This is the same answer I’d give. Only problem is the junior minors were best to buy a year ago. Doesn’t mean they aren’t safe now but I doubt they’ll have the same growth they did the last 12 months as they did the last 12. HMY and AUY (bought out) were my favorites and examples of the crazy growth the last year
Probably should just full port into gold mining companies at this point. Over the last month- NEM, GFI up 20%, KGC up 25%, AU up 40%, HMY almost 50%.

Are you sure? I just checked one such miner, HMY and their gross profit margin is 22%. How the hell would they still make money if their product dropped by 40%? Can you name any miner whose profit margins are above 40%?

Right now, I love my GOLD holdings. I always wanted to sell CC's on it, but it seemed like it was too low of a price. Got a few juniors, that are finally paying off. ​ I'd love to say I made money all the way up on tech and switched to miners at the top, but I've been holding and DCA'ing for awhile now. GOLD, HMY, Yamana Gold, (can't remember the ticker). Other than to start selling at ATH, I'm not sure what my exit strategy is.

Thanks for the tip! Last year they had a strongly reduced income which lead to the devaluation of their stock. Seems like this is the bottom so I put in a little bit. These types of posts are golden, made some nice money on PROG as well as HMY. Lets hope I can add this one to the list as well.

new idea: the yyolo (or yolol) It's like a regular yolo, except it goes on for a year. (year yolo) Gold seems like it will take off in the next year or two. So my new plan is to put all money into gold mining stock leaps. For instance: look at HMY. It was $7 last time gold peaked. Right now an HMY 3c for Jan 2023 is .90. They have calls for Jan 2024. If putting everything for the next year (or two) pans out when gold last peaked, it's a 4x - 5x return. Idk, just trying.

What do you guys think about HMY? (Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited) It's starting to grow and I'm wondering if it's worth Investing short term as things get rusty with the market ATM.
look at 5 year on gold prices. we are at a low for the previous 6 months, but still sitting fairly high. no idea if/when gold will increase in the near future especially with people moving to crypto. with gold miners you want to look for their AISC (all-in sustaining cost). this is what it costs the miner per ounce of gold to mine, with all their expenses. the last figure I see for HMY is $1,341/oz, which is on the high side. if the price of gold falls below that value they cannot mine at a profit. gold was at the price less than two years ago. personally HMY looks overvalued right now
