I'm up over 60%. Shorted oil /CL, went long /CL gold, shorted /ES before "liberation day"(lol), sold SPX puts shortly after liberation day to collect theta once risk was priced in but while liquidity was growing. Now I sit in MUNI bonds with an /ZN short to hedge DV01 risk. Also long 40% of portfolio as Gold. Gold currently has once again become uncorrelated to stocks - meaning that if your afraid of inflation, it may be safer as a hedge again. Ofc that can change. Equity risk premium is negative by -.6% which is really bad. Liquidity was contracting, but fed pivot might change that. My custom mini Bloomberg dashboard shows 7 bullish, 7 bearish, 2 neutral signals. Id rather enjoy tax free dividends while I keep my risk exposure lower until a cleaner signal comes out.

What differentiates them compared to DV360 and Amazon is their independence. How much of a differentiator this is is something I’m trying to figure out. If you don’t want to work with a walled garden like Google and Amazon, then TTD is THE platform. It is so hard for new entrants to come in here because they would need a large data advantage. Amazon did it but they are literally only one of the few companies who could.

Everyone mentioning Amazon DSP but Google’s DV360 has mostly caught up to them as well in terms of technology and DV doesn’t nickel and dime you for every add on you want to use. They have no moat and I expect will continue to hemorrhage customers. No one likes Kokai and that was a huge mistake. The CEO doesn’t seem to understand their customers. Appreciate the encouragement, any bit helps right now. And yea, at times I feel like my lawyer's a big help and doing everything they can, but at other times, you're right, feels like I need a different one and I question if they're almost working for her lol. But... at this point, I'm kinda stuck. Can't afford to change now, and it's not like I picked a scrub or public defender. Not a super expensive high profile, either, but this lawyer came highly recommended by a coworker that used to work for the state's bar association, and she was a former prosecutor, now criminal defense attorney, and her husband happens to do family law, so it happened to work out perfectly where she handled the criminal case, and then once the divorce was filed, they were both able to take on that, while already having all the details of everything... so, it seemed like a good fit. The problem, really, is mostly in the way she did everything. It just made a huge mess of it all (in a way that made it, legally, a huge mess for me and nearly impossible to navigate), and it didn't help that her stepdad worked for the state his entire career and knows everybody (even though he was a lowlevel pencil-pusher, that, unfortunately, can be enough). So, when I hear from the lawyer that she and him were constantly calling and nagging the DA, calling for my head, and that's apprently half the reason they're going after me so hard... kind of messed up and sounds... illegal (?), but, it's what's happening. Now add in that, because of the divorce filing, assets are all frozen so I can't even tap into any of my money really, and it complicates things even more. And then to make matters worse, the one saving grace I *thought* I had - the fact that all my crypto was easily provable as premarital, in a short-term marriage, so I figure I at least have that to start over with - and then my lawyer tells me "yea, probably not, she'll most likely get a large portion of that, too, up to half." So... she's gonna get half the house (that I paid for), and now apparently half of all the assets despite them all being premarital, leaving me with no opportunity really to even start over. And then, with the DV on my record, I likely lose my career, so, I'll be making even worse money, which all goes to her, now, anyway. I'm trying so hard to stay positive and keep fighting, but it just feels like she took everything from me with one single lie. Not just my material possessions, but our son, my reputation, my career/future earning ability, any ability to start over, everything I'd worked for my entire adult life, and basically all future opportunities (career/financial, and personal, whether relationship w/ family/son, or even romantic and/or ability to start a new family, because who the hell wants to date a guy that's flagged as a violent criminal). Craziest part is I still love and miss her and just want to be able to talk to her and try to work things out, but I know that isn't happening. Why would it, when she can just take everything from me instead? Sorry... I'm off again lol.

Yes When you look at the actual numbers in practice, just being an index investor and pulling out money as needed looks extremely similar to being a "dividend" investor. Linked is a backtest of SCHD (whose dividend yield is 3.4%) vs VOO but you sell 3.4% of your position each year and pretend its a dividend like with SCHD. Youll see the index investor is winning in almost all time frames and is winning by a lot right now. As a rule of thumb, stick to larger projects when you start out that have larger mcaps in the $100M+ range - this is because they often have more stable trading volume - better liquidity, and more price action. Too small and you risk not having any bids and struggling to sell. I'd also recommend programs that have more capital raising ability to pursue larger scale drill programs = lots of drill results and better understanding of the resource. I also recommend looking for projects that are near term or actively producing. A few tickers I recommend to check out are **GOLD:** LUCA.v, WRLG.v **SILVER:** DV.v, OCG.v

I didn’t read most of this but I did notice that you cited derivatives notional as a risk metric of concern. Notional of derivatives is not a good barometer of risk. The majority of notional in derivatives stats often cited are vanilla rate swaps which have tiny risk profiles relative to their actual risk. Great job on the returns. I just started trading a few months ago and am doing something similar with the majority of my portfolio. Basically buying big dips after they settle a bit. I got SBUX at $75, CVS at $55, BA at $167.17, DLO at $9.62 and DV at $18.92. My question is what's your exit strategy? Are you holding long term or selling off after a profit? Right now mine just feels like I'm going off my gut. SBUX and CVS I don't want to hold past their next earnings and will probably sell at +10-15%. DLO and DV seem riskier so I'd be happy with +5%. BA tempts me. I could hold and wait out the news or sell and buy with the dips.

Digging to DoubleVerify a little bit since its down -37% AH which seems worth looking into, quarterly growth came in at 15%. Still calling out connected tv and social as their fastest growing segments. Full year guide reduced to 17% at the midpoint down from analyst expectations of more like 23%. So basically a very serious de-acceleration from a business that did 27-36% annually for the period of 2019-2023. Volumes were up but pricing was down, so if I had to just guess as to why it got hit so hard its basically that the business moat isnt holding up against pricing wars from competition like IAS which has called out pricing pressure previously, but DV management had said they were not seeing it iirc. This specific business is very much outside my circle of competence and I already have way to much advertising exposure, but still interesting to keep an eye on.
