So if the DV01 of the 10-year Treasury does come out to exactly $0.08, then you will be slightly over-hedged or slightly under-hedged w/ my example above (e.g. buying $12,000 notional -> over-hedged, $13,000 -> under-hedged)

if the DV01 of your treasury position matches the 10Y contract (0.1 bp move = $1), then your P/L theoretically shouldn't change at all 10-year bonds tend to have a DV01 of \~$0.08 per $100 notional per bp so you would need about $12,000 worth of treasuries to have a clean hedge with a single /10Y contract, and you will need to set aside some cash to deal with daily P/L settlements on futures

Read up on DSPs and programmatic advertising. google can absolutely reach banner/display placements and a whole lot more through DV360 - thats the entire point. i work in this space. its entirely dependent on what the objective and goal of the brand, you have entire teams who are monitoring performance and optimizing in and out of poor performing creatives, audiences, placements, etc, not to mention AI optimizations. Whether an efficiency is profitable or good/bad is entirely dependent on what the brand is selling, what their objective is, how much the value a potential lifetime or repeat customer (this is all modeled out and has dollar values against it) etc. You have data scientists running incredibly sophisticated models to determine if spend on advertising through various channels is profitable - i promise you it is.

I am a big movie guy, blu ray remuxes and stuff, so DV / Atmos is king vs HDR10/DTSX. HDR10 is considered fallback against DV in modern media for a reason.

Intuitive surgical had a very long run and now has plateaued for a long while, there is concern of other robots coming in the market. but I think people not directly in the medical field really underestimate the insane degree of market dominance they have. Their new version DV-5 comes with insanely good features like overlying 3D imaging on the actual tissues, automatic video recording of all surgeries done by everybody (for AI training purposes of course) and the ability of surgeons from multiple hospitals to consult each other during live surgeries. Their vessel sealers, 8 mm staplers, etc are a ste above everything available. New generation of surgical residency grads are more trained more robotically than laparoscopic for any advanced minimally invasive surgery and we are seeing a new generation that demands robots for everything, I couldn't believe how fast the transition is happening but within the next 10-20 years almost all ORs doing abdominal and thoracic work will be Davinci based.

I'm up over 60%. Shorted oil /CL, went long /CL gold, shorted /ES before "liberation day"(lol), sold SPX puts shortly after liberation day to collect theta once risk was priced in but while liquidity was growing. Now I sit in MUNI bonds with an /ZN short to hedge DV01 risk. Also long 40% of portfolio as Gold. Gold currently has once again become uncorrelated to stocks - meaning that if your afraid of inflation, it may be safer as a hedge again. Ofc that can change. Equity risk premium is negative by -.6% which is really bad. Liquidity was contracting, but fed pivot might change that. My custom mini Bloomberg dashboard shows 7 bullish, 7 bearish, 2 neutral signals. Id rather enjoy tax free dividends while I keep my risk exposure lower until a cleaner signal comes out.

What differentiates them compared to DV360 and Amazon is their independence. How much of a differentiator this is is something I’m trying to figure out. If you don’t want to work with a walled garden like Google and Amazon, then TTD is THE platform. It is so hard for new entrants to come in here because they would need a large data advantage. Amazon did it but they are literally only one of the few companies who could.

And yea, at times I feel like my lawyer's a big help and doing everything they can, but at other times, you're right, feels like I need a different one and I question if they're almost working for her lol. But... at this point, I'm kinda stuck. Can't afford to change now, and it's not like I picked a scrub or public defender. Not a super expensive high profile, either, but this lawyer came highly recommended by a coworker that used to work for the state's bar association, and she was a former prosecutor, now criminal defense attorney, and her husband happens to do family law, so it happened to work out perfectly where she handled the criminal case, and then once the divorce was filed, they were both able to take on that, while already having all the details of everything... so, it seemed like a good fit. The problem, really, is mostly in the way she did everything. It just made a huge mess of it all (in a way that made it, legally, a huge mess for me and nearly impossible to navigate), and it didn't help that her stepdad worked for the state his entire career and knows everybody (even though he was a lowlevel pencil-pusher, that, unfortunately, can be enough). So, when I hear from the lawyer that she and him were constantly calling and nagging the DA, calling for my head, and that's apprently half the reason they're going after me so hard... kind of messed up and sounds... illegal (?), but, it's what's happening. Now add in that, because of the divorce filing, assets are all frozen so I can't even tap into any of my money really, and it complicates things even more. And then to make matters worse, the one saving grace I *thought* I had - the fact that all my crypto was easily provable as premarital, in a short-term marriage, so I figure I at least have that to start over with - and then my lawyer tells me "yea, probably not, she'll most likely get a large portion of that, too, up to half." So... she's gonna get half the house (that I paid for), and now apparently half of all the assets despite them all being premarital, leaving me with no opportunity really to even start over. And then, with the DV on my record, I likely lose my career, so, I'll be making even worse money, which all goes to her, now, anyway. I'm trying so hard to stay positive and keep fighting, but it just feels like she took everything from me with one single lie. Not just my material possessions, but our son, my reputation, my career/future earning ability, any ability to start over, everything I'd worked for my entire adult life, and basically all future opportunities (career/financial, and personal, whether relationship w/ family/son, or even romantic and/or ability to start a new family, because who the hell wants to date a guy that's flagged as a violent criminal). Craziest part is I still love and miss her and just want to be able to talk to her and try to work things out, but I know that isn't happening. Why would it, when she can just take everything from me instead? Sorry... I'm off again lol.

I have severely limited my contact with her, morons, and the general public. That said, the divisiveness is part of the tactic. The same way DV abusers isolate from family, they are relying on your repulsion and their shame to further cut them off. As a rule of thumb, stick to larger projects when you start out that have larger mcaps in the $100M+ range - this is because they often have more stable trading volume - better liquidity, and more price action. Too small and you risk not having any bids and struggling to sell. I'd also recommend programs that have more capital raising ability to pursue larger scale drill programs = lots of drill results and better understanding of the resource. I didn’t read most of this but I did notice that you cited derivatives notional as a risk metric of concern. Notional of derivatives is not a good barometer of risk. The majority of notional in derivatives stats often cited are vanilla rate swaps which have tiny risk profiles relative to their actual risk. Notional is misleading because the amount of risk inherent is highly dependent on duration. The appropriate stick of risk in rate swaps is DV01 but that’s never mentioned because sheep that read this shit are happy to lap up whatever nonsense the media (fucking morons) feeds them.
