I'm "only" up 40% on QCOM and see it more like a longer term investment for me. At current levels I'm not sure about the risk/reward ratio for an entry. I'm liking NCL and Prada (both potential turnaround stories), and ORA if it comes down a bit (current P/E of 65 still too high for me). I bought LIFE a couple of weeks ago, but I'm down 20% with it...

That’s me!  Nothing really in that space. Missed the run on ORA since it was always too expensive for how I like to buy things.  Never really found any plays in geothermal directly that made sense. It’s like BESS.  I know the technology is growing and I’m more bullish on both, but it’s hard to find pure plays.  Been eyeing HTHY recently, which they are just more grid modernization. It’s a big boring Japanese company, but should be a great set and forget computer.

I can double check but it’s growing like crazy in the US too, but for utilities.  Even Texas and Florida are growing a ton because solar is so cheap now, so it makes economic sense.  Like this is form August  https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=65964#:~:text=Developers%20added%2012%20gigawatts%20(GW,of%20electric%20generating%20capacity%20changes. Around Florida’s growth for example  https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/08/02/how-florida-quietly-surpassed-california-in-solar-growth.html It’s something that a lot of people don’t realize or think about. Like they lump solar into one bucket. I’m actually pretty bearish on anything residential solar. Utilities are growing it like crazy.  Same with geothermal. BLS has done some permitting changes to make easier to build. ORA is an example of a pure play for geothermal that’s been pumping. Never bought it because the fundamentals were always too expensive for me.   I really wish we could talk about energy in the lens of national security and the ability to bring down prices rather than just environmental reasons.

ORA is an interesting name, never pulled the trigger because it was too expensive for my liking, but has been on a solid run. They are like a pure geothermal play. I really like geothermal and I think is a bit underrated. I follow some energy people on x/twitter and the BLM has changed up laws recently to make geothermal easier to build. Personally, I think makes more sense than nuclear, but like you said earlier, the key is to use it all. I don't really get why some people get stuck in the mindset of either/or versus just saying we should do everything we can to generate more energy. NXT has been only my long plays because the cost of solar+battery storage is winning and we are even seeing red states grow this footprint because it makes the most economic sense now. I'd love to see a push to rebrand some of this stuff as environmental as much as it's a national security issue.

I must have missed that first post, haven't been posting as often in here with football and hockey season starting. I have liked EMR (no position) mainly because they are transitioning to a pure automation play. They acquired a really niche APC product called DMC I beleive the name. The valuation hasn't made a ton of sense yet but margins should expand once they digest that product. Might have to just start a small position. I need to look into ORA. ORA-69: You are stupid

Mentions:#ORA
r/pennystocksSee Comment

So, back last year when the company was called ORA Gold and it was an explorer, Americans could buy it on OTC under a ticker with an x in the name. The company was exploring and things weren't going incredibly well. Then a new manager came in and the focus changed to The Murchison region. The new manager pulled the shares off of OTC- you can't buy them via OTC anymore. That's the price they were when they were stopped. The company changed name to match the new area of focus with the incredible intersections. No point in digging up ordinary intersections when you've hit an area 20 metres thick that has 277grams per ton. No point when you've hit an area 4 metres thick with 1360 grams of gold per ton. So when you see that price, you're looking at an internet ghost or, a memory of what the price was back in October 2024, back before the Murchison happened.

Mentions:#ORA
r/pennystocksSee Comment

If I were you, I'd hold. So let me share an observation from the last 3 weeks. The area that NMG is in is called the Murchison region. Notice how the company changed name from ORA Gold to New Murchison Gold? Yeah, that's because the biggest gold discoveries are coming out of the Murchison region now. So, in the last 3 weeks, 2 other gold miners announced they were going to begin mining in the Murchison, and for both companies when they announced that, they were the biggest gainers on the ASX for the day. I reckon we're looking at a gold rush and the whole tariff thing that is hammering US retail, is going to play into this. Money is globally looking for safety now, and that's physical gold, gold shares or T-Bonds. You should hang on because the manager has not only said they will pay a one cent dividend next year but, he has said he's open to a share buy back to reduce the number of shares on offer. Record gold grades, Dividends, Share buy-back. Look, if you make a packet and you need to clear debts, you do what you gotta do but, wise hands would hold because it's going to be a lucrative investment while everything else is going nowhere.

Mentions:#NMG#ORA#ASX
r/pennystocksSee Comment

It was. Not listed as an OTC anymore. It's a shame because it's an explorer and it finally hit good pay. The company has focused on the \*Murchison region\* now (crazy good gold there) which is why the ORA name was dropped. You're going to have to find an online international broker. Chase this up- it's going to be worthwhile because there's a recession coming and gold is always the hedge when the economy stagnates.

I'm Israeli: The Shekel has dropped in value making Israeli stocks more attractive to foreign investors. There are many dual listing or close enough companies like Teva, ORA, Brainsway, TSEM, Delek. With Hamas and Hezbollah weakened the security situation should improve. A weak economy and shekel is also great for the many many export focused companies in tech, bio, natural gas etc. Since expenses will be cheaper and income and raised capital will be more effective. I'm bearish on the Israeli economy long term due to the demographic shifts long term (poorly educated religious people have most of the kids). There is also a shitty government now full of firebrands and ultra religious folk like the finance minister (I could write a book about what a dumbass he is). For instance his economic theory is "with God's help". He bet a bottle of whiskey the yearly deficit would be much lower than it was, can't be bothered to make a yearly budget etc.

In european countries Tesla Model Y is the best sold EV by a very big margin year over year. The competitors aren’t even close except on specific months when a new EV is launched before people realise how behind they still are and the sales plummet (Jaguar I-Pace, Polestar 2, Mercedes Benz EQC, ORA, MG, VW ID3, Audi E-tron, etc.) so i think there is benefit for Tesla to still keep on going. Also the german made Model Y has very little complaints on build quality, recent repair statistics also show repairs cost the same on average than equivalent ICE cars. Reliability and quality seems to mainly be a problem on the Model S and X, which very few buy, at least in the EU, if anything Tesla should stop building the Cybertruck, S, and X, and just keep improving the Y and 3 and build cheaper cars. Right now in the EU the Model Y and 3 is a bargain in most of Europe, the price/performance/equipment is tremendously better than the competitors.

ATKR - Many new grid installations are underground and many above ground systems will need to be move under ground for protection from extreme weather events. Atkore provides conduit solutions to make this possible. FLNC - Energy storage and management of intermittent energy sources is an unresolved issue for new grid infrastructure. There are many startup energy storage companies but Fluence has completed projects and is backed by Siemens and AES Corporation. ORA - Utility scale geothermal energy is an often overlooked part of the renewable energy market and provides reliable base load power. Ormat is the global leader in large scale geothermal and they are already supplementing this capacity with energy storage to provide more base load services.

The idea behind this post was to determine which stock (NEE or CWEN) was better for a growth portfolio. Are you suggesting that BEP, ORA, FLNC, ERII, or AY are better options, and if you are, then can you single out 1 company?

r/stocksSee Comment

NEE is enormous and has a substantial amount of legacy fossil fuel holdings and transmission assets. The largest subsidiary is Florida Power & Light Company which seems like a long term liability considering the political climate and climate change risk in Florida. A more comparable company would be AGR with potentially better long term asset locations. CWEN is more focused on relatively new renewable energy assets in diverse locations. A more comparable company is AY with more diverse global assets. Some often overlooked renewable energy sources are under represented in the above companies. There are more specialized companies such as BEP for hydropower and ORA for geothermal that can give you some diversification away from just wind and solar. In terms of riskier renewable growth stocks there is FLNC for energy storage and niche water handling energy efficiency company ERII.

r/stocksSee Comment

ORA global leader in large scale geothermal power generation. No one else does it at their scale and efficiency. ERII leader in energy conservation and recovery for pressurized water filtration systems. Essential components for making desalination more economical. Other potential growth areas include pollution remediation and lithium extraction.

Yes, that would put their PE to 7, IF they would be able to grow 50% for five years. Which is... Roughly the average PE of the biggest players of the auto industry. If the growth rate fall to 30% after 5 years of 50% growth... The thing is, if they can deliver half a million cars this Q4 (which I honestly somewhat doubt, but it could be possible), their 2022 deliveries will be up slightly 50% YoY. The catching up competition will eat away their market share. I think that they will probably grow 40% or less from 2023 to 2024, then 30% or less the year after that. Sorry about the total market share, seems like I have misread an article. Sure, they scored 98% in safety assist features in EuroNcap, but NIO ET7 was slightly behind them with 95% and just in 2022 there are already 13 cars (if you don't count the 2 Tesla) over 90%, with cars from NIO, WEY, ORA, NISSAN, BMW, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes and even Subaru. >New Canaccord Genuity Report: Negative, unauthored piece creates ideal buying opportunity on sell-off Shares of ORMP closed down yesterday 28.5% and were down \~8% this morning. We attribute the sell-off to the online posting of a negatively-biased piece with no attribution to authorship. We spoke with management first thing this morning regarding the sell-off. The CEO stated that the company has hired an outside firm to investigate the online posting in depth and to try to identify the author(s) of the report. The company will likely turn this over to the SEC for further investigation. We do not believe the report has any merit. The factual points that were addressed in the report have been well known and were reviewed in our own due diligence efforts before initiating coverage on Oramed (see our initiation of coverage). The management team is compensated very much in line with the prevailing standards of most publicly traded biotech companies. Additionally, the clinical studies conducted by Oramed todate for type 2 diabetes were, in our view, sufficiently designed with adequate dosing duration to deliver the signal and results needed to move into Phase III testing. The studies that were conducted were of the size expected from a biotech company and of course not of the size and magnitude in early studies that a large pharmaceutical company would conduct over multiple years. Importantly, both ongoing Phase III trials for type 2 diabetes have been designed with input from the FDA and are similar in design and powering to most approved drugs for type 2 diabetes. > > ORMD-0801 Phase III enrollment remains strong Additionally, this morning the company announced that the Phase III ORA-D-013-1 study of the oral insulin ORMD-0801 for type 2 diabetes (T2D) treatment has reached a patient enrollment of 75%. This trial is one of the two ongoing Phase III trials being conducted by Oramed in patients with type 2 diabetes. ORA-D-013-1 is the larger study being conducted in the U.S. with T2D patients who are currently on two to three oral blood glucose-lowering medications and have inadequate glycemic control over a period of six to 12 months. The trial intends to enroll 675 patients. Top-line data is expected in 1H23. The second Phase III study, ORA-D-013-2, is recruiting 450 T2D patients in the U.S., Western Europe, and Israel. Patients participating in this study are managing their diabetes with either diet alone or with diet and metformin. In August 2021, the company stated that this study had enrolled and randomized over 25% of the planned 450 patients. We are pleased to see the fast enrollment of both Phase III trials. Oramed is also at the final stages of submitting data from the statistically significant second Phase IIb trial examining ORMD-0801's effect on HbAc1 to a peer-reviewed journal. We stand by our analyses and continue to maintain our BUY rating of the share and the $30 price target.

This was posted today: ORA-D-013-1 is one of two concurrent Phase 3 studies conducted under U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved protocols to treat T2D patients who have inadequate glycemic control over a period of 6 to 12 months. The double-blinded, placebo-controlled, multi-center randomized study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of ORMD-0801. Efficacy data will become available after all patients have completed the first 6-month treatment period. This was posted 01/27/21 Dear Shareholders, We begin 2021 with new hope as vaccines and treatments essential to returning our global community to a new, and better normal are rolling out. During 2021, we are focused on achieving significant advancements with the world's first pivotal Phase 3 oral insulin trial conducted through an FDA approved protocol. We're excited by the progress being made in bringing oral insulin to fruition. Phase 3 Oral Insulin: Enrolling and Randomizing Patients The FDA approved Oramed's two double blind, placebo controlled, multicenter protocols which will evaluate our oral insulin (ORMD-0801) in type 2 diabetes (T2D) as follows: ORA-013-1: Evaluation of efficacy and safety of ORMD-0801 in 675 subjects in the U.S. who have inadequate glycemic control and are currently taking two or three oral glucose-lowering agents ORA-013-2: Evaluation of efficacy and safety of ORMD-0801 in 450 subjects in the U.S., Europe, and Israel who have inadequate glycemic control and are on diet modification without medication, or on metformin monotherapy- In November 2020, we initiated screening patients for ORA-013-1, and we continue to screen and randomize patients at a growing number of sites in the United States, making ORMD-0801 the first insulin capsule to enter Phase 3 trials in the U.S. under an FDA approved protocol. We look forward to sharing recruitment numbers later in Q1 2021 and plan to provide updates as we reach enrollment milestones.- Efficacy data from the trials will become available after patients have completed the first 6 months of treatment. Safety will be further monitored as patients will be exposed to the drug over an additional 6 months. The trial's topline results are expected in 2022. Oral Insulin: NASH Phase 2 Initiated We are enrolling patients in our global Phase 2 nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) study which was initiated in December 2020 when the first patients were screened in the U.S. Additional clinical sites in Europe and Israel are expected to begin recruitment later in Q1 2021. The trial will measure efficacy endpoints via MRI- derived proton density fat fraction (MRI-PDFF) for 12 weeks, as well as percent change in liver fibrosis and liver steatosis. We anticipate completing this NASH study in 2021. Data from our pilot study of ORMD-0801 in diabetic patients with NASH showed impressive results, including a 30% relative reduction in fatty liver content, as measured by MRI-PDFF. Gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT), a key marker of chronic hepatitis, and fasting insulin levels were both significantly lower after 12 weeks of treatment as compared to baseline. The study found ORMD-0801 was safe and well tolerated in this patient population. Oral GLP-1 and Leptin: Additional Studies Expected in 2021 This year we anticipate initiating a bioavailability study for ORMD-0901, our oral glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analog capsule, in T2D patients. A prior Phase 1 pharmacokinetic (PK) study showed ORMD-0901, in healthy volunteers, preserved the biological activity of orally delivered GLP-1 and curbed blood sugar excursions following glucose challenge. An effective GLP-1 analog, in addition to decreasing blood glucose levels, can also reduce HbA1c, preserve beta cell function, and promote weight loss. In 2020, we conducted an exploratory oral leptin trial to evaluate glucagon reduction in type 1 diabetes (T1D). Leptin is a protein that regulates hunger and is of interest to us as a potential addition to our clinical development platform. The proof-of-concept study evaluated the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics of our oral leptin drug candidate in adult T1D patients and showed that patients who received leptin, on average, had a decrease in glucose as compared to the placebo group during the first 30-180 minutes following dosing. We anticipate initiating a larger double-blind, placebo-controlled study for our oral leptin capsule later this year. I am pleased to confirm that we entered 2021 with a strong balance sheet and solid financial position which allows us to move forward on all fronts. From this position of strength, we are holding discussions with potential partners and collaborators across the globe. All of us at Oramed wish you and yours good health. Sincerely, Nadav Kidron Chief Executive Officer

Look at how thorough and detailed this report about ORA is compared to the report on SOS Friday. It's almost as if some entity pushed them to publish something on SOS, and they immediately released this to distract from it. This report looks to be a bit more solid.
