As retail, you cant trade Indian stocks listed in India without citizenship or residency there. (Local market rules) You can trade few indian stocks on US exchanges (HDB, IBN, INDY, TTM, WIT etc.). There are some India specific ETFs trading in US and Europe as well (INDY, INDA, EPI etc) if you want to try that. In IBKR, even if you cant trade the stocks you can still trade the Indian index NIFTY futures as they also trades on singapore exchange. You need to activate signapore in your regions in IBKR. The futures are expressed in dollars and each index point change leads to change of 2 dollars.(2$ per point)

The only India stock I follow is WIT, Witpro Limited, IT industry. Almost $40B market cap at $7.08 price. It’s undervalued. Ask India experts.
For buying Indian individual stocks as retail participant you will need to be Indian citizen (resident or non resident). This applies even with interactive brokers for India access. Hence if you aren't one, best will be nifty index ETFs like INDA or INDY, small cap ETF like SMIN. Also some Indian stocks trade in US. (HDB, IBN, INFY, WIT, TTM, RDY) and AXB (London)

Aside from that, even though I'm up, I feel my strategy here is none and I wish I had one. I have a feeling I'm overleveraged in tech and trying to change that. More or less discerning picks based on news, debt levels, and scanning wikipedia for CEOs that are magnets to DUIs and other shitty behaviors.

Even if your call goes ITM, you may not find anyone willing to buy it at the price you want. Also, if you buy 100 contracts for $500, you have a 25% chance of selling them for more than that. Prices range between $.05 and $.10 per contract when ITM. A $147 AAPL call for June 30 (2 days post-earnings) is $485 right now with 10,000 potential buyers. It has a 55% chance of staying ITM. Are the odds higher that you’ll be able to sell that call for more money between now and earnings? In my humble, non-professional opinion, yes. You are more likely to make $50-$75 on one AAPL contract than you are to make $75 on 100 WIT contracts.
I've been buying slightly OTM calls on WIT because they are cheap and it's a ticker I'm extremely bullish on. Haven't hit yet but I'm talking 60+DTE calls 25% OTM for $5-15 usually. It's more of a lotto ticket than a sound investment. UMC is another that I believe has serious upside and usually has low premium.
Gonna buy a shit ton of 8/20 WIT calls and a few puts.
