I hope so. I remember buying 52 calls of NEM and being up like 3x or something on calls. Then it just dumped to a complete loss. Check out oct 24'. I might buy some 80 puts tomorrow didn't even know earnings were coming up. I don't want to but this has to be a bubble right? Right?

As a heads-up to you folks tracking companies like NEM and CDE: Earnings for both soon... 7 and 13 days. AISC have not marginally increased, and yet the value of their product has. Do the math. In fact, the meteoric rise in gold and silver will continue at least through the next two quarters based on accounting practices and closing dates.

I'm holding UAMY CRML UUUU for the next couple years personally. I can only speak for myself but I am bullish. These are very small companies with lots of upside, but be prepared for volatility. If it going down 20% in one day makes you lose sleep I'd sell and go gold miners like AEM and NEM. Much more stable but still tons of upside

I'm also hoping to get back into CDE, best trades I've ever had after I went in big on it at the April bottom and sold in August. Planning on playing next NEM earnings for sure, kinda late on it though. My HL leaps are printing like crazy, best I have right now. I'm transitioning my positions out of metals and only into miners, they have way more to run when things finally turn bearish and people rotate into them. just loaded up on SIL leaps.

I got stopped out of 5,000 shares of CDE in the past week. I'm praying for a small correction so I can buy back in. Loaded up on calls today. Still have 7,500 shares total. Still hold NEM, SIL and was stopped out of HL a few days ago. I'm still long. In fact, after earnings start coming out with these new gold and silver prices shit is going to rocket higher.

top 5 mining tickers to watch: NEM, AEM, GOLD, AU, and KGC. Their earning reports in October are going to be real juicy. If unsure which to pick, GDX and GDXJ should stay ripping

NEM, AEM, GOLD, AU and KGC. I have a close eye and smaller holding in HL as well

NEM, CDE, SIL, HL are what I'm currently holding. NEM is set to double in the next year at this rate. I've been buying CDE since $5.80. Right now, all exposure to gold and silver is going to be good unless you pick the worst mining company in existence. I personally like those I listed for various reasons.

My main focuses in my portfolio has been gold and gold mining like NEM. Then energy related plays that tie into data centers like Bloom Energy recently, and I have Emerson Electric. The latter has been flat the last month or so, but I think it's a very good and stable company. I would like to play nuclear stocks or ETFs, but those are so volatile. Oklo is on a tear, but it has been on past tears just to give up 20-30% of its gains. GEV has been on a tear, but has it peaked or not? I struggle with those stocks.

I keep telling people this and they are not fucking getting it. Normalcy Bias has people very confused. We are literally in the end times. It's an Austrian style Crack Up Boom and people like you and I will become wealthy off of it. I started buying CDE at $5.80. Now own 12,500 shares. NEM, SIL and HL to boot. Rolling in dough. Gold and silver will absolutely moon next year. Good luck.

I've been telling you people that gold and silver was the move for months. MONTHS. I told you to buy into CDE at $5.80. You didn't listen. 99% of you are down on your portfolios, or barely beating the market at best. You still won't listen when I tell you that gold and silver are just beginning to break out. SIL, NEM, CDE, GLD, etc. Stop being a retard.

Hide in $AEM, $NEM and $AG these are solid miners and will continue to do well for years to come

Fold them or hold them? That's always the question isn't it. It's just seems too easy holding losers too long and cutting winners too early... I think IWM would be a better play than SPY for the Sept 17th FED decision; I bet on XHB though, since I think the home builders sector could run the most and I like to target sector indexes - also a rate cut should be good for precious metals; so GLD, SLV, PPLT and PALL seem like more focused bets than SPY. I'm down so much in August though, you'd probably be better off inversing me. Seriously, I'm kind of freaking out about how down I am from August; every time I went long, the market pulled back, and every time I went short the market rallied... I also cut NEM 69c sept 19th calls and GOOG 200c Sept 19th calls that together would be up over $100K if I had held them; would have saved my port big time, instead I'm down on the year as a whole after 1 really bad month (9 months of time spent trading wasted T\_T ). Also, there is always the chance a 0.25% cut would be a sell the news event, and that a 0.5% cut would cause the market to panic. Like I said, I feel like all my plays have been wrong recently, so I'm probably not the one to ask.

r/investingSee Comment

Had the same question recently as I have been holding GDX & SLVP for a while, while NEM was my only individual stock. Two weeks ago I added EGO. Rationale is that all of their balance sheet / income statement metrics still look reasonable, while at the same time their assets are all in safe jurisdictions (Canada, Greece, Turkey). But would love to hear other opinions.

Hi again. I found your Barchart screen parameters in a recent post like you said, and tried my best to replicate them. I'm not sure I got them all right, but I'll play with that more. What I found last night were: NEM, WDC, AVGO, UBER, and OSCR. (TSLA too, but I don't play it, and I think you've said you don't.) Would any of those make your screen right now? I ask because I'm not seeing that great of a ROR from CSPs 2+ weeks out with delta < 0.25. Running the numbers tonight, all 05Sep, 15DTE from tomorrow, at Midpoint: NEM 23-delta: 0.97% --> 1.9% monthly WDC 25-delta: 2.5% monthly UBER 27-delta (cheated a little): 2.5% AVGO 25-delta: 4.3% AVGO's close to the monthly returns you're seeing, and I can see how if you closed it in less than half the time and did it again (maybe), you could be over 5, pushing 6%. You've given enough clues, I just don't feel like I'm hunting in the right berry patch. Would you mind sharing a few of your current picks so I can get an idea of their characteristics? Thanks!

That’s actually a solid approach, bro Starting with a macro idea and then drilling down to find the best vehicle for it that’s how real plays are built. NEM’s a strong pick if you’re betting on dollar weakness. Miners always lag spot prices but when they move, they move hard Props to you for not just apeing into hype plays and actually doing some legwork. Most folks don’t even connect macro trends to individual stocks, they just follow noise Out of curiosity are you looking at other plays tied to dollar weakness Like commodities or foreign equities

I tend to start with an idea and then look for a stock that fits it.  For example I had the thesis that the dollar was in trouble. Therefore own gold or bitcoin. I bought calls and puts on NEM ahead of earnings last week. My puts expired worthless, and my calls were exercised at 250% or more Friday when they killed it to the upside. Am I the only person on earth who remembers and uses basic straddles? This market is almost guaranteed to be volatile, and that’s how I’m trading. Almost every poster to this thread is all-in bullish, or all-in bearish—which means a lot of pigs wanting to be slaughtered.
