LRC STANDS FOR GET 'DAT BREAD!\* ^(\*i'm dyslexic)
*nothing is in here that hasn't been there before (except what elon just tweeted)* stop! kind posting person, because your "feel" is TA 100% correct you are going to get 100+ dca newb/clueless answers that make no real $ense...... forget it-you already have the smart $ strat (i am guessing you know this) that smart is based on DATA (crypto is volatile and all volatile assets mean revert).....and DAT is your bestie the wanna bees in here-not so very much good luck! Well done. One of my favorite things in this community besides the comedy it provides, is legit support and community-centered motives. I know there’s shilling, bullying, and all kinds of fuckery here (just like everywhere else in Reddit, hell, the whole inter webs and SM space) but this kind of content shines through and overshadows the BS by far, in my experience. Long-ass sentence Tl;DR R/cc has provided more community and support for me than it has shown me the dark side. LUH DAT SHIT
Do a search for any .DAT files, or a Bitcoin Core wallet. And if you find any, hopefully he didn’t encrypt them! You can also look for any 12 or 24 series of random words, which would be a seed phrase. Good luck!
I am still holding some DATUM,$DAT, but from what I can tell it's in a vegetative state.
I'm probably a sand flea 🥲 ONE DAY DAT FLEA GONE GROW INTO A WALE DOE!!!! Dimey Hans 💎🙌
That's when we buy DAT DIP
I'm 40% Algo and 25% eth so this is heavily biased when I say STACK DAT ALGO BABY!
DAT! It's dormant or dead, but the idea was killer, getting paid for your data... Never took off.... Keeping it for nostalgia
Well... I tried! ***GET DAT BREAD!!***
Feeling nostalgic! Did anyone every hear of Datum, $DAT? Or ETN?
That's part of why i feel guilty. Also because I feel like it's similar to calling in sick to work. ***GOTTA GET DAT MOON***!
Datum DAT! Getting paid for your data, never topk off... Anyone remember?
I think there's a lot of potential in the NFT space for these content creators. ##MINT DAT ASS Don't forget to like and subscribe, turn on notifications, and mint day ass on the blockchain!
I installed a Bitcoin node back in 2012 and downloaded the full blockchain but never mined it really because my first computer was a really humble one. Wallets as far as I remember are a .DAT file protected by password. If you dont keep trying your regrets will go up and down as the candle stick charts. Clone that disk before attempting destructive methods though
From the article, he forgot the password, but then deleted the .DAT file entirely because it was so long ago and Bitcoin was worthless So this is just a case of a *oopsie whoopsie*
Anyone remembers DATUM, $DAT? \*having some nostalgic moment\*
Mmm, DAT cheese dip!
You forgot the most important order. * ORDER OF FRIES WITH DAT Seriously. Those fries are yummy.
I feel you hard on the frustration. I too am wanting to leave my stressful often 50+ hours a week Salaried to 40 living in expensive SoCal. Originally wanted to go to Dental School, was in the process of getting ready to take DAT's then mom had multiple aneurism's and eventually passed due to health issues- stopped DAT studying so I could work and move her and I into a 2 bedroom. She died months before I was ready, but for my career I fell into dental management, and I'm just over it now. There's no growth, and the company doesn't care about growing or developing it's talent starting at my level and up. As a result, the job is highly repetitive, not really interesting, and I am going nowhere VERY quick at 36. Don't get me wrong, the money is decent, but not great and I am underpaid according to Glassdoor. Really though, working throughout this pandemic without closing down, and having to deal with a lot of ungrateful and rude patient's and perceived unappreciative higher management has put a negative sentiment on my job with this company. At this time, I'd rather go to school for Computer Science or invest in some certificate program of sorts and venture elsewhere. Luckily for me understanding business workings, management principals, etc will be a good addition when wanting to move forward elsewhere. I hope my crypto investing for the long term pays off so I can at least have that as an emergency cushion. Now it's looking pretty nice. I'm finding that my personal sanity and enjoying my life moving forward is worth more to me than I'm currently financially and work/life balance given now.
I have to go with DATUM / DAT... Anyone ever heard about that? It wanted to users to be able to sell their data for DAT...
Review of the company from the Doge guy himself with more details: > On June 13th, 2021, Robert from KeychainX.io successfully brute-force hacked into my LANGERHANS Android DOGECOIN wallet .DAT file to recover the lost/forgotten spending PIN needed to spend funds from the file. It took him only three (3) days from start to finish to complete the task. > As it turned out, the spending PIN was ten (10) numeric-only digits in length, which I had mistakenly thought was 12 digits. Once Robert discovered, and then recited, the full 10-digit PIN to me based on "hints" I had given him that only I would know, it then stirred up my memory a bit dating back to the time I had set the PIN in 2015. In my case, I made the mistake of never writing down the PIN in the first place. > The wallet file in this case contained just over 10.5 million DOGECOINS installed on it that were spread out over an aggregate total of 15 DOGE public wallet addresses and their corresponding private keys. At the time I had acquired the 10.5 million coins during 2015, the total cost to me represented only about $1,500 based on the then-current nominal value of DOGE at about $0.0001 per coin. > The wallet file had been inaccessible to me since December 27, 2015, after realizing I had forgotten the spending PIN. Prior to finding the KeychainX Company, and Robert, I had made a few other encounters with individuals who proved unsuccessful at recovering the wallet spending PIN. > So in reality, as it turned out here, I ended up far better off financially due to forgetting the spending PIN. Had I never forgotten it, I would have exchanged or sold the 10.5 million coins in question during the 2017 crypto market bull run along with another 40 million DOGECOIN that I sold off in 2017. Even after accounting for a share of the recovered coins being awarded to Robert and KeychainX for his efforts, I came out way, way ahead of the game financially.
This is the gwei. GET DAT GWEI!
Lets make like Wallace and Grommit and go GET US A PIECE O DAT MOON CHEESE 🌕🧀
I still have some nostalgic coins in my wallets... ETN and DAT, but so far no comeback, and i am not holding my breath... Anyone know anything about these two?
DAT and ETN.... just out of nostalgic reasons... Anyone know whats up with them?
PCs are prone to malware. A hacker can get your wallet.DAT and try to bruteforce it, or use a keylogger too and steal your password. A good phone wallet like Blue Wallet is just as self-custodial as a PC wallet. You seem to be thinking of an exchange app or something.
I was waiting for Microsoft to show their cards in regard to crypto. And that they would use that data kinda makes sense... DAT tried it years ago, did not really work out....
It's nothing new a couple years ago, there was DAT. They promised that you get paid for your data... They are not around anymore 😂
My guess is they make more money selling the .DAT files, and presumably sell each one of them multiple times until one is solved
Some of the .DAT files indicate there is a password hint, as the original user could remember pieces of it, i.e. "The password consists of digits, symbols, and Latin letters." But yes, still totally gambling
I wonder if it's from one of these sites, that sell locked .DAT files for you to try and hack into: https://allprivatekeys.com/wallet.dat
I have some DAT, was worth around 100$ at ATH, no its fallen and never recovered... I call it dormant, because dead sounds a bit harsh :-)
In any other time of my middle-aged life, I would've laughed. This is pulling all the strings in CURRENTYEAR. Truth: zipsters really are getting back to the roots out of sheer economic necessity. Sadness: We have so much potential to flip this shit and make a better world; but now we're repressed, and have literally locked ourselves to out desks for years. Told endlessly that human contact is murder. Hilarious: IMMA TRADE MA HOUSE FOR DAT ASS. Fear: This one's personal, but I just got done talking about how I ended up homeless with no van, no girl, and no tech. You never really get over that. Relief: Man, I'm over the moon that OP is gonna be ok for a while.
Some dormant DAT and ETN from ancient 2014 or so....
I can’t wait until he finds the drive, opens that .DAT file, and realizes he spent all his BTC on some weed
DAT! I had close to 100$ worth of it... not its not worth the time it takes to write that post ;-)
People downvoting the post already, that's r/cc in a nutshell. Don't even read the post. JUST DOWNVOTE DAT BITCH, lmao. Oh well, it's just reddit not real life, right?
I bet they have a dedicated team trying to take those BTC more lucrative than sending cops out with radar guns to get them some pocket money. Scummy American justice system. Wheres the justice when it pays them to jail you. That's insane to me and no wonder usa prisons are flooded with non violent criminals other nations would rehab not punish. But usa is like GET DAT MONEY MONEY get that. Lets not even start on the other fundamental freedom a free health care service. America isn't free its an ant colony captitol hill is the main Ant hill. Everyone's job is to make as much as possible and feed the capitol hill. Feed the army ants building new nests abroad. But you can carry a gun around so you are free people no the police are free people shoot first thats the freedom of a armed population cope presume everyone's armed and they scared so shoot first and get away with it often. Only the govt is free in USA free to do whatever they like collecting high taxes and using them to pay the world into submission. Just like China. Are they free? Yeah free to earn money and pay taxes.
Yeah, for any project of course something like DAU / DAT (daily active transactions) etc. do matter. Especially for adoption rates early on. My point is really just, focus on the tech, and when it comes time to actually launch something it's probably worthwhile to work with someone on the business development side because, well, there's the old adage about when to plant a tree. To some extent timing releases of products is incredibly important, but it's also very easy to over-analyze and be fearful of releasing, especially when it's in a field with such volatility. Sometimes it might be best to have organic small growth since it helps with troubleshooting, beta testing, etc.
Hope you’re filthy rich soon. Not familiar with DAT files. Do they usually contain keys also?
I had a couple coins, DAT and ETN, that went dead, or dormant in a vegetative state ;-) I still keep them for nostalgic reasons. Doge, as we all now had an insane run up that no one predicted, so you never now... GOOOO DAT! GOOOO ETN! :-)
Now DAT is what pisses me off. While I am kicking myself for not getting my dumb tiny swing account out of crypto and getting greedy when I saw peak signs (Coinbase was #1 on the App Store yikes) I had a feeling buying at those insane all time highs would not be a wise move. And yet I felt like one of 6 people not mindlessly hollering at folks to just keep buying cause LuL because we can’t predict the peak that means we must keep buying no matter what. When people mindlessly tell ya to just keep buying when stuff has multiplied several times in the span of weeks, that’s when you know greed is in full force and you need to be careful. I remember it happening not long after I joined in February so I knew it was just a matter of time. Ideally folks who joined and have stuck around now know better but it’s sad how greed takes over without fail no matter how many times folks get burned.
What you think are fundamentals "real world adoption", "momentum of the project", "price technicals" are irrelevant when it comes to evaluating what protocol to use. For me, evaluating Nano vs other networks is like evaluating IPFS vs DAT, or TCP vs UDP, etc. It's about their technical capabilities and what they are conceptually and operationally capable of. I presumed you are a speculator and not a developer in this space based on your comments. My apologies if I jumped to the wrong conclusion.
How do I open a Bitcoin wallet DAT file? Just download bitcoin core wallet and COPY your wallet. dat to bitcoin wallet directory. When asked should you replace existing one (as there will be new wallet. ... Download Bitcoin Core. Sync blockchain - This will take a couple days. Stop Bitcoin Core. Replace wallet. ... Restart Bitcoin Core. See old coins.
DAT, that stuff had a promising use case at first (companys pay for your data), then disapeared into the neverland... Anybody remember that one?
2014, now holding ETH, BTC and BAT Somewhere there are some DAT and ETN... But they are dormant :-)
I have two of them in my wallets: DAT (whatever happened to this one, some any insight?) ETN (Still getting some noise from time to time on reddit...)
Ton of coins have very good usecase, for example BAT with its own browser that uses the coin for advertising, or ETN that uses its coin to pay for freelance work or back in the days DAT that used its coin to manage data... You see lots of them have a reason to exist, so e if them are purely for speculation and can be considered scams...
Great post! Still holding some DAT (anyone remember that one? Getting paid for your data?) and ETN (something something mobile phone?). Whatever happens to UIS (uniteus or something? The one coin on all algorithms?)?
