BOAT seems like a solid choice if you don't want to pick individual stocks. It also seems to be a mix of dry shipping and tankers and have a heavy weighting on Asian shipping companies which I dont have exposure to personally. But it's got a PE of 7, nearly 6% dividend yield, and is up 67% ytd. Definitely not a bad bet by any means, even if I think you'd probably do better with individual stock picking personally

BOAT ETF or their top holdings is where I'd look if I wanted to a way to trade this thesis (I really have not looked into this though). There's also SEA, but that covers air cargo as well. BDRY and BWET are based around futures contracts. I think OP's thesis is shit (no offense OP), but I'm kind of failing to see how shipping and logistics problems are bullish.. Like I say haven't looked into it, but shipping is undeniably essential to the world economy. Spitballing, but if you could argue they are beaten down or the cargoes will command premiums I could see a play there. On the other-hand you have risk of physical assets, because of the war as well. IDK I've only spent like 30 minutes looking into this, but if you are looking for tickers I'd recommend looking through BOAT or SEA top holdings or just buying the ETFS. FRO, top holding in BOAT, looks solid enough with a glance at their stats if OP's thesis sparked something in you. Obviously not finical advice, do your own DD, and I think this could go either way.. but I'm actually considering opening a place holder position in FRO or BOAT honestly. Added to watch-lists at least.

interesting. I didn't know they profit from the Suez Canal issues. I tough it was mainly because of the sanctions on Russia and the destruction of Nord stream 2. As of today at 60 NOK per share I keep it but indeed its not my best investment so far.the funny thing is that I keep reinvesting the dividend into the stock it's really a two edge strategy but its okay it's maybe 5% of my stock portfolio. Most of the shipping stocks have traded "up" with big fat dividends because of the Israeli Palestinean war and the Houthi effectively stopping traffic through the Suez, and are "down" on news of a ceasefire. If this is your first time in shipping stocks (and I've been in them over 10 years) it's probably a good idea to look at the ETF BOAT, which has Hafnia and 20 or so others, many of whom pay big dividends and contribute to BOATs 10+% yield. Currently it trades at near an "all time low", around $26, but it didn't exist back in 2015-2019, when it probably would have traded at $2/share, based on my comparable investments during that period. Don't put all your money in just one boat (derp). So what's a good time to buy? I'm nibbling at these prices, writing cash covered puts. But I'm also going in eyes wide open, that BOAT could lose 90% overnight. If it hit $2, I'd be buying with both fists.

I bought the dip to $15.38 just over a month ago. I don't understand why we shame robinhood for halting GME as if they weren't pressured/forced into it. Also - this dip was because of RH shutting down their 24/7 trading when NVDA was -16% overnight. their 24/7 execution venue "BOAT" was the culprit, yet robinhood stock tanked 20%? It seemed extremely oversold, almost like an algo sell off predicting it was another GME halt that would instill the masses to hate the stock and yell corruption.
