All that being said, the entire world is about to change. 2027/2028 is going to be the timeframe where we enter the AI era. The job market is going to take a pounding. AI will no longer need humans to progress and will be able to research, experiment, and create new models. Shortly after will be AI robots everywhere. As long as there is investment available for chips the sector should hold together, but I am not sure about the rest of society.

I have some updates. Been officially on PRO for about 7 trading days. So far my SPXW execution doesn't appear different from what I had before. The fee otherwise is painful. 20c extra for each contract at least (and cheaper contracts have a few cents more, partially offset by more expensive ones have a few cents less). Original purpose of these 2x, 3x, and 4x etfs are for DAILY trading so a person could get 3x DAILY exposure to say the S&P500 without 3x the money. VOO costs $600. UPRO $120. You have $500 dollars. Before fractional shares you could buy 0shares of VOO. Even with fractional you would only get $500 of max exposure to VOO. With UPRO you should theoretically get $1500 exposure to UPRO (for a day). We've had a near 2 decade bull rally with no real major downturns so folks look at the UPRO/TQQQ charts and think they always go up. Problem is you'd get fucked if you bought PRO on 2000 or 2007. IBKR PRO \*\*DOES\*\* allow their Traders DMA (Direct Market Access) - IBKR Lite does NOT. I can route to NYSE, ARCA, IEX and a whole bunch of other ECNs. So you are incorrect. I do not like IBKR software. They are a billion dollar enterprise and they can't find their own ass with either hand when building software interfaces. They finally actually adopted/using Trading View charts to some degree.

EU mate, there is only handful of brokers without fees, I am on IBKR but Europe doesn't have Lite account (which has no commission), only PRO. There are some brokers with commission free, but they have higher fee for currency exchange and have very limited number of tradable stocks.
