No bro, my losses in 2018 were because I pumped my gains into bunch of shitcoins that aren't even listed on coinmarketcap anymore :D I wish I had some but can't even access the account it was on, and even if I could I couldn't sell them anywhere anymore so yea. Learned my lesion tho, thats why I am saying to people either cash out on time or you gonna regret it down the line thinking it will go to "moon". I remember a lousy 300$ turning to almost 9000$ on DCN coin when it reached 1 cent on HITBTC. SALT lending too, was about 5$ then its 20c now. Just cash out your gains and don't be stupid like me. No ride lasts forever. I am not pissed because most of that money I haven't earned, me and friend made a tutorial for XEM faucet when it was giving away 10000 XEM for assistance, it was worth around 10c at the time. So both me and friend got 5k. We watched it skyrocket to almost 2$ in like 2 weeks, we both cashed out and bought shitload of other currencies that almost all later tanked because we didn't cash out during the pumps. So basically I didn't lose any "invested" money, but I lost a shit ton of money. If I held it in XEM it would be worth maybe couple hundred bucks because XEM today is like 16c. We got it around 10c, so I wouldn't really make myself rich by holding it, even tho it was a promising project back then. Always cash out your gains and leave some on the side. At least I know for this run, but unfortunately didn't have money last year to put due to corona fucking me out of my job so I wen't in... on May of this year xD call me the king of bad timing I swear xD
GALA run tonight was insane, think there is like 7 billion of them and I saw binance gonna pump it hard but I didn't expect a fucking jump from 0.044 to 0.145 like dafuq, I sold at 0.125 so yea, sometimes it can work good but those projects are usually pumps and dumps or just stallers. One of best examples I can think of is DCN which has circulating supply of 550b and totally supply of like 1 trillion or smth, I remember in 2018 friend invested in it on HITBTC and it got to almost 1 cent from fractions of a cent, I remember he put like 100$ on it and it went to over 10k$ and he didn't wanna sell because he thought its gonna keep that way and its worth jack shit ever since lol xD yea those coins are like... begging to get your money lost if you don't cash out unfortunately, even the ones in top 100-200 are way too slow on price movement and just stagnate or even worse they pump up once and then dump so hard to never recover then you live in constant regret of not getting rid of it lol. Personally I only look at projects with bellow 1b market cap.

I'm already inside, in fact I plan to continue buying, because I think it is super undervalued and that it will be very big, but it is always good to know the opinion of people who are more fully dedicated to the world of cryptocurrencies ! Unrelated, can someone with enough comment karma post this for me please and tag me so I can see the comments. Made a post and bot removed it so I can’t bother retyping my entire thoughts and questions. Basically I stumbled upon dentacoin DCN a few weeks ago and it’s use case tho niche doesn’t seem too bad. I’m aware there was some pump/dump in 2017. My question to you guys are as follows; 1. Is DCN salvageable at this point 2. If yes, what could be done to get it up to par 3. No? Why ? Any other thought is appreciated, I’ll be looking forward to them.
Agreed. Sia is technologically superior in every way to Filecoin. Many competitor projects are scrambling to even fulfill ICO promises of a decentralized storage network, while Sia already has said storage network an a CDN serving data to users. Prime example is OPCT - no storage technology to offer except a friendly front end, currently piggybacking AWS network running a chain to mint a token to pay for AWS storage - claiming pipedreams of a future storage network which Sia has already realized.. of course people flock to it because its speculative, meaning there is nothing existing. Projects like this gaining more traction than Sia is just baffling to me. We do not need any more storage projects in 2021 lol. Sia even have a layer 2 DCN/CDNSkynet serving data to users (Decentralized internet) which is a colossal undertaking in it's own right. There are already instagram/twitter clones and apps/pages being developed every day. Sia will gain it's value through real world use/contracts and developers plugging away on the platform, if said developers create something of merit within the SkyNet ecosphere, Sia/Skynet as a whole will benefit similar to Ethereum with De-Fi projects.
Not to come off condescending or harsh but if this is your takeaway concern regarding Theta’s network then you’ve been misguided in your research and/or do not fundamentally understand what they are trying to do. Theta.tv simply demonstrates proof of concept for their DCN cost reduction for streaming providers or content providers in general—it is commonly misinterpreted as a streaming platform in and of itself. If adopted, they will help solve the problem of bandwidth limitations of the current infrastructure to streaming platforms like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, etc. using their patented P2P protocol.

Yeah, ok, but you're shooting yourself in the foot though by setting this initial condition. People might have great projects to share, with tiny marketcaps, but they'd be excluded, while other higher marketcaps would get included. Simple example. You got DCN at $0.00004626 and YFDai at $6000 . Now, lets assume both projects will achieve pretty much the same end growth and end up ranked #100 and #101 respectively. which one is 'cheaper' to buy today? buying $1000 worth of DCN will make you feel like a baller cuz you got like 30 million coins. Might feel silly only buying 0.15 YFDAI with the same money. But fast forward to the end state, rank #100 and your DCN investment will be worth $22k and the YFDAI one will be $30k. That's why price is irrelevant and you should not care about it.

Just invest in solid projects, not ones that have no vision and don't need a blockchain. We already had our own crash in 2017. One coins that comes to mind is DCN. In January of 2018, it had a market cap of $2.3 billion. Now it's $11 million, a 99.5% loss.

I stand corrected. I was referring to DCN which is Dentacoin and my reasoning for that is I just don't see an exact need for the use case they're looking to cover. I haven't done any research on District 0x to give you an answer unfortunately. Glad that you came out on top though!
