I always think we should have more details about these movements Is there anything known about the whale? It's not MSR? Sure it's not an exchange?

In crypto terms, yes they're down crazy. But they're making money from selling MSR shares and they've been really good for them. They're in good profits in those terms.

Yes, the warning has come up for the first time now, but it definitely was the official MetaMask-wallet. There is a similar report on their forum, just look up "Trojan:JS/Phish!MSR Metamask"

Yep. I wonder if other companies get nervous about this and FOMO in. To not be left out with Saylor/MSR becoming so rich and powerful. Imagine Saylor on the news wearing a gold tracksuit in a gold house and Microstrategy acquiring a control in every competitor.

I would specifically recommend [the Jack Mallers episode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF0v2MSR0tU) of What Bitcoin Did. I find the lightning network is easier for people to digest than the sound money case for BTC. The idea that a currency you've been using your entire life is broken is pretty jarring for most people and takes many hours to wrap their head around. Most people can immediately see the value of Lightning Network after just an hour of listening to this podcast. Once they're sold on LN, then they can go all the way down the rabbit hole.

My personal favorite is: [What Bitcoin Did - Orange Pilling the IMF (with Jack Mallers)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF0v2MSR0tU) I believe Jack Mallers is destined to be one of the great entrepreneurs of our generation.

Well it also could be the case Crypto has over-corrected. And prices usually build in bad news so we could already be "in" what we're expecting to be in. I mean if it goes too low -say BTC at $10K. Its starts getting to the point where people are going to be able to buy whole coins on their own. And when you factor in that 1. There's only ever going to be 21 mil coins and 2. There's been a hell of a lot of corporate (and yes countries) buying and when you think comp like MSR and Tesla have bough a hell of a lot of coins at a higher price, It can only go down so far based on those willing to unload their bags. Unless there's evidence of whales abandoning their coins but there's no evidence of that.

I find it's easier to start with lightning network or human rights when introducing newbs to BTC and addressing the sound money aspect after you've already got some buy-in. It's tough for newbs to wrap their heads around or accept a possible fiat collapse. It's difficult to persuade people to believe something they *don't want to believe* even if it's the truth. On the other hand, anyone with business sense can appreciate the potential for the lightning network to reduce transaction fees to nearly zero. It's a massive leap forward over Visa's 3% fee and an even bigger upgrade over Western Union. [This podcast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF0v2MSR0tU) is a good jumping off point for LN. For those who are more "people oriented" than business oriented, the human rights angle can be a better jumping off point. Alex Gladstein has written many articles detailing how bitcoin has become a lifeline in EM countries. [The Afghanistan story](https://bitcoinmagazine.com/culture/bitcoin-financial-freedom-in-afghanistan) really resonated with my mother and her friends.

Jack Mallers talking about Strike and the Layer 2 Lightning Network: Orange Pilling Facebook, even making them kill the Diem-project. How Bitcoin LN is inevitable and people wont even notice they're using Bitcoin/don't even need to know what it is. At that point, why use PoW at all? The whole point is that it's supposed to be more secure, but then you want everything done off chain where it's less secure? Just use nano at that point. Also counting on enormous improvements in energy infrastructure and immediate, global adoption of those improvements is completely unhinged to say the least. We can't even get ITER running, and it's been decades. MSR's have been known as a viable solution for 40 years, and are still more or less non-existent. You think in 20 years we're all going to be running on fusion? We would be lucky to even get a test plant completed by then. I'm all for adopting new nuclear technology, but you have no idea what you're talking about.

You need a decent CPU, yes. With a fairly modern CPU the real bottle neck is RAM. If you don’t have enough RAM, it isn’t fast enough, or you’re not using MSR correctly then the profitability won’t be there. AMD chips are doing quite well, but you still won’t be seeing huge gains. The thinking is that you might only make $80 a month but in a couple years that might be $800.

imo DAG-based coins have the potential for way bigger traffic than normal blockchain ones... so IOTA (maybe even a different classification for it?), NANO, MSR, DERO (these ones I know use some form of a DAG, also the last 2 ones are fungible so even better)

BTC, ETH, XMR make 90% of my portfolio. XLM, LINK, SOL, NANO, MSR and XTZ is the rest. I like Monero the most. It's what Bitcoin should have been.
