Y’all should go check out material stocks. Because of the inflation it’s been going up since last month. For example NEM

KGC - Kinross Gold Corp - seems highly undervalued
Mentions
NEM and B (Barrick) have suffered trailing performance compared to sectoral peers such as AEM and the large South African miners (Anglogold Ashanti and Gold Fields). I think NEM earnings won't be anything spectacular compared to other majors, although they may benefit from a pricing mean reversion tailwind within their sector over the coming months.
NEM I have a spread that is wayyyy in the money. might buy more
100 Shares of GLD, I have held since Spring, I sell covered calls on occasion. CDE (silver mining mostly but gold as well, I trade in and out of it as it swings a lot. Sold quite a bit at 8.9 or so, maybe wish I hadn't. Still hold some, was hoping it would dip and I would buy back in. I will take a look at NEM, Is there a foreign owned mining stock worth taking a look at? It would be nice to benefit two ways from a future spike in gold and drop in the dollar.
I'm balls deep in silver options ATM. But I was considering NEM calls for earnings as well just last week. These will print for sure
KGC, NEM, Barrick and AEM are all great companies that rise well with gold. PZG is a strong penny stock. My entire portfolio is gold miners and that's it. The Government is spending massive amounts of money, gold is going to go up, probably to 4000 by the end of the year and even more next year. We're in the early phase of a bull market. Gold miners still lag behind gold .4%
All of my charts should look like NEM right now. Lets fucking go!
Do you know at all? I can't really find the breakdown of revenue. Again, not an expert, but even looking at their investor slide deck from the CEO presentation: [https://investor.enphase.com/static-files/39a224ad-956f-4142-a95f-9adb6bbb1f1a](https://investor.enphase.com/static-files/39a224ad-956f-4142-a95f-9adb6bbb1f1a) No real mention of Utility in there at all. Even on page 12, this what they call their strategy: "Build best-in-class home energy systems and deliver them to homeowners through our installer distributor partners, enable by comprehensive installer network. I could be way off, but just I always associate them with home solar and not utilities. Their website also only has a section for homeowners and business owners. The only thing I think they do with utilities is meter monitoring. Even their last ER report: [https://investor.enphase.com/static-files/a6108e4f-ce73-4d83-82bf-762ae8f4b341](https://investor.enphase.com/static-files/a6108e4f-ce73-4d83-82bf-762ae8f4b341) The only two mentions there: >Completed IQ® Meter Collar testing with PG&E and four other U.S. utilities >On March 3, 2025, Enphase Energy announced increased deployments of its solution for expanding legacy net energy metering (NEM) solar energy systems in California as utilities streamline their approval process.
Bullish on gold. Love my NEM. Gold and copper. Copper and gold. I think copper's prettier than gold. I don't care if it costs less. Look at it. Why? The currency of course. The debt and that Big Booty Bill about to sit down and break that chair. I mean ceiling. Debt ceiling. And the TLT and the horrors of a 2025 government bond sale. That's why gold But I also been eyeballing BTC. I like that it's a permanent asset approaching it's 21 hard limit. But it acts like NASDAQ not like gold. When will it stop? It has to transition into an asset class and stop identifying as a tech stock sometime right?
Yeah, I've been holding NEM (avg price 38) for several years now. No talent management. They plunged the dividend when they inflated their shares to acquire Newcrest.
Not only Gold, but also stock like $NEM !
I sold SGOV and bought NEM. I didn't try to keep it a secret but nobody cared.
Because 10 year US bond is at 4.587%. Buy Gold and NEM (Newmont is at the same price today it was 6 months ago, when Gold was 500USD less. NEM is undervalued, that is where you make some lost money)
Gold and NEM. NEM is at the same price today that it was 6 months ago, gold is 500USD higher. NEM is underpriced. The bond market is hit, this will disturb the stock market but pushes gold up.
spend a couple of bucks and get yourself some NEM. Will hit 65 in a month, it is too underpriced, was the same price when Gold was 500 dollars less.
you know what is not going to benefit from it? USD and bonds. Who Will benefit? Gold and NEM.
yield on the 10 year US bond is 4.54 or so, gold is the bet when things are really going to shit. NEM is underpriced, it was the same price a year ago, when Gold was 500 dollars less
gold and NEM. Today, tomorrow
so, gold is the game today and NEM
The system is rigged. The gold must be crushing the USD right now and it is barely moving due to the russians selling their reserves to fund the war. NEM (gold stock) is constantly pushed down by the large short positions all while the 10year US bond yields are moving higher and higher towards 5%, making US debt unplayable.
NEM looking like it mightve bottomed
What were the changes? I work with the Australian NEM
just you wait... BRK to buy NEM
Went all gold mining (WPM,NEM,IAG) and cash in January... been holding my own, waiting for the big drop. Lol
Got these $NEM 54cs I'm trying to cash in on.
Poor? I'm over 20% up on GOLD and over 40% up on NEM. I did not buy yesterday.
I lost 3 grand on call options. I expected NEM to report at least $2 EPS. But in fact, they had lower EPS than in Q4.
NEM crushes earnings at goes up 1%. Seems right after what Tesla did yesterday.
Puts on NEM? That was an unbelievably regarded play
NEM nice earnings. And now we wait
!banbet NEM to 55 by 4/25
NEM, LFG! Gold in the ground, baby
Buying NEM option for earnings tonight they are so cheap with this drop in gold. And they will kill it on earnings.
I'm full YOLO on NEM, in case that prints and I don't go full broke tomorrow, I'll go all in with puts on SPY after seeing this
Honestly, the NEM put is on Gold could help, then my last $100 I put into a CWEB call (leveraged 2x China) so hoping to recover something but holding the rest until death. I'm ok with this.
I mean, NEM is up 46% YTD. GLD is +28% in the same time frame. It's not necessarily a dumb trade.
I own both NEM and GOLD. But GOLD's price movements are soooo lazy, practically no leverage compared to gold.
What Exacly does NEM do?
Look into what California did with NEM 3.0. Solar doesn't pencil in the state where it'd make the most sense
I'm guessing you're not in CA, because our state government bent the knee to power companies and solar and batteries don't make any sense as an investment anymore under NEM 3.0. Even 10 years to break even is silly given that's about the lifespan of the batteries
PG&E's 45c/kWh prices and CPUC's NEM-2 made solar pencil out instantly with or without the solar tax credit, which effectively covered the 3% interest cost on my 12 year loan. my panels are producing $400/mo worth of power for a $200/mo payment for 12 years, after which the payback is even better.
I sell GLD and it 🚀.. I hold on to NEM and it stays stagnant
I own NEM, they've been terrible at keeping costs under control. Supposedly they're using profits and asset sale cash to streamline the business but it's been a brutal road and I don't have a lot of faith in the management team. That said, they've got an insane amount of gold and copper and I'm hopeful for a 10% pop on ER.
It definitely dumped after the 2011 bubble. But that felt way more exuberant than this (so far.) There were tons of “cash for your gold” commercials, and “invest in gold in your IRA” ads. Everyday folks were talking gold. I feel like we’re only halfway to that extreme right now. So far central banks have loaded up on gold. Most people I know are acknowledging gold’s run but feeling like they missed it and/or not taking action. Once these folks start really FOMO’ing then I’ll believe we’re closer to a top. I could see gold $3,500 STARTING that process and gold $5,000+ being the blow off top. Another clue: Miners like NEM and GOLD are still way below the prices they had back when gold was half its price.
NEM better moon even harder this week
MOVES FOR THIS WEEK GLD CALLS, GDX, NEM, IAU NVDL PUTS
I'm thinking FCX calls. Everyone bulling on NEM, but FCX has the biggest gold mine. Could be a huge mover.
Gold miners are this year’s play. Newmont in q2 will make more profit than Netflix and they are worth 8x less. Newmont q1 will be like 1.8-2.5 billion net cash flow. Average home price was 2850 ish. It’s 3300. If it keeps going up these miners will be making more profit than the chip companies. At 60-70% margins. And if you tac the 16x forward earnings industy average on NEM with 3 billion in net earnings. They make 12 billion per year. So 12x16 =192 b market cap. Current market cap is 62 billion. Huge upside here.
Probably should just full port into gold mining companies at this point. Over the last month- NEM, GFI up 20%, KGC up 25%, AU up 40%, HMY almost 50%.

I think it is a bit late to shift in a major way because the markets have already moved but my holdings are mostly in a general world ex-US fund like VXUS, some in specific European ETFs like VGK, and a few concentrations in specific European defense companies like Rheinmetall (RNMBY) and BAE Systems (BAESY). I also have significant parts of my portfolio in IAUM and NEM for gold exposure since last year.
Might by NEM if it goes down
okay so no strategy, Noted. Also assuming any hedgeing is out of question. Getting lucky on one or two trades doesn’t make you an investor. it makes you a lucky gambler. Someone who’s looking to be in a defensive position and gain 2-10% while the market takes a shit should be looking at gold. With china dumping bonds due to dipshits trade war, inflation and dollar devaluation all points to very bullish for gold. KGC & NEM have been rallying the past week and are both profitable growth & defensive plays.
8 GDX options 1 GDXJ 1 NEM and 10 GOLD
I'm not a gold person and probably never will be, but gold is up 87% the past 5 years while NEM's total return is 9%. If you want gold exposure, stick to gold. The gold companies are generally bad investments.

Lots of shorts covering in the market now, that's why the high beta small cap stocks are up a lot. Lots of risks remain in the market. I used this bounce to sell my HOOD position which is going to have a terrible quarter and guidance because they make lots of money during bull markets, but in bear markets they are crushed because nobody is going to invest....people prefer to stay in cash and out of the stock market and the situation stabilizes. I will re-enter some months from now when the market is going to go up. I also sold my ASTS position, netting a small profit. In this macroeconomic scenario I don't want risk and unprofitable companies are very risky. Added to RKLB as the only unprofitable company I own right now, that's the risky part of my portfolio. Added to the gold miners NEM, AEM and KGC I have a couple of short positions which I'm maintaining to hedge the portfolio because I believe there is still plenty of downside risk with a recession.
New to investing need some advice Hi guys I am brand new to investing. Just opened a SoFi checking and hysa accounts so I will be using that as a platform for trading. The three stocks I thought I could start putting my money into is VOO (s&p 500), O (realty organization), and NEM (gold). How should I split say 300 dollars between these three. I also would like to know if these three are even good to begin with. Thanks for any help.
if Coffee beans price starts falling soon I think SBUX is a nice entry... pretty much anything with a big moat around it and are in multiple countries. right now Coffee is still too high and global slowdown and recession fears I'd stay away from SBUX for the super short term but maybe July I'll buy some. depends on Coffee beans.... other stocks I'm buying are BIL and AAA.asx maybe some IBIT soon and SLV especially if the gold silver ratio gets above 115 I'm loading harder. short term I'll scoop some more NEM thanks gold miners Maybe even some GLDY
As a man with a bunch of NEM I agree with your assessment. They should be printing money but they suck. Just buy gold if you believe in it.
What a mistake betting on gold miners instead of the actual asset Gold has been going up 1 percent a day yet NEM can’t go above 50 because it’s a stock and is getting sold at the nearest strike This market is worse than 2020 because their is a very real possibility it takes decades to recover from the damage done and nothing is safe not even bonds
Lol, I have large positions in Canadian copper plays and NEM. Commodities are flying but I picked some duds.
I'm probably late,I'm retired and 72.5, with Rmd coming. Which of these stocks might suffer the most and i'd be better off without; KMI VTI O VTV SCHD SPHY BTI SO MO T MSFT NEM AAPL
NEM and GOLD gonna pump tomorrow, shiny yellow just hit 3k
What plays you been eyeing? NEM or AEM? Or just GDX?
> because the NEM3 credit rate is so low as to be nothing at all. That's how it is in most countries, California was the special case. If you don't use much electricity during the day it's not worth it, but then you also don't have a large electric bill in the first place so it's not a big worry. Battery costs have been consistently going down so eventually it might make sense even for people that have low consumption during the day.
They are required because the NEM3 credit rate is so low as to be nothing at all. You are proposing I reduce my bill by maybe 50% since I don't really use much more electricity during the day as I do in the evening, i.e. fridge and charging devices is about my main use, everything else is gas.
Always sus of $ NEM. it's always been a dog for me.
# **TLDR** --- **Ticker:** GOLD, AEM, FNV, NEM, CGAU, KGC **Direction:** Up **Prognosis:** Buy gold mining stocks; they're undervalued, increasing production, and sitting on cash. **Author's Portfolio Performance (From Image):** Mostly Green, with AEM and KGC being significant winners.
My NEM calls got destroyed :( got 4 months until expiry so hoping for bounce back
AEM, NEM, GLD all down today. There’s nowhere to hide.
NEM beats by 36% .. goes up $.38 .. .. stupid ass Gold stocks.
SFM BABA and NEM coming to save my port tomorrow. Or bankrupt me
Yes. But I’m 80% in biotech which was in the shitter for 4 years. And China which similarly wasn’t over pumped. FCX and NEM round it out for me. I’d really like Canada exposure for oil and gas or Eurozone industrial. But need to clear some trsdes (swtx TGTX)
TOST NEM BABA week. Let's make some fuggin' monies and have seggs with vagenes!
I watch the stock market very closely and I want to explain something: Look at OP position What is the only stock that isn’t red? #Vale Why Vale? Iron ore demand has been extremely low as the Chinese economy has been stagnant Look at Chinese stocks this past month and look at Vale they trade in sympathy because the stimulation of their economy directly correlates with increased profits for Vale due to increased demand for iron ore to build new construction That and a general rebound among undervalued Brazilian stocks is why EWZ is one of my top plays I have made a lot of money on NEM options the past month because of strength in gold but prior to that was down a lot of them if you look a couple months ago when gold declined the miners go hit twice as hard and still haven’t recovered to previous highs so you have to be mindful of the current market sentiment because gold thrives only in times of economic uncertainty
Newmont (NEM) - earnings in a few days. Solid choice.
Nice DD. I’m currently holding NEM shares and TECK shares and May calls OTM . Both are reporting earnings on Thursday. I’m starting to think I didn’t buy enough.
NEM or TOST calls would be my transit to Valhalla tus week
