I just dedicate a minimum of 30 minutes - 1 hour per day to check coins, Before a boom they are not going to be listed in exchanges like coinbase or binance, when they are listed there, most of the time, it is too late and you are not going to have a x100. Coingecko or coinmarketcap are good places, check the coins with low marker cap, check them in ethscan, bscscan, ftmscan, etc. I check how many holders there are (If there are only 1000 or even 5000 is not mature yet so can die or stuck in a price). Then I enter in their discord/website/telegram and check if they are active and motivated or it is just a dead community. Check also the roadmap, if there are a good quantity of holders but in the roadmap they didn't do marketing yet, for me it is a good signal that the price can boom. Check the liquidity pools, if there are already a good liquidity means that there are holders that believe in the coin and they will probably stack the coins there for a while (So it will be a fixed support level). Check what the coin is created for, it is like the stock market a little bit if you believe in the idea and think can sell in the future buy their coin. For example I bought ZOO coin in the FTM network. they are a Dex that look in all the other dex like spiritswap, spookyswap, sushiswap, etc and find the best route for give you the best price. I believe it is a good idea and soon more similar dex will come, so for me it was a good invest (Risky because still is an immature project). So basically if you are looking for a boom coin, check how to set metamask, how to set up different networks. Use CEXs like binance for buy the coin that you are going to trade and send them to your metamask and start to trade. Learn how to read the contract information in the scans, for example if you see a coin that the wallet address of the creator is holding a big %, avoid it, check if they have burnt coins, make a little buy and sell to avoid scam coins (There are lots of scam coins where you can buy but not sell), and check the holders if there are lots of whales that can drop the price. I have done all of this and made good profit in little coins, of course it is lucky as well and we are in bull market so it is easier. Doing that I have done a huge % profit in coins like DOBO (1000% profit), SHIBA Fantom (600%), Spore (800%), Death token (300%), ProjectMars (200%), ZooCoin (300%) and Spirit (300%). I buy and sell usually in this types of coins so I get profit and reinvest for do more profit. If you are looking for a boom, just research and find a few coins like that buy whatever you can afford, and hold and wait. Holding for me it is more a lottery and you need luck + your research. Yep, I staked for $2000 in the pool and I ending up selling and got back $1250, a loss of ~$750. I bought ZOO at $1.5 and it dropped to $0.5 shortly after which is unlucky. It has stayed at this level for weeks so I could've earned a good amount if I had bought it at the 0.5 level. I basically bought at the worst time. Thankfully it represents less than 1% of my net worth so I don't care but lesson learned! I'm now earning interest on stablecoins only so I don't lose a dime :)
The FTM community was really excited about the official NFT marketplace, Artion. It did come out but let's face it, it still has loads of issues. Currently the most usable marketplace on Fantom is from Paintswap. Their token BRUSH had a big pump recently with the release of an even better v2 of their marketplace, but who's to say it's not gonna go up further from here. There is also a platform called ZOO for selling and minting NFTs. The ZOO ecosystem has been around since the beginning, you could say they are one of the OGs of FTM
