Crazy to think how much media coverage and hype ETHA and stablecoins and treasury companies were getting a year ago. People were saying stablecoins would replace traditional banking/payments etc. Since then ETHA is down -60% from the highs, and treasury companies are down even more.

I don’t understand the relevance of this comment. It has absolutely nothing to do with the information I provided. Hey look, Japanese bond yields hit 30 year highs yesterday, and crypto got absolutely routed again. Hey look, today pollsters in Japan are showing a high likelihood of an election result on February 8 that will spike yields even more, and what happened? Crypto dumped even more. Yeah you got it all figured out man, keep DCAing into IBIT and ETHA and just remind yourself that, based on sheer illogic, ‘crypto hit ATHs last year lolllzzzz’, so I don’t know what I’m talking about.

The problem with PALL is the liquidity is too low. I am doing spreads so contracts number is between 10-20 and low delta contracts just have low liquidity. Yeah SLV make me a bit scared too now - don't want to get assigned in 60-70 range. I may shift my attention to IBIT and ETHA now
It really depends on what you’re doing. Are you selling calls or puts? And what’s your actual goal here. If you’re bullish and want to keep holding, covered calls in a strong up move will keep getting called away. If you’re ok owning more, selling puts usually makes more sense. For me, I’ve mostly been selling puts. I just don’t think SLV (and even PPLT) are in bubble territory yet 😄 USD keeps getting weaker, that’s basically my thesis. Honestly I’ve been making more on those than IBIT and ETHA options lately. Crypto’s pumping again though, so puts there might be easy wins too. Just comes down to what you’re comfortable holding if you get assigned.

It's pretty terrible to be honest. You have a bunch of the same thing, which makes it pointlessly complicated. Convert SCHG & SPM to VOO Convert FDIG to VXUS Convert ETHA to IBIT 70% VOO 10% VXUS 10% GLDM 10% IBIT This gives you basically the same risk profile, but you have international markets, which matches your currency debasement trade.
My entire Roth is IBIT and ETHA.

I kept rolling them and my ETHA calls. I had already made 300% on Etha Dec calls and I was continually rolling GLD and SLV calls. I had a 150% gain an figured it was going tank. It did tank but took a month breather and continued rising. It’s not awful. I did buy NUVB in the 3s and sold recently above 9 so I still made money. But the SLV move is generational

Not sure about SPY, but with the recent crypto market volatility, and the Hut 8 news. I can’t imagine anyone that doesn’t have to will hold BTC over the weekend. TO SELL, i periodically held through multiple bull runs and watched my bag go down (speculative bets like btc, etc, mstr etc) This time i didnt fuck up, i picked mstr up at like 100$ pre split, made a solid 4500% on it, bet on it going down and purchased SMST at 22$ and sold it at 76$ Purchased intel at 15$ sold it at 37 Bought ETHA around 15-22$ sold it also around 35-37$ Now im betting on a semi conductor slow down, current positions are in TZA, SOXS, UVIX and some calls on the vix 18$ End of Jan expiry. I think after christmas we see action in venezuala, japan rate hike on friday. (small position) Then im sitting on mostly cash and commodities (rio tinto, enbridge) "Hoping" for a small dip and entering into some safer positions for the long run. I learned alot from 2017-2025 and im finally learning to take profit and use it towards my home and debt & to execute capital when there is blood on the streets.

How is it wheeling ETHA/SOLT? I avoided crypto ETFs in general just due to the potential violent swings.
First of all, congrats, awesome wins! To get 75%, you've taken on a lot of risk - so far you've managed it well enough...but never a bad idea to review risk management - position sizing, concentration risk, trading some non-correlated assets, etc. When I get assigned, I like to sell covered strangles, rather than straight covered calls. Double the premiums, because I'm selling a call and a put at the same time. Only do this if my thesis on the stock is intact, I'm not too concentrated in the stock already, and the position size is manageable. If the stock keeps falling, I get assigned, and I've lowered my cost basis (as you mentioned), but I also collect the premiums on the short call. The short call and short put offset each other and gives you lots of options to manage or defend either leg. Check out tastytrade youtubes on defending strangles.
