Richest Canada Lithium Brine Deposit ever found today: $EMPPF has 75%, ROK ($PTRDF) has 25% but ROK already a 1 PE stock from oil profits. They hit Lithium while trying to find oil.
How does this EMP look in terms of stability and viability?
I wat an EMP to wipe the market out.... put and end to it all
What is the probability that a Russian nuclear attack knocks out Robinhood servers so I don't have to repay my negative margin balance caused by excessive 75c BBBY calls?
Why do markets commonly behave contrary to EMP, in the context of immediate valuation?
My REALLY half assed thought process into where im going to buy next.

What cause of a U.S. stock market crash would you hesitate to buy (if any)?
That's the least of your problems in case of an EMP lol. Implying that such an EMP would even happen during our lifetime 🤣🤣
EMP hits US. You decide to flee to a different country. All your money is in Bitcoin. What do you do?
But when did the last planet-sized EMP happen? 🤔
Bitcoin users tend to not know that when the nuclear EMP fries all of their electronics, permanently knocks out the internet, and wipes out the power grid, they won’t be able to access their digital wallet to pay for water rations.
Nuke wipes out Bitcoin because of the EMP. Gold and silver remain.
What good is bitcoin if the electrical grid goes down, say via an EMP? Honestly, just curious.
I was talking about EMP, idk why he to bet on FRC hitting $40 to let everyone know he’s coming out the closet 😭
It is very similar to gold and there are pros and cons to both. But there is more risk involved with Bitcoin though. It relies on a computer network to maintain the chain, which needs to be compensated and maintained. It is vulnerable to EMP attacks, if your wallet gets fried your done. If you need to use a 3rd party exchange, you are vulnerable to fraud. The ruling governments see it as a threat and want to destroy it. Currently they can’t destroy it by force, so rather than driving it underground they are bringing it to light and will try to make an example out of it to scare off anyone from defying their currency’s power. And lastly, it’s main advantage is being the first to market. In the future if another coin creates a better system it may lose. These last two reasons are why we are seeing so many different cryptocurrencies. Some may be trying to improve, but the vast majority are to scam the adopters and make a bad example of the cryptocurrency trend. I don’t think it was a coincidence that SBF had political connections, I think he was a government installation. If crypto succeeds, the blockchain will be used as a list to hunt down holders and they will be propagandized as criminals and traitors. Real catch 22 situation.
People gonna need chips after the EMP.
No more of an issue than they are today. And this is to say: extremely low probability of actually causing a problem, but extremely high severity when they do cause a problem. On the topic of EMPs: the only way we know how to induce them is with nuclear weapons. If you see those get used, you have bigger concerns than whether your car will start or not. You can't outrun global nuclear war. I'm the topic of solar flares: the odds are extremely low. We see flares on an 11-year cycle (of which, we're currently approaching the peak of the current cycle), but we rarely see flares strong enough to disrupt electronics on the ground. It's even more rare for such a flare to even be aimed at the earth, and rarer still for the flare to be strong enough to *damage or destroy* electronics on the ground. We're fortunate in the the Earth, relative to it's size, has one of the strongest magnetic fields in the solar system. So, we're well shielded. All that said: modern EVs are no more at risk from either of these things than a modern ICE is. Unless you're driving a car from the 70s or 80s, it has semiconductors in the mix that it relies on to start and run. If we get hit with a solar flare or EMP strong enough to disable EVs, then ICE cars will be equally disabled.
Azure is a dumb idea. The cloud will be the end of modern society after the EMP
That’s called an EMP and they are real weapons of war nobody wants to happen. You’d have absolute fucking chaos.
Don’t worry…. we would only default on bonds held by non-voters. What? China has been dumping their U.S. bonds? Either they anticipate getting stiffed… or there’s a ballon with an EMP in our future. EMP? No… it doesn’t stand for Emerging Market Portfolio… or maybe it does.
Set off an EMP at your nearest Data Center.

Here are a few ways to burn imaginary cash: Ctrl A + delete Alt + F4 EMP 'Cyber attack'
Interesting. Not that you asked: 1. It's the last two words in your first sentence: "large fires". That's the money maker. They are happening more frequently AND they are largely paid for by municipalities, which have sort of loose purchasing. I don't comment on what I do not know or have not experienced personally btw. 2. I don't believe in global warming as a climate event. 3. Not if, but when. Covid was the warmup. 4. Won't matter because everything is digitally stored and that will be bye-bye due to the EMP's caused by airborne nukes. I checked the options market its almost all institutions, which is BS. Also, the spreads are very wide which signals to me that it is an illiquid market. AND, they only have 2023 expiry so unfortunately, I pass. I really liked the thesis though. Also, option pricing is all elevated right now. Perfect world is a lower VOL world. Thanks!
If that happens you can expect one or more of the following: - nuclear fallout, or if you’re lucky a quick vaporization - some biological weapon with > 30% mortality - getting drafted into the pacific theater - getting shot by a robot dog with a machine gun - fight hoards of your fellow countrymen over food and toilet paper at your local Walmart - reading old printed Reddit posts by candle light when the EMP takes out all electronics But hey, puts will print.
The argument above doesn't rely on any of those points, so I don't know why you think drawing a distinction to refute them is relevant. The previous comment doesn't point at vulnerability to EMPs as a foundation for their claims, they point to net negative cash flows (from security costs). We could imagine a hypothetical EMP-hardened Bitcoin network and none of the above arguments would be any less true. As I said the minor inherent value is the only material difference, as it creates a price floor for gold that BTC does not have. There are many credible reasons why you could think gold is a good store of value (and a much better investment than bitcoin), but it being a productive asset is not one of them.
I live in a hurricane zone. We went two weeks without power during a tropical Storm but we still Had a generator and running vehicles and phones, all things we would lose in an EMP blast. I heard that number and my jaw dropped, but I can see it.
I heard today on a talk radio interview today that a White House commissions report a few years back claimed that if the United States went without electricity for 11 months, 90% of the population would die. The interviewee believed that the spy balloons are a dry run for EMP’s. I have to know that and now so do you Ha!
All joking aside, those balloons are actually a great vehicle to deliver a high altitude EMP from. No shit.
They may not be UFOs but Chinese wifi delivery systems to gain access to 5g and infect all networks and devices with viruses to fuck and shut us down. Better than an EMP at least sneakier
Was that a high altitude EMP nuke to shut it all down? They say it was the size of a small car.
imagine if an EMP balloon erases all financial records nationwide....that's just one way that bulls could be fuk
Hey when am EMP hits and we go live in the last of us/walking dead. The people who learned to live in analogue will thrive. Have you been to a library and learned to find a book literally 10x your age? Can you find your way in life without a GPS?
A balloon could hold an EMP (obviously this one didn’t, but whose to say it’s not a test run for a more concealed balloon later). It can pick up on radio waves, cell transmissions, etc. who knows what they were using it for. This argument assuming it’s just a camera taking pictures is silly. One thing I’m sure of is that no fucking weather balloon has a solar array that makes it look like a space station.
Yeah I’m an electrical engineer I know how silver and gold are utilized in electronics. But again it wholly depends on what the catalyst for the apocalypse is. If it’s a slow spiral of the reversal of societal norms where there is less of a mass extinction type event. Then gold and silver might be valuable to have at some point in the trend back toward a more balanced and functional society. However, even in that scenario it becomes more about survival. People will have more reliance their primitive brain and there will be a lot more kill or be killed and tribal mentality. Additionally, that trend back toward a more balanced and functional society will likely take a very long time, decades at minimum. Most people will need basic electrical infrastructure which can be built with primarily copper or tin wire before they’ll need advanced tech components. And with the abundance of existing resistors etc… in what would be an essentially destroyed modern world (assuming it wasn’t EMP related) people would harvest chip components from left over tech before they would trade silver and gold to manufacture new tech. You have a higher chance being killed for a bottle of water and a can of beans, before you’d ever get to the point of your gold and silver being valuable in a post apocalyptic future.
Are they practicing how they are going to send a shit ton of EMP?
Okay so not an EMP like OP said
I thought you only do it to detonate an EMP, which didn’t happen, therefore no military 🤗
There is no point flying a military craft over Montana except to detonate an EMP weapon and disable a bunch of our nukes
A balloon carrying an EMP weapon would cripple the country for years
Wave of Chinese EMP balloons priced in?
EMP delivery vehicle. Fry the circuits in 135 billion worth of advanced missile systems sitting in bunkers in Montana and the Dakotas. Needed to be secret and precise because they didn’t want to fry NORAD, that would be too noticeable.
Definitely not carrying an EMP device and is going to short out all of North America soon.
It is more likely that the purpose of this EMP was to test our response than anything else. Maybe next time there is an EMP on board, we should be better prepared.
It’s more about testing us and what we will do in response. Maybe next time theirs an EMP on board
Bears praying for EMP attack
They are no match for EMP bombs
Agree on the EMP threat but our ISR assets have already screened that shit for weapons- especially the nuke sniffers. They have been up according to Flight Radar 24, so confident this isn’t a Trojan. Sadly it’s about right where it needs to be to fuck up most of CONUS. But again, we have been watching that shit since the Aleutians. Edit: I may know a thing or two about this.
Like I said. Waving and eating an ice cream cone. EMP at that altitude could destroy the American electrical grid. We have no way of knowing if they have one onboard. Bring it the fuck down now while it’s flying over cow pastures
Imagine if it had been a preemptive EMP attack, and these dildos in the defense department just let it float across our airspace.
An EMP or solar flare would also leave 90% of Americans dead in the first year according to nasa. Gold and silver won’t be skyrocketing in value if thats case either
Good thing I built that EMP emitter, for when the robots take over.
Is this before we drop a nuke in orbit over Canada so they cannot launch in the first place with a EMP? ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
They’re fools. An EMP or a solar flair from the sun will wipe out all digital currencies. Gold and silver are the future.
#Bitcorn an ESHARE reward token. Dev and team have close relations with the EMP team and have been mentioned on their AMAS The goal is to join the EMP “liquidity mining” aspect of the project and generate passive income for holders and participants https://t.me/Bitcorn_official #BITCORN #BITCORN
Oh good, so you wont be fucked when and EMP hits, but be honest, most of your coder peers are dumb as shit, lazy, and are quick to call a handy man. Honestly, you are gonna be a pub in a few years. Just the way it works bro. Gonna get sick of these dems fucking up our economy sooner or later.
Who needs to EMP California, when we have Texas at home?
Good luck getting an EMP to go off everywhere on the globe all at once. All it takes is one hard drive with the blockchain on it to survive and bitcoin survives.
Exactly, if an EMP did hit, we’d be trading avocados.
Store it in the microwave to shield it from EMP, but wrap it in aluminum first.
the only thing that saves humanity is an EMP. jelly of the amish life. fuck all these charts
What if an EMP or solar flare strikes, what's gonna have trade value gold or crypto? Oh wait crypto wouldn't even exist anymore so moot question...Not arguing that crypto doesnt have its place or a future, but it can never be the equivalent of a real asset. That's just an irrefutable fact that for some reason some don't want to accept I dont understand why, as I said it's not like that fact makes it worthless or not worth pursuing.
The market can go completely to zero, there just isn't anyone likely to make that statement because they don't want to acknowledge it can happen to them. One ICBM with a nuke detonated over the continental US high enough to have line of sight over the whole thing could have that kind of result. The EMP would fry the entire electrical grid without doing any physical damage to US infrastructure, it would be an ideal first strike if someone seriously wanted to subdue the population and take US natural resources. Anyone interested can look at some [congressional testimony to that effect here.](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CHRG-110hhrg45133/pdf/CHRG-110hhrg45133.pdf) Realistically, the true answer is that the market can't lose more than 80 to 90 percent without there being problems that are so bad you just won't care what is happening to the market. It certainly can lose that much. The market is forward looking and assumes future profits and growth. If those assumptions are incorrect, the discovery is likely to coincide with economic turmoil that forces selling by individuals that need money immediately to handle lost jobs. That's what happened during the great depression and it's certainly possible. All of that said, there are also many possibilities that cause the market to go up in massive and unexpected ways. That's just the joy of investing
Anyone else have this problem where you’re driving through town then all of a sudden its like you’ve been hit with an EMP and your phone loses all service until you reset it? Annoyint af.
Russian spies if you are reading this please **EMP** us so I can’t lose anymore money trading 0DTE’s!
Fun to speculate with. But if the crap hits the fan and there are major long-term power outages because of an EMP, solar electrical storm, natural disaster, etc.... people with only crypto are going to be screwed.
I don't think so. I mean potentially maybe. But I would think that the possibility of an EMP weapon being used, that would knock out internet access and fry any storage devices/cold wallets/hard drives and other devices would render crypto an unsafe bet. In war time I think you would want a physical asset in your hands, be it gold and sliver, physical dollars, or even some other physical asset that would be worthy of trading for goods and services. I don't think it would be very smart to load up on anything that is exclusively digital.
The robot sleeps, Russian EMP took his servers out.
Gonna need a worldwide EMP for that to happen but then we'll have bigger problems lol.
Lol. Unless the entire world gets EMP’d IT is going nowhere my friend
An EMP would cause everyone to revert back to animals within weeks. Do you not remember people fighting each other in grocery stores over toilet paper...?

Only if China is planning on mirroring North Korea's policy of Juche. An "EMP attack" is a nuclear attack, China would be an immediate international pariah.
Pretty easy for China to fix with an EMP attack on Taiwan fabs, assuming that they can live without the Taiwan chips themselves.
Oh yeah, a mass EMP event, like a small scale nuke detonated a mile over the US? Wipes out almost all cars, trucks, computers, phones. Puts us back in the 20s except nobody knows how to survive on their own, and the logistics of the country are completely fucked for 6+ months at least. Pretty scary shit, and the main reason anybody actually gives a shit about Iran and North Korea.
Considering an EMP event is projected to kill off something like 90% of the population within 6 months…. Probably not
Depends where the EMP hit and how big it was. But that's not the scenario I'm wargaming. The EMP is used on the Project Bluebeam fake alien projection in the sky by the other faction to stop the globohomo plan. Just some weirdness I like to dive into. The nuke threat news is really ramping up tho. I may get at least 1 outta 3
My money is on a combo of nuke threat, Project Bluebeam (Fake aliens), and an EMP.
Pretty sure we’re also overdue for a solar flare large enough to destroy half the worlds infrastructure, and every nuclear weaponized country is technically capable of launching a relatively undetectable small-scale nuke that could be detonated at super high altitudes and cause a massive EMP that wipe out every electronic device within ~1500 square miles, which would most likely kill 80-90% of the population within 6 months.
Always! I like living off the copium that there will be a mass power shift, and we won't have to go to war with machines, but I'm learning how you can make EMP's juuusssssstttt in case, haha.
EMP and invasion of Taiwan. Market is definitely hinting at WW3.
The wave of EMP's should take care of all those electronics.
sounds good until the power grid goes down from a satellite EMP
Man Dafaq is up with the volatility in data today? We get EMP’d by Russia?
Putins EMP's enter chat
You better download that and save it with a player and speaker in an EMP resistant box for when Alexa doesn't work anymore, just saying...
Pretty soon some country is going to figure out making a million autonomous, EMP hardened suicide drones is the cheat code to winning a war.
They call them EMP, electrical magnetic pulse that would do that… and no we don’t want that
As long as there isn’t an EMP
Hey Elon? How is TSLA car doing when EMP strikes lol facker lol
Maybe I’m just naturally an optimist, but is there not a scenario where WW3 happens and nukes don’t fly? With the old mutually assured destruction concept, it seems to me like a slew of EMP or cyber attacks would be more likely and push us all back to the dark ages. Admittedly, your original thought of the market becoming irrelevant still holds up though.
absolutely. and I'm not gonna lie to you I will literally be sitting in front of my laptop raking in my all in puts printing 1000 baggers before internet cuts off from the EMP blast and I disintegrate into atoms moments after
>I don't really care about your threats, but I do find it amusing that you think you have the power to take down Wall Street with a simple EMP. If anything, an EMP would just give me more time to enjoy my life while everyone else is scrambling around trying to figure out how to get their lives back in order.
Green day tomorrow or I EMP wallstreet. Death to the algos.
The most powerful EMP bomb is a nuclear bomb. How you can create a stronger artificial electromagnetic pulse than with using a nuke exploding at a very very high altitude? These are the only nukes Russia might use in Ukraine and would be extremely useful to end the war very fast. There is no defense against it and both the US and UK intelligence have said they don't believe Putin was bluffing this time and I can't imagine any other kind of nukes being used in Ukraine
What you described is an EMP bomb, not a nuke. You seemingly you're going through some irrational thinking with this post. Take a step outside, touch some grass, and reread all that you've posted here
That doesn't really change the calculus, does it. It goes from "we're all destroyed by nuclear winter" to "we're all destroyed by EMP radiation". In either case the stock market, economy and civilisation in general won't matter any more. And let's be honest, a tactical nuke is as bad as a strategic nuke. Once any nuke starts flying we'll be on a one way ticket to WW3 and the destruction of modern civilisation.
