Not that clear, but on TUES 18NOV25, it held the lower channel line - it tailed below it, but closed above it. Most likely it will continue to ride the lower channel line. Analyst upgrades and price target increases (not that I expect any) will most likely not have any positive impact. We have seen that in the recent history. A good movie won't do much either, but a Taylor Swift intervention would drive it up at least temporarily. The Q4 earnings report coming in FEB26 could be the savior. If you are holding above 3.00, write some covered calls that expire before FEB26 at 3.00 or above. 2.00 will be a thick support line.

As someone that also has shares selling them, especially with that low average, was not a great idea. Whenever they pop I sell covered calls then they drop and I buy back my calls for a fraction of what they were worth. The most shares I've ever had was 900, the least 400. But I've made over $2500 in premiums selling covered calls and buying them back. RIVN has been so volatile lately you can buy and sell the same call on the same day for money. And since your average is so low who cares if they actually get sold, you make a little extra on the premium. Sold NOV7 15.5 calls for $57 each, bought them back for $7. Sold Nov7 15 calls for $50, bought them back for $6. On Monday I'll probably sell 15.5s again for a week or two out. If they sell then I lose my shares at a profit plus some premium. If they don't I'll just make money on the premium and hold for when they go up again which they will.

why the fuck do you guys buy the most expensive options at earnings without protective puts like instead of paying 5.6 for 15c when the stock is at 15 you could straddle 14 or 15 for NOV 21 for a total cost of about 2 per straddle which would give you complete downside protection and let you roll those options out longer after earnings the IV is only like 70-80 on this stock crazy low for something this volatile and you dont have to worry about theta decay its either going to pump or dump you could also sell OTM puts and use the premium to buy any options so you at least own the shares if it crashes I mean selling a 15p gives the same exact cost you paid actually more so could also make money two ways if you really plan on holding til 2027 I almost never buy naked calls especially in this environment
