Made a killing the past few weeks long GDXU with DUST calls, the calls are literal dust now, but I've sold far beyond their cost in GDXU shares, all realized gains, if gold reverses all the better, I still have the DUST calls, now almost worthless. I also do it with SPXS calls / SPYU shares, careful not to let any run too long without taking profits to avoid vol decay.
Most pundits are saying that gold will probably top out at \~$3300 for the year. I'm doing some risky shit playing GDXY, a high yield ETF with DUST, a miner's short as a hedge, but it's been paying off about a 30% net dividend yield.

When silver and the mining stocks have multiple unfilled open gaps. At least 5. Then we do nothing and wait for a big pull back then accumulated again. . Or sell a fraction and use that to buy shares of 2x bear mining etf DUST. If the DUST pays then use those proceeds to buy the dip and hold to maturity Dec 2026 is so far away. We may have 3 up waves and 2 down waves at least between now and then. I'm going to try and not trade it I'm going to try and white knuckle hold through all the volatility.

Long term they are not a dead end, but it is going to be many many years before these are good for many reasons and none have to do with self-driving tech. 1) Volume on road, the amount of a fleet you would need to make these viable would also kill any and all traffic in cities. This only works on travel exteriors or cities/towns....but then why not just use a train? 2) Charging/idle points, you are going to need many parkinglots solely built for these robotaxis to both idle and charge when not in use. This is also problematic if you need many of them so they don't waste time driving across the city and then coming back to recharge (no fare on way back and damage over time to car). No you are not going to be allowed to idle them on streets/public parking, this will get axed if you even tried really quickly. 3) You think people road raging at other people is bad? Wait till you see what happens when self driving cars get thrown in the mix, any normal interaction that a driver can make to move through, is multiplied by many more seconds with AI, especially at anything remotely busy/crosswalks. One AI car, fine w/e, many? GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY, PULL IN TO TURN STOP WAITING AGES FOR DUST TO MOVE HOLY SHIT. 4) Anti-Ai Activists will shut them down so fast because the AI self driving can't run into anything construction/pilon related or people. You can put paper over sensors, throw a sheet, put a cone on the hood ect... unless you plan on having private security follow ever self driving car, people are going to be dicks and those dicks are going to make it so government says get them off the roads. In general, there isn't enough space for any city to actually host a robotaxi service without gridlocking the entire city. It was already bad/worse when Lyft and Uber joined in the mix, but adding Robo ontop will cause issues.
