This entire sub spent nearly a year downvoting me as I was saying CDE is a no-brainer. HL and NEM too, but CDE I truly went 'all-in' on. Held through the October bust and am holding to $75+, particularly with the New Gold acquisition. It is STILL a no-brainer. Gold and silver are just warming up.

How do you have so much money taking such a stupid decisions? Here, free financial advice, today sell these two shitcoins, buy some $CDE $NEM and $AG slightly out of money (10-20% higher than the current stock price) January 2027 calls and forget about them. Hold them at least until December without paper handing like a fool. Those companies are extremely undervalued at current gold and silver prices and will at least double in price, maybe even do a 5X. AYA is >90% silver, debt free, only available on the Toronto stock exchange but coming to the Nasdaq in April. One of the few pure silver players. Also is sitting on a gigantic gold reserve, one of the largest and highest grade in the world, called Boumadine, which is not priced at all in the stock. The TSE listing is probably dragging them down but they have options in CAD on IBKR. Prime target for an acquisition by larger companies with all the billions in cash the whole sector printing. gdx been doing me good. my last buy was this tho About NEM Newmont Corporation engages in the production and exploration of gold properties. It also explores for copper, silver, zinc, lead, and other metals. The company has operations and/or assets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Peru, Suriname, Argentina, Chile, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Ecuador, Fiji, and Ghana, and internationally. Newmont Corporation was founded in 1916 and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

Mentions:#NEM

This is why I bought into NEM. In addition to their gold and silver mines and holdings, they also hold 13.5 million tons of copper reserves and average 330-340 million pounds of Cu production per year. They also have 530 million oz of Ag reserves and a further 134-135 million oz of Au reserves, both not counting their annual production of each. They also have these reserves diversified over North America, South America, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Ghana, so hits to the US market are less likely to have severe impacts. They also have significant reserves in Lead, Zinc, Molybdenum, and just expanded into Tungsten last year.

I have made a few non-standard plays. the past year was the best to me. I'm a momentum trader that lets the wind carry my portfolio in the right direction. Biggest winners of 2025 for me personally were OKLO, CDE, NEM, HL, GOOGL and LTBR. Emphasis on OKLO and LTBR, who trade nearly tick for tick, and the premiums on both for options plays have been juicy for months. I ran the wheel a lot last year, but kept getting shares snatched away so quit with the covered calls... dumb in a bull run with a winner. I'm incredibly bullish on LTBR in particular, but they trade in this fascinating channel that allows tons of money to be made and the options are nice. My rotation now is to capitalize on the remainder of this metals run for however long it lasts, then take profit and average down with the house's money, and then rotate heavily into copper (RIO), coal for the energy transition while nuclear ramps up (BTU) and various infrastructure / industrial plays like CAT and ROK. Good luck to you.

At 23, the most important thing isn’t picking the “perfect” lineup, it’s maxing the Roth early and staying invested. A few thoughts on what you have now: * QQQM is a solid growth core for a Roth. * NVDA is fine as a small satellite position, but you don’t need to force single stocks this early. * SCHD is okay, but dividends aren’t as critical at your age since growth compounds better in a tax-free account. * BLOX is higher risk and thematic. keep it small if you keep it at all. * NEM doesn’t really add much diversification inside a Roth unless you have a strong gold thesis. If you want to simplify, a lot of people your age just run something like VOO or VTI and QQQM, then maybe a small tilt to dividends or themes later. You can always add income-focused ETFs as you get closer to needing cash flow. Also, don’t get pulled into flashy “this one stock will change your life” narratives. People ask “is Banyan Hill Publishing legitimate?” for a reason. Slow, boring, tax-free compounding usually wins. If you keep maxing the Roth every year, your allocation matters way less than your consistency.

23 is super young. Biggest edge you’ve got is time tbh, not dividends. Nothing you’re holding is awful but it’s kinda all over the place for a Roth. SCHD sounds nice on paper but at your age it’s not really doing much. Growth matters way more early on. If it was me I’d simplify hard. Big chunk in something broad like VTI or VT. Set it and forget it. QQQM is fine if you want tech exposure. Fractional NVDA is whatever, just don’t let single stocks take over. BLOX and NEM feel more like play money. Fine to keep a bit but I wouldn’t build a retirement account around that stuff. Dividends can wait. You’ve got decades. Maxing the Roth every year matters way more than perfect picks anyway.

yes, it's wild. Long overdue though. There are going to be some bumps in the road, but gold will hit $5K and continue to climb and silver will go over $100/oz and eventually settle there. Keep in mind there are TONS of opportunities right now as the miners like CDE, NEM, HL and others earnings lag the metals rips. We are going to see some blow off tops for miners as FCF increases dramatically. Combine it with low oil prices and your AISC for mining are insane. Miners, WSB and the normal community is finally realizing PMs (Already well positioned last year) this means they will soon discover miners are leveraged options without decay. Runingn a screener for the top performers of GDXJ, I am also buying a lot of SA Seabridge holds one of the largest undeveloped gold-copper projects in the world, KSM in British Columbia. Every bit of news and senitiment and pessimism was written back at 1700 gold and disregarded the copper, at these prices, it's a... well its a gold mine. But really, don't give a fuck about whats in the ground, it's small enough retail flow can actually move it, unlike gold which is a meme stock for the bank of China and Poland, folks are going to screen leveraged silver/gold/copper exposure and be greedy for the ones with the best returns. B and NEM will maintain leveraged fundamentals while the stories for SA write pretty insane undervalued stories driving momentum.

Biggest gains were from precious metal etfs, NEM, RKLB, GOOGL (bought after April dip, still undervalued imo), VEU, defense etfs (EUAD, KDEF), RNMBY (bought early in year and sold in the summer), and COF. Also swing traded LULU for solid profit in the fall. Biggest loser this year was NVO but I'm bullish on it in the medium term

A couple caveats: - These days I try to have conviction on a macro thesis, but remain flexible on the holding; I've lost money in the past when I was "certain" a company was undervalued (ex. I was way too early on Intel). - I'm currently in the process of rebalancing and planning for next year. My portfolio might change significantly between now and end of 1Q26 But to share a bit of what I have: - My miners are currently NEM, HL, CDE. These have been rocket ships for me this year, so I've been taking profits in my tax advantaged accounts, and will likely trim even more once I can take long-term capital gains in my brokerage - I noted below that I think pharma is oversold. I have a large position in PFE (prob holding), and have recently entered MRNA. - Google is my largest tech holding, and I think is the best positioned of the Mag7 to continue to outperform...but I have stop losses set, because I'm concerned about a larger tech pullback. - I shared my banking portfolio in another thread - I need to figure out what to do with Teledyne, TDY. I think they're a well run company, that's well positioned to capitalize on demand for drones, robotics, and industrial sensing/automation at large...but they were a drag on my portfolio in 2025.

They recommended NEM which has indeed risen 77% in the past 6 months
