There can still be a bull case for ETHA, but the idea that every unprofitable small cap company should pivot into a DAT has probably peaked.

Mentions:#ETHA#DAT

After all the retail traders that were liquidated, hard to see digital assets being bullish for a while. And for all the hype about ETHA, it's barely outperforming QQQ.

Mentions:#ETHA#QQQ

Yall are about to see the biggest crypto move in history to the upside and you’re not in treasury options whether it’s IBIT or ETHA. I’m literally 300K deep in this shit lmfao

Mentions:#IBIT#ETHA

I think digital assets are going to be quite bearish for a while now. All the bros that got wiped out with leverage are not going to be returning any time soon since they are broke. Institutional investors that were considering an allocation to IBIT/ETHA are probably reconsidering now given the risk of a flash crash. Many assumed that volatility had normalized enough to the extent that was safe for big funds to start allocating, but that's clearly not the case.

Mentions:#IBIT#ETHA

Gold increased yesterday while IBIT/ETHA fell double digits. Pretty clear that digital assets are just leveraged QQQ. Not at all "digital gold."

lmao, the amount of hype that went into ETHA and treasury companies, stablecoins and to think it's now down -25% from the high. Zero gains since July and back to 2024 prices.

You say it's a viable strategy, but you don't seem to be so in favor of it. The other way I thought to get a bigger return on my investment, as IBIT, ETHA, or Solana goes up 50%, is to get a 2X ETF...BITX, ETHU, or SOLT. But they rebalance daily, so I don't know how much more I would get, even if I'm right and the underlying goes up 50% from here....maybe 90%, but maybe a lot less. I don't know. Given my 3 choices: 1. just hold the underlying; 2. buy long-term LEAPS at about 1/2 price, in order to control about double the amount of shares; 3. buy the 2X ETFs....which would you suggest? And do you think I can make a lot more percentage profit with either choice 2 or choice 3, than just choice 1...with the thesis being that the underlying will go up about 50% in the next few months? Thanks for taking the time to try to help me.

ETHA leaps for the cheap yes thank you

These comments are depressing. Everyone is going to be bewildered when Bitcoin runs to 200K in like 2 months. We’re in the late stage cycle and I’m not going to get into all the 500 indicators that point towards 200-250K Bitcoin and 9-11K Ethereum. I’m in with 100K in ETHA 3/20/26 $45 calls already up 50%. Let’s get this fucking money OP. These people have no idea what they’re missing.

Nice brother very similar scenario for me (10Xd my Roth as well). I’m now in ETHA calls, Ethereum is primed for an explosive move up and it will be the next play that blasts my Roth higher IMO. https://preview.redd.it/4ibfmo94idtf1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbf506e9dff71d968ce455fc76b5e0b3e6a0a5ba

Selling covered calls on a stock moving up in spurts doesn't seem like a good idea...I can miss out on some of the gains, even with rolling. So, I want to know if there is another good way to get bigger gains AS the stock goes up, let's say at least another 50%. (CLSK, IBIT, ETHA...and when there is a spot SOL ETF very soon) I thought maybe to buy LEAPS for a year and three months/Jan. 27 or even 2 years & three months/Jan 28 at a 90% or more Delta for a strike price of about 1/2 of the stock price now...in order to control double the amount of shares. Then, if the shares go up 50% I would be able to sell them back at 45% higher (90% of the upside)...but since I would control double the amount of shares, I would really sell all the options back for a 90% gain. And a 90% gain, corresponding to a 50% gain in the stock would be a BIG difference. Does this make sense...meaning is this set-up something I can likely find? And do I have a correct understanding, & therefore this is advisable to make even more profit? Or is there some trap or something I'm missing or getting wrong? Thanks so much for the help

How dare crypto pump before I could buy more ETHA calls. Shoulda rolled instead of selling on Friday

Your question doesn't really make any sense. What does "single index fund" that is primarily composed of bitcoin and ethereum mean to you? There is really no such thing. What specific fund are you talking about? Are you talking about IBIT and ETHA or something else? There are lots of ways to liquidate and/or reduce the holding. But it depends on what you actually hold. Also - 2mm is insignificant and it won't affect the price of a liquid funds or BTC or ETH. But it depends on what you actually mean. If you want to have a meaningful discussion - share the fund ticker.

You’re selling off something like IBIT and ETHA that funds buy and sell billions of daily. Put a limit order in for the full amounts at the market price and watch it sell off without an issue.

The outperformance of digital assets is likely over imo. IBIT now moves like a MAG7 stock, and despite all of the hype about stablecoins, treasury companies, and ETF launches, ETHA is only ~3% ahead of the MAGS Magnificent 7 ETF YTD. IBIT is underperforming MAGS. YTD: * ETHA: +23% * IBIT: +19% * MAGS: +20% * MSFT: +22% * META: +30% * NVDA: +36% * GOOGL: +33% * ORCL: +96% * AVGO: +46% For digital assets to outperform, there need to be way more new buyers, and that's just not happening. Poor recent returns are keeping traders out because they can earn better risk-adjusted returns with stocks. Boomers are not buying digital assets either.

$60 is pretty high especially where ETHA is at. I think there is some speculative support for the stock because BMNR was meeting with the Capital about crypto reserve. I got to think that it drops again before ETH rallies again. But I am sure ETH will rally in price so I guess the question is when will they issue new shares? I waited until it dropped to $45 and rode it to $60 and sold half for profit taking. What do you all think?

I'm thinking, for the weekend: Add to Robinhood Add to ASTS Calls on ETHA

The responses here demonstrate why you always counter trade Reddit. The point is to make money but people let their emotions and biases get in the way. Same behavior here on reddit when I yolo’d into UNH at $270 (“shit company, Trump is squeezing pharma prices”) GOOGL at 160 (“monopoly that will be forced to sell business units off, EU fines”), ETHA at 20 (“vaporware scam”), AMD at $100, and so many more (CRWD, SNOW, etc.) SNAP was a no brainer for me at $7 regardless of the underlying business, I’m up almost 20% in 2 weeks on shares but sold half yesterday since I think it’s overbought now. Buying deep fear and counter trading reddit has been my best trading strategy to date. Dont let Reddit sway you away from your trade thesis.

YOLO? These will swing hard so you gotta be ready, Bmnr, Mara, MSTR, riot. Or if you want safer just do IBIT or ETHA. Go at least 1-2 months out

Treasury companies are pointless for most investors (in some cases ETFs are not available). It's just betting on company management instead of the currency, which creates all sorts of new risks. MSTR was the gold standard for treasury companies and YTD is underperforming IBIT by ~11%. Now that every unprofitable company is trying to start a treasury company, there is not really any edge compared to just buying IBIT/ETHA.

Fuck Crypto, only interested in ETHA or IBIT Options.

I backtested buying calls on ETHA (ethereum etf) vs ETHU (2x ethereum etf), and ETHA returns more on the calls due to tighter spreads and no loss in fees for normal moves. ETHU only returns more for huge moves. In theory it is interesting to think about. Like if we did an option chain on the ETHA $40 jan 2026 calls, and bought a 30 delta call on a 40 delta call. It is essentially like buying calls on ETHU. Greater upside for huge moves up, but higher probability of expiring worthless, and the spreads are worse.

I have better DD why it will moon — I bought ETHA this year sold for 2 a share profit.. then it mooned. I bought NVDA this year sold for 20 a share profit.. then it mooned. I bought BABA this year sold for 15 a share profit.. then it mooned. I bought GOOG this year sold for 10 a share profit… it just mooned. I bought GAP less than a month ago and already sold for a 2 a share profit.

If you're not a crypto guy... strongly recommend reading up on BTC cycle history and understand where we are in the current cycle with respect to NOVEMBER time and price predictions. (Michael & Jason Pizzino have great analysis on this). Elliot Wave Theory suggests that we either have completed wave 5 and the peak is in at $125k. Or we're headed towards a wave 5 extension into a November peak with the next pivot above $125k at $136k. In either case, your debit spread expiring December 2025 will probably be OTM then, and all premium paid for the debit spread will be lost. If BTC does peak above $125k in November, the spread might be worth maybe 50% of max profit at that time. If so, close the spread then. This analysis ignores any macro-economic factors, such as Fed rate change in Sept, or any geo-political issues, or anymore taco time bullshit - all of which, I would argue, hasten the peak height and end the bull run. . Position: ETHA 35/45c exp 11/21/25 I've made my money on BTC this cycle. Rotated into ETH

If I could go back in time, investing in SPY or QQQ on a DCA strategy for your first 3-5 years is not a bad idea. I would also add some IBIT and ETHA. These are investments you can hold for a decade or longer. Spend time learning about investing on your own in the mean time and when you're comfortable, start diversifying your account.

Picked up a few ETHA calls for this afternoon. Ethereum pumps every Friday 40% of the time.

I started actively swing and day trading this year with a taxable account and a rollover ira. Started about 30k each.  I lost over 10k on gld at one point. Went from up 12k to losing 7k on euro and 30y treasury futures. Lost 7k on mnq twice. The second time was super painful. After clawing back the first 7k over two weeks, I lost it again in a day. Lost 4k buying calls on ETHA right before ppi came in hot and killed the rally. That’s all just this year.  Amazingly I’m just about even for the year with some big wins to offset the losses. Have some unrealized gains that should swing me to about 30% for the year if I manage them well.  Each time I took a big loss, I took a little time off, like a few days or a week. And I thought hard about the mistakes I made and how to do better. Looking back I realize I didn’t understand the nuances of options and the strategies I was using. I’ve worked to fill that knowledge gap through live trading, reflection and research. I realized I was letting winners turn into losers so I committed to setting stop losses to keep winners green, and accepting small losses do they don’t turn into big ones. Realized I was just buying the intraday dips on mnq, which works until it doesn’t, so I straight up stopped trading it until I figure out an edge. Decided to be more cautious buying into rallies like ETH (and not to trade etf options on an underlying that trades 24/365.)  Point is, I’ve used every big loss as an opportunity to take a step back and reflect on my mistakes, to shake off the emotional impact, and to come back an improved and mentally centered trader.  Best of luck, hope you can come back stronger for your loss.

Legit take. If you’re just after BTC/ETH exposure, ETFs like IBIT and ETHA via traditional brokers make total sense regulated, custodied, simple. COIN (Coinbase) only really matters if: 1. You want direct ownership of crypto (not IOUs). 2. You plan to use crypto (DeFi, dApps, NFTs). 3. You want to self-custody (which ETFs don’t let you). 4. You want exposure to altcoins not in ETFs (though that comes with risk). But yeah if you’re a long-term investor who just wants price exposure without dealing with keys, wallets, or exchanges, Robinhood + ETFs works fine. Just keep in mind: ETF = no actual control of the asset. Not your keys, not your coins. That’s why I eventually moved everything off exchanges into a Cypherock hardware wallet, provides real ownership, no middlemen.

Wow! That's unbelievable. I think I'll go for those same ETHA calls right before September 14th rate cut. I think we hit $5500 ETH then pullback to $4400 by September 13th. I'm bullish for $6500 ETH by 11/27. That way the option price comes down some due to decay

This is my 3rd week of options. I envy your position. I only have a 140k USD account with margin but I can do level 4 options. So far I've found that 1) Don't sell options if you don't ever want to hold the stock for years when starting out. 2) Need to find highly volatile stuff, but that increased risk 3) ROI 3-5%/month provide okay return with less risk 4) Don't trade earnings, or extremely volatile stuff like CRWV, CRCL until they have accomplished like 78% 5) Fib levels is your friend. I often sell puts around 50%+ retracement or more in 30 days time. 6) Don't sell calls more than 7 days out when the market in an uptrend. Especially to explosive stocks. 7) There is always the next opportunity. I read and look at charts of 10-15+ stocks, but so far have 80% success with ETHA and SOXL selling puts. 8) sell puts with 21-35 days expiry. 9) Don't play with meme stocks.
