Deep CC on Vale - playing theta and dividends smart and safe
$VALE call options are cheap and could lead to some good potential profit with the rise of nickle. idk I'm bad at this. I also have another option for this stock with $23 strike price that expires tomorrow that I spent only $1 for cuz well, who knows. I've done no research just a small YOLO. 🦍🦧🗿
I'm selling everything and I'll tell you why (hint: I may need the money soon)
Steel play from Brazil: SID. If you hade enough of the growth corrections, and want a piece of a real company without MEME potential.

Glad to hear you're feeling good about VALE! Just keep an eye on the global demand for iron ore; it can really swing the stock. A solid earnings report could push it even higher, so that’ll be interesting to watch.
Look at the 5 year chart for $AA, $MOS, $VALE, $CLF, $OXY, and $HAL. Those are the commodity stocks I have been buying. I agree with you on gold & silver. I have been holding both gold & silver, but not adding. If money actually moves out of America, where will it go? Foreign tech & banking stocks? Not a chance in hell. But you can store your cash in assets such as commodities that have demand worldwide.
anyone here also invested in VALE?
Go for one of the big base metals companies. Nice longterm patterns about to break up… BHP, VALE(adjusted for dividends) etc
I doubled my money on VALE twice (objectively evil mining corporation). I have principals, however, eg I will never ever voluntarily buy a share of Oracle. Their sales tactics are egregiously aggressive, their licensing is extortionate, and they’ve acquired and killed multiple industry leading open source products. Also Larry is a bad guy.
VALE lol even iron ore is pumping 🤣
Not a lot of CHEAP commodity big dawgs left. VALE is my favorite. Forward P/E of 7 with emerging market and commodity bull tail winds. Brazil major index EWZ just broke out of a massive pattern….VALE is 10 percent of that index…
VALE baby. Brazil stock market gonna do wild things this commodity bull
Agree on copper and metals! I just started getting into SCCO 2 weeks ago and it blew up this week but I'm going to just DCA further into it Also heavy into VALE, because they get a decent amount of Cobalt which will be very important in the space market for the next few years. Love it!
Stocks: 7% max for a full position (of overall value), so my current top 3 are NVDA 7%, VALE, 6% and VRT also 6%. I do 10 to 12 stocks max in my stock portfolio, the others are less than these amounts as I am still buying/building the positions (or scaling out). Doing the math you’ll see that this will leave me with between 20 and 30% of cash to deploy when opportunities present themselves… also, I try not to concentrate in any given sector, so that I have diversification… I saw a poster earlier say y’all are one recession away from being really poor and diversification helps against that….. so does the cash (in a 30/60/90 day MM). Good luck. The goal is to make money so think about how to protect your gains! Good luck!
i have SID too but I bought calls in VALE
GGB and SID are my favorite picks to play iron but VALE is cool too
if you didn’t like VALE below $10, you hate money!
Index fun safest. I think this is a mineral play as much as oil in the background. This comes a day or two after China restricts silver. I’m looking at AMG, VALE, and a few others.
Some of my favs: MO, AGNC, F, VZ, VALE, KVUE Shout-out to the obvious ones like WMT and TGT
3 of my fav I don't think are talked about enough: ALM - Tungsten miner outside of China, and they have rights to a lot of mines worldwide. Tungsten is super critical and just last week he visited DC and I wouldn't be shocked if they get a contract in the next 6 months. I'm DCA $20 daily and will probably buy more leaps for 2027. VALE - Similar reason, but Vale has a lot of Cobalt byproduct and cobalt will be very useful if the AI bubble doesn't burst too quickly. Also the space market heavily relies on it! SMR/MIR - my nuclear play for this year, both are good bets and I'm also just DCA into them as options aren't great. SMR in particular has zero customers, but they're the only company with federal approval for US locations, so with power needs about to sky rocket due to AI they'll likely get a few in 2026. And right now it's only a couple bucks away from 52w low. It's going to get beat badly it they don't get a customer soon, but I believe in them long term so I'm investing quite a bit of my port to them.
On Stocks 2x sp500… Hit 40% on VALE by buying Jan 2025, still holding, pulled principal out last week and playing with house $. NVDA was nice, bought more under $90 thx to orange man and sold around $200… same thing, yank principal out and play with house money. ORCL… bought pre 2025 and sold (at height to get principal out). LLY… went big at $650 level and pulled principal out at 1K ATH level. Traded FCX after Indo mine flood… made ez 20% holding 4 less than a month. Had 1 spec loser too! LUCY… LOST 3K on a you know better friend says buy and I’m 3 sheets to the wind trade. Great year for sp500 stocks but glad it’s over. Oh, also made a nice 20% gain by holding FIG less than 40 minutes on ipo day.
i am rolling all Gold/Silver miners into Jan 2027. playing the earnings all year. the miners are trailing the commodities in price and valuation. this is my wifes portfolio, i manage it. all miners in ITM except VALE. currently Barrick(B) Pan American (PAAS) Coeur mining (CDE) Silver corp (SVM) and Teck (TECK). she insists i purchase more positions. (Calls) she is getting greedy.
$VALE had a great year (+61% YTD including dividends!) despite the sense of weakness in the iron ore markets. Thankfully, the iron ore price seems to have stabilized with a $100 floor recently. The longer term decarbonization trend for steel production would actually benefit them, as it requires a type of iron they produce. (So they are a hedge against the bear thesis for met coal) They also have a (smaller) exposure to copper/nickel, and at least copper is doing well while nickel is no longer crashing. Bear thesis: weak demand or global recession, oversupply triggered by the Simandou project in Guinea, another environmental disaster, or worsening of reparation payments. Bull thesis: Iron ore market continues to improve, delays in Simandou, nickel recovery, more cost efficiencies (they are some of the lowest cost producers!), multiple expansion if Brazil sentiment improves, still single digits P/E, negotiating better terms on reparations Position: $9.15 cost basis
Kinda why I'm focusing on Cobalt, just can't find a good ticker except for VALE and BHP
this my investment Theory for 2026 and options into 2027. i purchased Calls on Gold/Silver miners early in 2025. my positions are all Deep ITM. i will roll these Jan 1st (next week) to Jan 2027. this will allow me to play the Earnings season for all Cash rich Miners since the price of Gold/Silver has skyrocketed. not just earnings but Buyouts and Mergers. my holdings = Barrick(B) Pan American Silver (PAAS) Vale (VALE) Coeur Mining (CDE) and SilverCorp (SVM). i have one copper play Teck Res Limited (TECK) that i just bought a call on Dec 5th which is up 42%. does anyone think this gameplan makes sense? let me know.
I have VALE and copper miner ETF. But I'll change the ETF maybe later if I get a better idea.
in the past i have traded a Silver Etf (SLV). so i have watched Gold and Silver for several years. but when my wife wanted Gold and Silver long positions i told her it was like watching paint dry. i was very sure not much profit would be made. but i knew to go long (1 year expiration) on all calls. i planned to start with the big boys at the top (Barrick and Pan American). and a gold and silver etf (IAU, SLV). this was in febuary. as things progressed and the gold and silver went crazy she pushed for more positions. so i opened up 2 small miner positions (CDE, SVM) For her birthday i bought a position in VALE. today all the positions are deep in ITM or ATM. according to Schwab the portfolio is up 500% . we went from an account balance of $2500 ant the beginning of 2025 to $21,210 as of closing 12/19. i hope this makes sense. call it luck.
i have 5 miners and 3 Etf's in my portfolio. my portfolio is pure gold/silver Call Options. i started at the beginning of 2025 with SLV and Barrick (B). i also hold CDE, PAAS, SVM, VALE and IAU, SILJ. the most profitable option currently is my Barrick 5 contracts i bought in febuary. $35 strike Jan 2027 expiry. the 5 contracts cost basis $85. my profit is at 5123.67% and gold and silver keep rockin.
anyone know why ticker VALE has so many call volumes? https://preview.redd.it/t7ke0g9r6p6g1.png?width=1607&format=png&auto=webp&s=d70fc12bd83c7e59734e30dad0ee40d908c7ccec
why are there so many call options on ticker VALE? like 1.2M volume on calls for 12-13 on 12/19/25for VALE anyone know why?
Anyone notice the insane bearish options premiums on VALE ? Dark pool says 334M ..
VALE is doing great, PBR, BBD, and they have a 10% dividend. Next year there are elections in Brazil, worst thing that can happen is that the same party stay in power, and if opposition wins i think is considered good for market. And is not like you are holding Reales, those stocks trade in the US market
yeah I own some mining and oil (VALE, PBR)
I am Brasileiro and agree with him. Here I only invest in a few companies like PRIO3, WEGE4. Our Index have the two giants VALE3 and PETR4 being almost 10% of the index. If these two do well, like VALE3 did recently, the Index will inevitably go up I do think the american market and world etfs are much safer because we have some serious political and fiscal risk.
$VALE is my largest current position, there are some bangers on the BMRORTESDMBBFGH$&DB… or whatever you call that exchange.
Peep the 5YR VALE chart and tell me you aren’t bullish rn
Snagged some VALE (nickel). Looks ready
A put is an option contract granting someone elae ths right topurchase your shares at a particular price. So, hypotheically, if you thought VALE was overvalued, and owned 100 shares, you could sell a put expiring on 10/31at a strike of 11.50. This would currently get you .22 per share, or 22 dollars. In a week, if Vale is still above 11.50 a share (currently 11.54) your share would he sold at 11.50, netting you a total of 11.72 a share. If it had dropped below 11.50, you would keep the 0.22, and still own the shares. If you wanted to have less downside risk, you could instead sell the 11.00 strike for .08, netting you 11.58 a share, as long as it doesnt drop below 11.00.
I've been easing into VALE
BTW I own a lot of VALE, the div has been fluctuating but I’m up overall despite my shares being down about 4-5% over a year. Solid buy under $10.
Covered call funds can generate a good dividend. JEPI is the famous one but there's others too. Think they're at 8 or 9%. Brazilian stocks are cheap. But there's some political risk. VALE pays around 10%. I'm in PAGS which does about 9%. Plus they do stock buybacks on top of that. I've said before here why I think VZ is good and safe. Pays around 6.5%. Write covered calls on it and earn even more. Or you could always do bonds. Though with inflation looking foreboding maybe I'd hold off on that. I like MO. I don't like PEP.
"*Massive exclusions*" are aircraft, energy and OJ. How is VALE doing this morning? One of the biggest companies in Brazil if you're not familiar with them. Brazil got the worst tariffs of all countries out there. Its so bad that the admin knows it will get challenged in court. That's why their reasoning for the tariffs are different than other countries and have a different start date. You're out of your depth here.
* TSLA puts * RKT calls * VALE shares * INTC shares * REGN shares * MSOS shares
what strike and what date? I think VALE should at least 2-3x by 2027. Iron ore is bottoming
haha my bad. I just saw their charts and liked them better. I have traded VALE back in 2021-2022 so it was a familiar name. Same with HPE. My bad for not clarifying.
VALE looks .. quite honestly, like a good buy. What am I missing? I'm considering buying 100 options, far out.
VALE has a pretty big float but that’s ballsy to short a metals miner right now 😳
that would be crazy. Iron ore is turning up and VALE is deep value and the Real is turning up. Even then, I’d be shocked if VALE had big pumps like OPEN or another meme stock
I saw some dude say $VALE is next in the daily so naturally I bought FDs on it
Why do you like the tickers mentioned above? Any specific reason for HPE VALE etc?
Man WSB has come alive this week, it's been ages since we had this much action. RKT and VALE are my next pump plays.
You're now in the dump phase of a pump and dump. Move on to the next pump (I'm in VALE and RKT).
OPEN is done, VALE next?
Married to VALE #weddingseason
VALE is happening LFG, $20 here we go. Doubled my money on this stock twice in the past.
Alright forget these has-been clapped out memes, what’s next? It’s VALE isn’t it? Metals, so hot 🔥
VALE and LAC are the only ones we need
legendary-rare VALE mention
Nice drilling up area on VALE pushing towards 10.25 soon
VALE nice reversal to green . Just broke high of day. Should run up into close
Miners very strong today. VALE drilling to new highs . Loaded 10 odte calls looks like I should get triple
I bought a lot of RIO and VALE last year. Enjoying the divs til the bounce comes.
Very strange that all my Big Beautiful Bill stocks are down after hours 🤔 (VALE, BBAI, BTU)
Tempting P/B 0.25. Not sure about timing though, you know what they say about being right too early... I got the right moment with KEP but I am still waiting for VALE and PFE.
Rate my portfolio for Monday. 25% each: LMT PBR VZ VALE I'm guessing I'll be up 2 down 2. Slight gain.
VALE going for $10 . Holding up really good pre market . Loading calls on open
RIO VALE BHP in the green pre market .
VALE about to break high of day . Going to clear 9.9 resistance . 10 + open on am
VALE drilling about to take out high of day. 10 call volume picking up.
VALE nice drilling to highs gets over 9.80 will close 10+
VALE nice liftoff . Heading towards 10 . Loading calls
VALE broke over 200 ma . No resistance till 10.25 area the 10 strike volume getting action
VALE new high of day. Looks like $10 coming . Loaded some 10 calls for double
VALE new high of day broke over 100 day ma. Next stop 9.75 10 area
VALE high of day . 9.50 calls getting volume should be a double
Vale (mining Brazil) : [https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VALE/](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VALE/) Vale has a P/E of 6.6 and an expected dividend yield of 8%.
Ok let’s go thru the manipulation list again GOOGL 164.8 APLD 6.8 F 10.8 MU 97.8 VALE 9.8 FVN 26.8 CLSK 9.8 PCG 17.8 QUBT 11.8 SBGI 14.8 These are just a handful of my stocks that are all sitting EXACTLY in the middle of the next available strikes for the SOLE purpose of crushing THETA How is it possible every one of these stocks is staying flat not going over a strike and not going under a strike !?
Just looked back at VALE's financials from Q1 2025 report a few weeks ago: Takeaways, everything still looks great except for a flat iron ore prices. Cost per ton continues to fall, capex is reduced. Some upside in copper prices helping out. If iron ore prices stay where they are for years, upside is modest; if they rise, upside is enormous. Big supply threat is Simandou, in rural Guinea: a project decades in the making, frequently interrupted by coups, arbitrary work stoppages, [frequent worker fatalities (13 officially since 2023)](https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/fatal-cost-rio-tintos-flagship-iron-ore-project-2025-03-12/). Historically big mining projects end up getting delayed substantially and are rarely ahead of schedule. More of a 2028-30 bear story I think.
It’s absolutely hilarious how obvious the manipulation is so many stocks the same exact price as yesterday sitting at .8 between strikes Just look at a few they are suppressing: F held at 10.8 PCG held at 17.8 VALE held at 9.8 TTD held at 76.8 Why and how else would these stocks stay exactly at these prices except to purposely decay theta while they load up on the next move
That VALE DD never did work out 😤.
Look at how many stocks at at .8 to .9 and exactly on a strike and tell me it’s not to decay theta it’s like every single one PCG 17.8 RIOT 8.9 SOFI 13.8 VALE 9.8 GOOGL 165.8 That’s just a few of mine that have literally been sitting at these same exact positions since after the first 30
VALE if you can tolerate commodity volatility.
Will mining and rare earth materials companies like VALE, FCX, and BHP start to skyrocket because of this?
Any thoughts on companies like VALE or BHP coming down the line? Anyone know if we see rare earth materials and miners start to rise in value with the tariffs since the end cost us passed to the consumer?
There are many stocks above 5%-10% dividends, especially after the recent pull back. DOW inc. 9.85%, UPS 6.75%, VALE 14%, CVI 11%, ET 8% to name a handful.
I bought 500 shares of VALE at prices of $8.70-9.50! With all the build build yapping, Ukraine rebuilding, and China stimulus, it looks like its poised for another run. That dividend close to 10% is also a huge plus!
$SPY Since my mining DD: -4.7% $RIO: +0.39% $VALE: -1.12% $BHP: -2.2% $BTG: +5.5% $GOLD: +4%
VALE the only green in my port
Get out of VALE. They'll have to cut the dividend because costs (iirc 19B) are 2x cash flow this year due to lawsuit resolutions.
