I linked Coinbase to Coinledger. Coinledger then pulls the transactions into it's system, as well as from any other exchanges I might have used. My guess is that it then organizes the transactions by FI/FO.

The problem is that quantum computer can derive the private key from the public key of the address. They would introduce new kind of address with resistant key encryption that cannot be broken by quantum computers, but you would still need to manually transfer your funds from your non-quantum computer resistant address to your new quantum computer resistant address. I can only speak for any decentralised youtube alternative, as that's my main interests. Fb can FO for all I care. Tho a decentralised alternative as you explained would get my attention. Would I used it regularly? Hard to say, as I think some days I'm a bit old school. Saying that. I was a big fan of the old online Forums on many topics. For many a years. Back the YT Alternatives. I looked into three out of interest. One looked promising, yet looks like some government or political body had it closed down. The second looked OK. But it's traffic looked very slow on any topic of my interests. The third looked like it was just to complicated. On paper it looked interesting. But its user friendlyness, in my opinion was low. If it's purely for geeks, then fire away. But the rest of us normals. It's a big turn off and I can see suffer for it.

I’m not a purist or anything. I played some FO3 on PC 5-6 years ago, but then my saves got corrupted a few hours before the end of the main story. And I just played FO4. I know that New Vegas is loved by many but it’s not on ps4 I think and I can’t be arsed to play on pc anymore so I don’t think that I’ll have the opportunity to play it sadly. 3 was liked more than the 4th. The 4 is a bit more “clean”, the karma system changed a bit and your choices don’t have an impact as big as in the previous games. Myself I liked them equally, I just love the universe and gameplay.
One FO cable handles enough traffic to decommission all of the copper cables it competes with. Maintaining the copper cables (and electronics) isn’t cost effective. I imagine the cables are still there, but unused and unmaintained. If the copper cables were accessible, they’d have been “mined” for their intrinsic value when copper got expensive awhile back. Lots of copper was “mined” out of streets and neighborhoods and it paid for a lot of FO cable to replace it.
I knew the newer lines are all FO, but was under the impression we still use a lot of really old lines from the 70's and 80's today. Either way, good to know.
Just a comment.... Undersea cables are generally fiber optic. FO is immune to ESD at all levels. There are electronics interfacing the FO cables which are susceptible, but easier to shield as they are a small component compared to an entire cable running hundreds or thousands of kilometers.
