the drug is licensed from Amgen and I do not know the specifics of that agreement "In 2017, Amgen decided to discontinue the internal development of obicetrapib for strategic reasons and pursue out-licensing opportunities. Forbion believes that this drug could address very substantial unmet medical needs and therefore initiated conversations with Amgen to continue developing the asset. For this purpose, it has established NewAmsterdam Pharma B.V. **Financial terms of the acquisition of obicetrapib by NAP from Amgen were not disclosed**." (https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200825005160/en/NewAmsterdam-Pharma-Acquires-Obicetrapib-from-Amgen) NAMS came out of a SPAC - it's noted in the merger documents that AMGN was issued shares so I'll guess that came out of the terms of the agreement (which, given the fact that Amgen discontinued it and they were apparently non-material enough not to be mentioned in the original PR, I'll guess that the full terms of that agreement were particularly demanding.) "What do you think about a situation like NewAmsterdam Pharma?" I don't usually mention biotech names on here but I do own a small position in NAMS. I have a lot less in biotech than I started the year with but that's one thing that did stick around. " Wallstreet doesn't seem too jazzed about it though." I just feel like that's a lot of biotech over much of the last couple years. You have a set of names (a couple dozen +/-?) that are mid caps or upper end of small caps that people think will be bought and/or are doing very well that have been performing and then there's kind of ... everything else. Not a great time for small/micro caps in a world of continued higher rates (among other issues): https://www.biospace.com/business/more-than-one-third-of-biotechs-have-under-a-year-of-cash-left-ey-finds ("More Than One-Third of Biotechs Have Under a Year of Cash Left, EY Finds")
Tomorrow I feel like gambling. Will try my luck with AMGN calls.
Holding MRK and AMGN calls on a day where the SPY is up 3% like the regard I am
Whichever one dips the most PFE, JNJ, MRK, ABBV, BMY, AMGN, GILD, NVS, SNY
Pay Attention to AMGN, REGN - If trump, as politico reported, announces drug price cuts for Medicare part B, this stocks will take a hit.
AMGN was up on an FDA approval today
AMGN, chemo drug maker for all the youngs getting cancer.
In 2020 I went to 100% cash in the third week of January. I started buying way out of the money puts on cruise lines, airlines, hotel chains. Most of these paid between 50x to 100x. I opened some shorts recently I have a good amount of SQQQ for example. I also shorted some of the mag7. I bought defensives like PG, AMGN, ABBV, JNJ. I also day trade. Grew that account by 20% in the last few weeks. Mostly TSLA and PLTR both on the up and down sides.
I'm day trading this volatility. Never had a better few weeks except for the Covid crash. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity. My swing account is currently mostly shorts and defensive longs. AMGN have been a shining star. I should have bought more. Things are going great. Anyway, you have to adjust your investing to the market realities.
At once upon a time (1 month ago), I owned AMGN at a cost basis of 220. I sold it to FOMO into COST. February has been a month of bad decisions for me
AMGN and VRTX keeping my portfolio somewhat respectable.
I’ll say it again. ROST and AMGN are the plays this year.
ROST and AMGN are the recession plays if you think one is on the way.

I was looking at AMGN but didn't pull the trigger before it went ex-div. I'm looking at preferreds, would like another small bank. Might buy back the AAL I sold in January. If OZKAP drops below $16 again I would add a few hundred to my position. But most of the time, if I am buying something new, it is a company I have owned before that announced a merger, or didn't meet quarterly expectations and got clobbered. I like a sale.
AMGN and MAIN. 2 solid dividend stocks too.
I own the usual suspects MCD, KO, PEP, LMT, AFL, MO, BMY, ABBV, AMGN, WMT, O, basically anything that pays and grows a dividend. I would build it up to $30K - $40K, reinvest the dividend, then start building the next position.
AMGN got a dip today after their beat earnings because of a hold from FDA on their new weight loss drug.
AMGN is not selling off, MSTR is not pumping.
complete market manipulation in AMGN. someone wants the price at $282 so they can buy back the calls they sold at that level. fake and ghey
I need AMGN to drop to 270.
AMGN beating expectations by 4.63%, dumping, not enough these days
this market is regarded. AMGN crushed earnings revenues and guidance, but falls bigly.
I own GOOGL, AMGN, UBER, DIS, QCOM. Wish me luck this week.
Can AMGN become pltr of biotech tmrw
AMGN, VRTX, and BNTX keeping my account only moderately red instead of embarrassingly red today.
It’s not the best obesity drug maker out there, LLY now clearly is and this opens the door a bit for VKTX and ALT and even MRK and AMGN. This all being said it’s second best and has a huge amount of the market and cannot make the drug fast enough. If it drops to $70 I’m going crazy on weeklies
LLY AMGN rocking!!
I like CMI, AMGN a lot. Also LMT
UNH down JNJ down LLY down AMGN down But WAY is up....I bought puts on friday..
XOM - we will always need energy WM - we will always create waste V - we will always transact AMGN - we will always improve our bodies GOOGL - we will always seek information These particular companies have also shown they can innovate, change, and adjust to the current landscape. To wit, and not a complete list: XOM - has added new energy to the portfolio WM - has expanded into medical waste V - has invested in blockchain AMGN - active acquirer GOOGL - constantly growing as a conglomerate (Search, YouTube, Ads, Productivity, Android, Waymo, capital/venture, etc.)
Thought the same when AMGN dipped. At least I bought calls for Feb
AMGN anyone? Bought some calls for Feb
AMGN 285C 11/29 just for the fuck of it 🤷🏾♂️
AMGN 270 weeklies went 20x from 50c to $10 today wish I could see into the future
LLY did a thing, got that going for me. AMGN for long call will definitely bring you back up to 1mil.
AMGN having worst day since October 2000, down 8.7% 😞😞😞. Side effects of their obesity drug are bad.
AMGN back to where it was a year ago
Look what they did AMGN today 😂
Long $AMGN calls for a rebound
Nice scalp on $AMGN. WSB doesn't mention it because WSB only knows 5 stocks
*No MSFT don't go limp on me now my calls will get fukt.* *No AMGN nooo. That's not enough my puts gonna IV bleed.* *No SBUX noooo. Drop drop drop or my poots will get punished.* *Three for three. I'm fukt.* *Back to Wendy's.*
AMGN beats EPS but revenue just a little light. Forward guidance narrowed. Stock flat for now.
*Zuck will probably make another couple trillion off the cancer of the Internet, META. I just can't buy calls. Imma sit that one out as usual.* *MSFT calls* *AMGN poots* *DASH???*
AMGN. If they manage to develop an effective obesity drug, they're coming for LLY and NVO's lunch.
I used all my dry powder to buy 3 more shares of NVDA on friday.. The other $350K? Fully invested pretty much always ,, Weak hands get shaken outta the tree.. Long LEAPS and stock NVDA GOOG MPC UBER CAVA AMZN COF XOM AMGN TOST
*All the penguins (ANALsts) raised their PT on AMGN. So far the Muppets ain't buying it.* *"No worries sir we'll just remind them again next week & then again the week after that."* *"Okay stay on it guys we have a shit ton of stock to move."*
**Does Ai have any place in investing?** I started off investing a year ago in my Junior year of college with $1000. I tried to invest using conviction by looking at companies earnings and what not. But it was so much work and super confusing so I ended up basically just guessing and I bought $SNAP, $AMD, and $AMGN. I ended up doubling my money since then so I guess it worked out. But I feel like I got lucky and like it will run out soon. I was wondering if the recent advancements in AI could be beneficial for me finding conviction in companies. I've found tools that will summarize earning calls for me, use some algorithm to analyze their finances and give it a score, and tons of other things. My question is, is all of this just a bunch of smoke and mirrors? Or can it actually be beneficial to a beginner like myself? Here is an example of one of the AI tools that I'm considering investing in [https://www.audit-ally.com/](https://www.audit-ally.com/) it sounds like it would be helpful but I'm not completely sure? Does anyone have any insight to this topic?

Only stonk in the world is green is AMGN that i have puts on Call me clown now!!!
VRNA, VRTX & AMGN have had an insane month. 45% of my total gains back in May were because of them.
Hard to say, there will likely be some pullback because it’s still in a testing phase and so no revenue to be made yet unlike NVO and LLY who actually have a product. If I can remember NVO and LLY got similarly wrecked when AMGN announced their once-monthly weight loss drug during their earnings call earlier this year. AMGN pumped after-hours but pulled back the following day. If I had to guess, there could be a chance that VKTX would pullback tomorrow. IV is going to be high though.
Look at AMGN, GS, ULTA, FDX, FSLR, WSM today...that's a broad market preventing any downward drill
wooh! My boomer stock AMGN is up 2.5%. That never happens...😲
Plenty of green stocks out there in a broad range of industries...AMGN, GS, WYNN, etc. This is a tech blowoff day after an unbelievable run Big bank earnings tomorrow and we run again
LLY 100% also diving into AMGN now as they are getting involved and have a product that will most likely beat out LLY seeing as it is a once a month or 3 month injection instead of weekly
Personally I deal in LEAPS. currently hold SNOW. MU UBER GOOGLE COFI GDX AMGN Imade large gains in Uber and Micron .long term APPLE and of course NVIDIA which I currently hold 210 shares after the split.
Defensives probably do well right now, (i.e. top Dow 30 stocks like UNH (health insurance) or V or MCD or AMGN (pharma)).
Agreed. But I don’t have the guts to pick a start up. AMGN and JNJ for me, mostly because I think they’ll just acquire early stage research firms.
You might be missing out on LLY, VRTX, AMGN or even RNA.
ELV, PAYC, AMGN, SYY, KYCCF are a couple solid new positions I’m starting to collect
I can't wait for the market to open. I got a 6 pronged approach to what im going to be buying today. In my blue chip account, I'm thinking Nvidia or nvdl, AMGN, META , Costco & LLY. On my higher risk account my AEMD exposure is going wayyyy up. It's unfortunate there's no call options available :( ** Maybe 7 pronged. Possible TSLQ (1x bearish tesla) or some ARKK puts. Inverse Cathie Wood strat 😎 However, im gonna flip a coin best of 3 to win a point, then best of 5 (on both). Heads yes, tails no. *** Yes, I can be a degenerate at times, but its for only option **** Shoot, gotta factor in Juneteenth (not even sure what that holiday is for gonna google it now) ***** Megacap & Microcap mix. I wanna see some squeezing in my life this year 😂
Man, I was just thinking on playing long call spreads , guess what is behind the corner ? Flue season plus election .... Did you follow all the pharma sector and what happen when they reported ? Take a look at VRTX , MRNA Pfizer, Elly and AMGN, the whole pharma sector has been catching up with the tech sector slowly but gradually ...
Copy pasta from ~ 3:30 Added 519c for friday: @ 0.89 HL 5c for 5/17 @ 0.15 (break even is silly) Order in for RVMD 40c 5/17 @ 1.55 (won't fill, but they are bedmates with AMGN) PFE 29c out to 6/21 may make something. NOT married to them LLY, crazy diamond, you. Still Battleship-Gold-Bonding those with my geriatric ass PACK... you stink. Out to 11/15, 7.5c. If it would just do the thing. KTOS STILL languishes there like a [redacted] in Las Vegas August heat. Monkey business. OH... the FD ARM too.
Long $AMGN for a bounce back to $300+
