Maybe different people have different definitions of a “steal”. At best, you’re looking for a 1R trade, when probability is very low. DELL needs to pump over 10% for this to happen, which isn’t very likely. Even if this trade pans out, over time taking 1R trades with low probability will mathematically result in a massive drawdown. Looking at the charts, DELL and SMH just set a lower high, the current market vibe is rotation from hardware to software. Doesn’t seem like a good setup from that perspective. As far as fundamentals, you mention expectations. So in order for DELL to jump 10%, those expectations need to be dramatically surpassed, not just met. Of DELL doesn’t increase the guidance, but merely maintains, what’s the most likely outcome? Big down. Overall, it is your trade and your risk. Just be aware that if DELL opens even slightly up, let’s say, 460, your option value will be down 50-75%. Look at the charts - it tried to break out of a nice bull flag, but failed to follow through. I think the probability is about 60% that it goes to the bottom of that flag trend line, which is around 360 - 380. Good luck!
Do more research, DELL is not going to be one of the winners once this spending boom dies down. They already de-rated, they only have more to fall.
Its not as obvious as MRVL last week. MRVL was 8% drop. Dell was backed by taco thats why the price was almost pinned 450. Now the problem is DELL has backlog and revenue, but margin is hidden. So in this case it all depends on margin guidance. If data centers business can get 15% for a full year using cheaper tech than SMCI then DELL wont down under 450. If they predict margin 10% its getting smoked to hell..
Yes, financially DELL is doing very well. But that doesn't mean the stock price will go up. Now put the fries in the bag.

Anyone watching $DELL? Down \~3% today after the Warsh speech, but earnings are Tuesday. Looking at the $470C around $20. If the stock gets back to 470–480 Monday and then beats + raises guidance, seems like those contracts could move pretty hard. Am I crazy for thinking $20 is a decent entry here? Or is the IV/earnings premium already pricing the whole move in? 🫡

if SMCI plays it right it can become another DELL (300B market cap, SMCI is at 25B) they're aggressively selling AI servers now, eventually they will maintain and improve them, and maybe they should provide value add services like in-house fine tuning software for companies buying their servers

Part of my screen is IVP relative to HVP. Ideally IVP is above 50 and HVP is at least 20 points lower. For example I’ve been selling a lot of strangles on DELL that has been in the 80+ IVP where historical has been about 50. Im still relatively new to trading options, but this has been one if my screens for “am i being paid well fir the amount if risk?”
