Most of the shipping stocks have traded "up" with big fat dividends because of the Israeli Palestinean war and the Houthi effectively stopping traffic through the Suez, and are "down" on news of a ceasefire. If this is your first time in shipping stocks (and I've been in them over 10 years) it's probably a good idea to look at the ETF BOAT, which has Hafnia and 20 or so others, many of whom pay big dividends and contribute to BOATs 10+% yield. Currently it trades at near an "all time low", around $26, but it didn't exist back in 2015-2019, when it probably would have traded at $2/share, based on my comparable investments during that period. Don't put all your money in just one boat (derp). So what's a good time to buy? I'm nibbling at these prices, writing cash covered puts. But I'm also going in eyes wide open, that BOAT could lose 90% overnight. If it hit $2, I'd be buying with both fists.

I generally invest in ETFs, mostly VOO and VOO variations. I invest in some other ETFs, like SCHD and BOAT, more specific sectors/industries/stocks. I also invest in a few individual stocks because why not. I think the best strategy is to hold stocks long term and invest in VOO etfs as many will say. I am not a professional at all, this is just what has worked for me.
