I am holding it for the long term, although given the recent massive insider buy from SR One, the short term seems very enticing too. Wait out biotech until phase 3 success or approval and there will be no upside. By the time phase 3 starts, they are usually sufficiently de-risked. Phase 2 is where the most gains are usually made. As for semaglutide beating it to market and eating its lunch in CVD: No study has shown semaglutide reduces CVD risk in non-diabetics or people with normal BMI (not obese). And based on how it works, it wouldn’t reduce CVD risk in those populations anywhere near mainstay treatments. It would be complimentary to a subset of the patient population at best. The reason why it reduces CVD risk in diabetics and obese individuals is mainly because it treats diabetes and obesity, meaning diabetes and obesity themselves are risk factors for CVD. The genes CRSP’s CVD pipeline targets are among the most genetically validated targets in CVD. Lp(a) is high in 20% of the population, and is worse than LDL-C and there is not treatment for it on the market. Its gene is known, and it has been almost eliminated in studies and CRSP’s own trial. Same with ANGPTL3 for LDL and TG and AGT for hypertension. These are all proven endpoints for clinical trials in CVD. Noncompliance is a huge issues in medicine in general, especially CVD patient population. Semaglutide and the like are extremely overblown by the media and celebrity doctors. They’re not a magical drug. They’re just more obese people than lay people realized. What is CRSP is targeting is proven. The effect they will have on the risk of CVD is proven. That’s why they are validates clinical endpoints. Proven, in biology, means a lot. Not many others can claim that. Why? Because these genes are known based on loss of function mutations in humans to have these effects. So, in a sense, the clinical trial has already been done. What’s actually being tested is the toxicity and gene delivery modality. And the initial toxicity data that just came out looks great. And the gene editing platform, using crispr instead of prime editing or newer modalities like its competitors is a better strategy because it has a much longer track record, we know more about it, and the off target effects based on studies is so minimal that even if you used other modalities it wouldn’t make a difference and would come with much more significant trade offs.

Risk is not volatility. Risk is understanding what you know, why it’s mispriced, and the potential for value creation. Value creation is never precise. Never be in a hurry to buy. Buy to get skin in the game. Reverse course if the thesis isn’t playing out. But if the thesis is strong and the price gets better, buy more. Have target allocations. You don’t want to be over extended. The right position size is wanting more. Let your winners win. A winning position is not your position size risk, your cost basis is. I’m perfectly content with a position growing to 50% or more of my portfolio. Let it win. I’m currently 25% in cash. Cash is strategically important. It’s not dead weight. Have cash on hand to buy when your stock ideas go on sale. Be happy when your favorite stocks falls, not sad. Again, know what you own. Never use margin to get over extended. (I do use margin from time to time to manage options. I use options to get a better price — selling puts — or to be more aggressive when I see opportunity. I don't think that the market is trying to tell you anything. The prices you noted are quite normal for options with those strikes and TG's average IV. You are also assuming that people are only buying the $12.50 calls because they're expecting a moonshot. Perhaps. But perhaps that strike is being used to catastrophically hedge a short equity position? Or perhaps it's to hedge a nearer to the money option position? Note that apart from hedging, a cheap strike like this could reduce the margin required for a another option position, especially with portfolio margin. When you see large trades in one strike, check to see if there are other strikes with the same volume (spreads, straddles, strangles, etc.).

Discipline is key. Being rational is nice but keeping yourself that way is what is key. So, be aware you cant ever time the market so be happy with simply money made. For that, I like selling covered calls as it keeps me disciplined into selling at X price I would be willing to sell while getting paid for it. One stock I own is $TG which is going up lately and expect it to increase 10-20% in the next month. I am already capping my profit with covered calls.

I mean honestly if you dropped into KENDU's TG at the recent market bottom (\~16m marketcap) the community was working harder than ever and the vibe was unfailingly positive. We have SHIB community leaders like StaySeaArt in the chat, coordinating murals as mentioned in OP's post, and if you go into cabal-selected tokens' TGs which are in the hundreds of millions mc, you don't see anywhere close to that coordination or positive vibe. Just a lot of buybots and one-word chats and spamming GIFs in their TGs. KENDU has the secret sauce: community. Without it, deca billions simply isn't possible! We will get there.

The "best" options are never known until we look in hindsight haha. You have $240k in BITF? That's some cajones I don't have.. haha But I do own BTBT, and for small cap stocks like that trading as low as they are, I don't even bother selling calls. They can explode up at any moment. I'd rather just hold and hope that the 10x happens when we least expect it. Honestly earning $800 in 3.5 days of trading (TG is holiday and BF is half day) on a $30,000 position is amazing already. So I definitely wouldn't blame anyone for going with that trade instead.
