The real reason he is "wrong" is that is disses the sacred cow, BTC. I coincidentally think he is mostly right: because, IMO the COW died half a decade ago. No it's NOT standard operating procedure for every exchange. I've traded on exchanges for 7 years. I've traded on probably 25 exchanges. Wholey COW!!!! WHAT are you TALKING ABOUT??? Making profit off of the spread is true of trading platforms like Robinhood. But it's not true of most crypto exchanges. They make plenty of money off of theif 0.1% to 0.5% trading fees.
