No need to buy chips for AI play. Some utilities still undervalued. UGI up 75% from where I bought in 1 year, and it's still cheap. Ridiculous valuation (11x forward NTM EPS) for a natural gas combined pipeline plus utility that sends natural gas straight to data centers in Pennsylvania.

You need to transform your concept of safe into a time frame and tolerance for volatility. If you are a long term investor, pick 5 or so stocks with consistently growing earnings. If the large cap stocks, I like NVIDIA, Meta and Amazon in the order. Eli Lilly has great long term prospects. Dover is an excellent industrial and a Dividend Aristocrat (raised dividend every year for at least 25 years and in S&P 500, Dover is at 69 years which encompasses multiple economic shocks). Utilities that are Dividend Champions (raised dividend 25+ years, but not in S&P 500): UGI and Black Hills. If you view safe as no company specific shocks, go with Vanguard’s S&P 500 ETF VOO.

I’m just a guy training models, I am number 1 on the UGI Benchmarks for my BlackSheep Models, I focus on 8 Billion Parameter because it reaches the most accessible consumer hardware of <= 16GB. I would love to be proved wrong, but like I said the used market from 2 gens back are more affordable and offer a highly competitive experience so the demand for any potential Intel chips is low outside of our ai tech bubble. The argument you failed to recognize is compatibility of drivers and frameworks we already use being intels weakest link. But thank you for your insights as it gives me perspective on what those not in my field see which helps me make better financial bets haha.

IMO, the "chaos" the news talks about is just to get views and over blown. Like the doomers on YouTube always saying we are going into a recession. I would go for real-estate (I'm trying to), you say that's not in the cards, so maybe a REIT? Utility stocks might be good. I was buying UGI at a 6% dividend, but the stock already moved up. Maybe an ETF for utilities? Otherwise, gold might be good if you are concerned about inflation returning.

UGI Corporation and Black Hills Corporation are interesting if you like steady dividends. Both are “dividend champions” which is same criteria as “dividend aristocrat” but champions are not part of the S&P 500. As a result, they have less analysts coverage and public discussion. My best dividend stocks are: ET, EPD, O and FRT.

You're in the same place as I am. You are not rich. You are average based on the engineers i work with. Depending on inflation, you will likely need $2M - $5M net worth to retire and still enjoy life. IMO, real estate could be a good place to put some. You probably want a job so you can qualify for a loan. I'm looking for an STR i could also enjoy using. Starting a business is good, but buying one is less risky if you know the type of business. You only need about 20% down with an SBA loan. So with 300k, you could go up to $1M easily with some in reserve. That i would hope would have >$250K/yr in SDE. (Before the loan) I keep a yolo portfolio and then have a separate FANG and FANG like stock one. Keeping a little In what i think are safe dividend stocks (like UGI) as a second piggy bank for if there is a crash.

Either you invest in something mentioned here, or you take a risk and learn a high-value skill to earn multiple times what you have now using your own intelligence and reproducible methods. Since you’re young, I would recommend finding a trusted source to learn sales or closing techniques. I made my first 10k within two weeks of finding the perfect client, making the 6k investment worthwhile (pls Do NOT come to me asking about it make your own research its just a suggestion not here to sell anything). Closing is a skill that never goes out of demand because every company, including your own if you become an entrepreneur, will need it. This skill not only benefits business but also shapes your interaction with the world, making you a better communicator and opening up numerous opportunities. However, be aware that this path is not easy; securing the first job is the hardest part, and preparing for it won't be simple. But it is worth it. In my opinion, since you’re young, invest in yourself and take the risk to make significant money through your efforts. Just asking this question shows you are smarter than the average person, who may not be looking to maximize their gains. **Option 2:** You could invest in safe stocks, perhaps a good dividend stock like UGI Corp, which has a long history of paying dividends and growing steadily, offering about 5-6% dividends each year. A smart investor would reinvest these dividends to increase future yields. An even smarter investor might allocate 20-30% of their monthly income into this stock to further boost gains. This is known as compound interest. Look it up if you're not familiar; it’s one of the smartest strategies a young person can employ. Alternatively, invest in something stable like the S&P 500 and forget about it for the next 10 years. It may not yield the highest returns, but it is relatively safe and offers steady gains. **Option 3 (Unpopular Opinion):** Consider investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Crypto is inherently high-risk, and I would not typically recommend getting into Bitcoin. However, some believe Bitcoin might reach $500,000 or even $1 million in the distant future. This could take 20-30-50 years, and it’s possible that Bitcoin might lose all its value by then. Despite the high volatility, some people bet on such outcomes. For any investment, when everyone is raving about a stock’s performance, it’s often time to sell because a collapse may be imminent. Conversely, buy when the market is down. This approach isn’t foolproof, as timing the market peaks is difficult. **Option 4:** Secure your wealth by buying physical gold or silver. Silver might become more important for the tech industry than gold. Gold is a safe option and can help preserve your wealth if the dollar collapses. **Option 5:** The most risky option is betting on high-risk new stocks or cryptocurrencies. While some people have made significant gains, many more have lost everything. Predicting which companies or crypto assets will succeed is extremely difficult and akin to gambling. It requires a deep understanding of the technology, market trends, and trustworthiness of the people behind the projects. **Option 6:** Trading, whether day trading or swing trading in stocks or crypto, is another high-risk option. While some people do make a lot of money, the majority do not. Leveraged trading is particularly dangerous as it can result in losing more than your initial investment, sometimes leading to severe financial consequences. **End note:** Since you’re young, investing in yourself is the best strategy. Acquiring a high-value skill can enable you to generate income and liquidity to invest in other opportunities. Long-term investments will be valuable over 30-50+ years. While $10k can be a good starting point for long-term growth, significant short-term returns require much larger initial investments. For those content with steady employment and passive gains, long-term investments like those suggested by others here are an excellent start.

I would add to invest heavily in utilities stocks since they were one of the worst sectors in 2023. I would on top of this only invest in mid cap utilities since interest rate increases were what helped to bog them down between late 2022 until now. I see the following mid cap utilities stocks doing well in 2024: **- NEP (Renewable)** **- PNM (Regulated electric)** **- UGI (Regulated gas)** **- NJR (Regulated gas)**

Delta Neutral is the price where a hypothetical portfolio of all option open interest for the ticker produces the least delta. Simply touching those calculated price levels isn't enough to make a trading decision. You need to consider what the ticker's price did the previous times it touched those levels. You should also take into context the broader market movement. The plays and target entry prices given are calculated using a binomial option pricing model that reflect the expected size and duration of the reaction from gamma max or delta neutral. A lot of these plays are profitable by underlying moves in stock. The best plays benefit from the directional move as well as the increase in IV.
