>GREED It's more, the love of their power and control, than greed. Past a certain point you have all the material wealth you could desire, and I'm certain Munger is well past that point. So then you naturally start to pursue power and control over others. Munger loves having power and control and people to listen to his cantillionaire ass. Take away that money printer at the Fed and ole Munger has to compete for power and control like everyone else...and he'll lose...and then no one would care what the old fart has to say...that's what terrifies him in his old age. Loss of his power and control.

Actually most of the time, in bull markets mistakes can be tolerated. There’s a reason for “ every one is a genius in a bull market” but in bear markets mistakes are deadly. However fear and greed are not mistakes they are what makes a market. As well as, FEAR > GREED

Absolutely. Many people bought in the $50K range, because $100K was ''inevitable''. Well, that $100K never happened. That is why i advice you to DCA weekly or monthly and ignore the price. Humans get very emotional about this thing called money, it's called GREED. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick method. It is very volatile and runs in four year cycles because of the halvings. Basically two years up (bull run) and two years down (bear market). But the overall trend so far is up.

There's a saying, he who fails to plan, plans to fail. Depending on your risk appetitte, I think it's important to shut out Youtubers who fervently shill and quote unrealistic targets. Make the most by buying in early on low cap gems such as TRG and CULTDAO - listed on MEXC and Huobi; take profits as price climbs up, for unrealized profit is not profit. And always be on guard against GREED

The one thing that is 100% for sure is GREED. There are always going to be new people thinking they will get rich quick. Those are the ones that will make the DCA people rich. It is a cycle and it comes and goes. Timing that is impossible but exiting your position when you're up and taking profits is the simplest math on the planet. If you want out and you're up that's your decision. Enjoy what you've made and hopefully it is lifechanging or opens other possibilities for you.

>Do you even have a theory as to why it wouldn't get worse? Do you even have a valid theory for why it WOULD? Listen, your post is insulting up and down enough it doesn't deserve a reply. But I will answer the first question. My reason for why it wouldn't make things worse is it wouldn't change all that much. Everything you described already goes on in a massive scale. If we added blockchain technology the player base can at least see what is going on.... the same way I was able to see what was going on when I was a GM at Blizzard, and then ban accounts. My only point is GREED IS ALREADY THERE, crypto isn't gonna bring more greed to a place it's already rampant. Then you have to factor in people will only flock to the game for greed reasons if it's making hand over fist. Presumably people who play for greed would still just farm wherever they make the most, *Crypto may not make the most* inherently. Maybe WoW gold is still more valuable. It means the farmers *stick with WoW.* So my main point is we aren't inviting anything in we don't already have, except were adding a layer of accountability the entire player base could presumably parse for illicit activity in a way they can't currently do. I view this as a better thing than what we currently have.

the point here is … GREED made you do something you said you “would not do”. Greed made you break your own safety rule. (not trade). - it’s likely that you will do that again, b/c you’ve already broken your rule. / the longer this runs in time, the more oppty there will be for greed to taunt you again & you’ll eventually cave… again. And there’s no guarantee it will end the same way. Eventually it won’t. - IMO, time is not on your side & greed will mess with your plan.

Now, those of us that KNOW not to trust centralized exchanges, and understand that decentralized assets like BTC are NOT the problem, the underlying blockchain tech is NOT the problem, but your GREED was the problem.. those of us that know that.. we aren't going anywhere.. we're just sitting on our sats in our cold storage wallets, and using DeFi if we need anything...but I have to say, you guys have managed to do in 1 year, what mainstream media and tradfi has been trying to do for years. Click-bait title...these "currencies" can not be used as payment since the fiat value is arbitrary. If it goes x100 in a bull market no one will want to sell. It it goes - 90% in a Bear market no one will want to buy. The bull-bear cycles are really just a side effect of asset bubble that are created when central banks go QE insanity. Wash trading, scams, whale- trade liquidations and extreme (ridiculous) leverage are part of this industry. On the bright side, if you buy it low enough, there will probably be bigger fools buying from you some day down the road. From what I have learned, there will always be bigger fools, and they become dumber with each cycle (ie Shiba, Doge). As long as GREED and Corruption are part of the human nature, and regulation doesn't arrive..new all time highs will be created with each QE cycle. SO..Don't fool yourselves with value propositions. You want a 10x and cash it out to the next bag holder..

The scientific community vs bankers. The difference between the two is a culture that disincentivizes greed and incentivizes objectivity. You clearly aren’t thinking this through. > Of course it is. Trust is a facade of truth. Verification is actual truth. What nonsense. Again, WHO IS DOING THE VERIFICATION? You keep ignoring this. If you are implying that individual end users should be verifying their own transactions and you intend to run THE GLOBAL ECONOMY like this then you’re just an idiot, sorry. If you’re implying that some algorithm is doing it, then it has to be built and standardized by some entity that is ultimately vulnerable to greed. > Pretty big 'if', don't you think? "If you didn't have to verify, there would be no problem!" I don’t even know what the fuck you’re saying here. Trusted entities verify against fraud, but also others things like user errors and are able to reverse transactions in such cases. For many people, they are generally able to trust without verifying themselves. Like…this happens everyday for many people. So yeah, when the system works, it works. We clearly have very different definitions of "crypto". >BTC was designed to be a currency but practically nobody uses it that way, instead opting for a store of value. Why do you think that is? the only Fi that matters in the crypto space is DeFi. everything else is a trap. every OG has been preaching "not your keys....." FOREVER. those that still decided to play centralized games because of "reasons" are at the mercy of their own stubbornness. the ignorant folks are learning first hand why we prefer trustless protocols to eliminate human nature: erroneous mistakes that can happen and good old fashioned GREED. this cycle will repeat itself until properly regulated. unfortunately our gov't is just as greedy and has been in bed with SBF and pricks like him with mal-intentions in OVER-regulating the space where only the rich could play in it freely.

Thats with anything TBH including the stock markets and everything..... One reason I am against crypto being "regulated" threw the government/"proper channels". Adoption only comes when the mass adopt it not when the "elite" adopt it..... Blackrock is another example as they are considered the "real government of USA". not one of these entities and I mean NOT ONE is worth the exchange they would give for "Mass adoption". No thanks. Mass adoption was coming rather these entities got involved or not. What every is "concerned about" is the amount of time it would take, most know that would not come in "our lifetime" so they would sacrifice what crypto is all about just to make gains in FIAT which is the whole reason most go into crypto in the first place so many years ago....yet here we are letting GREED once again take over and destroy what little light is at the end of the tunnel from tyrannical oppression threw economic terroisim/warfare.

I just want the people that make the rules and regulations to live in, understand and abide by their own rules.. While not limiting retail wealth.. Because at the end of the day, that's what it's all about.. Limiting wealth to give it to those that already have it. Once we can get past this major flaw, we can begin to rebuild a better society.. One where everyone has the same opportunities and securities from birth. Money creates this kind of life and with constant interference and manipulation from the people we're clearly supposed to trust, how would that governance benefit the very people that it was created for? The problem is and will always be GREED. You limit it from others, you get an insatiable appetite for more. You let others have it, you get an insatiable appetite for more. Why? Because it was limited and stolen since the 1920s from retail via algo bullshit lies and manipulation.. Today, we see the exact same scenario. The world won't forget these kinds of lifelong actions taken and will act accordingly. (greed) Do you think Forbes entrepreneurs are concerned about money? No.. Do they donate and help others? Yes. It's clear what has to happen here.. and it starts and ends in the political arena. Let me say this one last thing.. If you fuck with the average working population long enough.. Eventually you won't be able to any longer and you'll have a massive irreversible issue of violence towards eachother. And guess what.. Our governments do that too via war.. Money see, monkey do. The end.

It was sold to people as independent money away from the system . Then it was sold to elites to get around the system . Then that idea was sold to originals that this " was a good thing it brought more money into the ecosystem . Then the elites sold the investors on it being regulated because " it a good thing and will legitimize btc". Now here we are still with a debate about if the government will allow its use . And all the while if it had been left to the regular citizens of the world peer to peer as intended the value would have still gone up some . It would have stayed pure . We would still had been free . And it could have been used as originally intended . Maybe one day we will get back to that but right now it's been basterdized by GREED.

You're welcome. I enjoy helping people, but I am not an expert either. Just a long time user here. > How do you go about learning all that you know? I follow people much, much smarter than me. Twitter, Discord servers, telegram channels. There are lots of useful resources available (plenty of scammers as well, beware). Being dead honest here - money & wealth are a powerful incentive to learn. And also, I guess it depends how passionate you are. I enjoy most things about tech in general, so I probably find it more enjoyable to spend my time in this space than someone who isn't that keen on it. > which crypto token do you think has the best protocol and most efficiency in capturing all the blockchain benefits in future Just personal beliefs here, obviously I might be wrong, as you said nobody can predict it precisely, but I think biggest talent in all of crypto at the moment is focused on ETH and everything ETH-related (sidechains, layer2s, zk etc.) Although ETH as a main network is currently slow and expensive, people are tiredlessly buidling ways to overcome those and we have functional solutions available already, BUT not yet quite ready for full mainstream adoption. It really resembles the beginning of the internet era. We have the infrastructure, it's a bit unstable and there are still lots of critics, but in this rhytm it's unlikely we won't see the applications get better and better in years to come. In the same time, I could spend hours writing about the bad stuff too - GREED. Greed is the #1 problem, not only in crypto, but in the whole world (VCs, dirty games, behind-the-doors deals, rugpulls, thefts, manipulation, retail always gets rekt etc). I firmly believe that we need to have some safer environment sooner than later, but in the same time never give up the fundamental idea of decentralization. As for BTC, I was involved with it since 2013. No, not a millionaire, not even close. I was younger and stupid back then. I did however earn just enough to survive all these 9-10 years and I have some leftovers from mtgox proceedings which is TBA soon(tm). I was a 'bounty hunter' and still am. Basically, I gathered free crypto by signing up for campaigns, promotions (back when btc was worth peanuts almost every new company was giving it away for singing up or various easy tasks) and for the past 2 years, airdrop hunting on defi protocols. I believe BTC is the king and will always remain the king of crypto (in value stored). The digital gold narrative seems most likely to me. There's an ongoing thing on twitter where people believe ETH will flip BTC's marketcap. I don't think so bug I expect new ATHs in terms of USD for both in the next 3-4 years (conservatively) or 1-2 years (optimistically).

>So THAT seems like the real solution here, No, no it's not. Because if it worked by itself..... We wouldn't be in this mess to begin with! The punishment has to be so heinous so as to disincentives it being worth breaking the laws to test the resolve of the system. BOTH things are equally as important as each other and without each other are meaningless in bringing about effective change. We are dealing with human GREED here.... Self regulation doesn't work, slaps on the wrist does not work, public humiliation does not work, loss of station does not work, voting does not work. Self interest forces the system to become "fair" because if you break the rules..... Your dead! No do-overs, no 2nd chances, no re-spawns.... They fucked about and found out! It is not relying on people to suddenly become "good" or "perfect".... It acknowledges reality and that people will ALWAYS seek power and be greedy. It's weaponising the character traits of these people that were so detrimental to society and forcing themselves to use those traits to maintain their own life!

Post is by: ViridianZeal and the url/text [ ](https://goo.gl/GP6ppk)is: /r/CryptoCurrency/comments/uj3i1p/i_just_found_out_something_hilarious_and_thought/ It's January 2021. Bitcoin price is soaring. Bull market is in full sprint. People are optimistic and there is a lot of talk about mooning. Bitcoin price is 38,000 dollars and Fear and Greed index shows `EXTREME GREED`. Let's jump to year 2022. May 1st. A little over a year has passed. The sentiment is pessimistic. There is a lot talk about selling and waiting until "the real bottom" to buy. Lot's of negative things are hurled around regarding the totality of crypto. It's clearly a bear market. The price of Bitcoin is 38,000 dollars and and Fear and Greed index shows >!EXTREME FEAR!< ![img](eri7au6p5px81 "crypto fear and greed index") I dunno, I just thought this is really something that makes you think. I mean, it's understandable and all but makes you think about about how psychological the markets are and so on. It's all about perspective, isn't it? Prices of just about everything is rising and yet companies are declaring record profits. It is very apparent that inflation is caused by CORPORATE GREED!!

People faill to realize that no everyone can be millionaires. Its impossible. If everyone has a million dollars or is rich then everyone is poor. The issue with the system is GREED. We have enough wealth for everyone to be happy with a minimalist lifestyle and save up 50k or 100k. A lot of people would be happy just being able to afford rent for their entire lives be able to take 1 week vacation every year and save up at least 5k a year. Theybwould be stoked and blessed. The issue is the greedy demons in politics and corporations they corrupted the system to hosrde money now you have these fat oligarch demons with more money than 90% of the entire human population combined. The only fix to this issue is to create a hard limit on a global scale where no human can make more than 500million.

You know that is greed talking. When you are at ATH, you can bet GREED is strong not with just you but other MOFOs too. As the saying goes, you sell when the market is excessively greedy. Sure you don't make the highest profit, but at least you walk away with some profit. Don't be degens who don't know when to cash out from the gambling den. They never end up well.

Understanding inflation would help, also it’s plain corporate GREED: Chipotle - 26% profit increase Starbucks - 31% profit increase McDonalds - 59% profit increase She’ll/Mobile/BP - 60% profit increase General Mills - $2.1 BILLION in profits And they’re ALL raising prices

Bitcoin SHOULD be the only currency. The ONLY reason that Bitcoin does not do some of the things other currencies do is because of DEVELOPMENT POWER. So let's say you have a new good idea for crypto currency to implement. You could bring your idea to Bitcoin, where it would be vetted by the huge population of coders who work on the BTC Blockchain, then it would need 95% approval rating by all Bitcoin miners to actually be implemented. OR you could bring your crypto idea to an entirely new Blockchain, where there are much less developers, so that your idea gets implemented faster. The only reason people use other Blockchains besides Bitcoin is because of GREED. People do not want to bring their crypto ideas to a currency that they can't be "early" investors on and they don't want to be vetted by the Bitcoin developers. Bitcoin can and will do everything that the users need. It's super sad the NFT market got popular on non-btc Blockchains.. it will take a long time for people to realize that they need to go back to btc Blockchain. TLDR: Decentralized projects are only valid if there are enough people to verify the developers are doing GOOD work.. Bitcoin is the only Blockchain with a large enough population of coders and users to genuinely trust it.

You can avoid all of this (FOMO) by having an investing or trading plan before you spend a single dollar, and stick to that plan (GREED). If you are stupid, you can easily outsource intelligence by looking at what other successful traders/investors do and copy pieces of that here and there to formulate your plan once you review your risk tolerance and goals. Review every year and see how your strategy performed vs the S&P 500 or other metrics. Don't mean to sound like a dick but I get the feeling most people on here haven't spent the one or two hours it takes to formalize this stuff, it inoculates you against fomo and greed.

It simply comes down to absolute GREED. The government didn't want a damn thing to do with crypto's, UNTIL they witnessed how enormously profitable it has become. Now all of a sudden they want to sneak their shitty, corrupt, greedy, lying, worthless ass hands in it. Just like they always do.

This is something I've been hearing since the second Obama Administration. GREED is what attracts people to bitcoin. But below that, it's quietly spreading freedom. It's a Trojan Horse. Be patient. Long way to go.

It is not the FED having control off crypto my friend, it is pure GREED that took control and we are all to blame for that.

Maybe we don't hate the idea of the Fed or the job they are supposed to do. Maybe, just maybe the corruption of the Fed by special interests is the problem? Maybe having big money control our politicians and buy the Rule of Law is the problem. It certainly is for me. The Fed tolerated United Bank forging checks on my account to hide the banks actions. The Fed ignored the FACT that United Bank refused to send HELOC statements claiming they didn't keep them. The FED did nothing as United Bank slandered credit on small business owners, sent manufactured statements via their own defense discovery. Don't give me BS about how I should not hate the FED. The Fed was supposed to be regulating this f*****g bank. They refused to. Of course Richard M. Adams was President and CEO of United Bankshares INC of which United Bank was a wholly owned subsidiary (which the President of was Richard M. adams JR yep his son) of the forged check, manufactured statements, check kiting with what appeared to be evidence of money laundering and at the same time a GOVERNOR of the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank. Yet then we should not hate the Fed? You aren't serious are you. I wish they all drown in their showers. They are run by GREED. They have no loyalty to our country. No ethics. No respect for the Rule of Law. Zero empathy. GREED GREED GREED. And yes before you say anything yeah I have Damn F*****G PROOF. Only found in the defense discovery evidence AFTER my lawyer went to work for a firm that was under retainer to United Bankshares. I think fraud on the court but oh yeah someone would have to give a crap and actually do something.
