Hey man, great analysis. There’s a growing case that NVIDIA was the undisclosed institutional investor behind Quantum-Si’s $50 million private placement announced on July 3, 2025. The structure of the deal is such that of one institutional investor purchasing roughly 29.9 million shares and “common-stock equivalents” at $1.67 per share. So basically imo, the reason why this NVIDIA rumors even came about was because of its strong parallel to RXRX situation back in 2023. QSI started with a collaboration in 2024 with NVIDIA which show they already had a foothold there. Considering how QSI semiconductor is such an important feature of their platform (proteus) set to be their biggest game changer product at end of this year as a prototype, a reveal of NVIDIA would not come as a huge surprise. Basically, this $50m investment in Quantum-Si KIND of closely mirror the $50 million investment NVIDIA made in Recursion Pharmaceuticals (RXRX) in July 2023, where it acquired about 7.7 million shares, or roughly 4 % of the company. In Recursion’s case, the stake size was large enough to be strategic but small enough to stay below the 5 % beneficial-ownership threshold that requires a Schedule 13D filing. The same pattern fits Quantum-Si’s situation: no 13D or 13G was filed by NVIDIA, implying the investor’s effective ownership was likely capped below 5 %, perhaps around 3 or 4 %, achieved through pre-funded warrants or convertible instruments. (Note that on the announcement, it very explicitly mentioned COMMON STOCK EQUIVALENTS as well which most people would have likely missed. However, on the technical aspects, I agree that 10 USD could be high, but this is likely not the case imo. If you noticed in the recent 2 weeks, the volume has been rather "insane". Over 25million on normal days and over 15 million even on bad days for a SMALL CAP stock no less. I'm not sure if this was because of my post 2 weeks ago that caught people or institutions attention. In any case, I would just preface by saying that 10 USD/stock is high on a technical standpoint (you are right on this). However, there is a very good chance it will go close to it on the "innovative hype" alone coupled with NVIDIA reveal (if this was actually true). Note that there is no other public company on the same level as Quantum-Si dealing with proteomics with such a strong balance sheet and near-term catalyst in November. I will not be surprised if this makes a huge move soon with such monster volume.

It’s KIND of like a call option on a smaller scale. Basically it has an expiration date where it becomes worthless, and it lets you exercise to buy shares at a fixed price. It doesn’t have the 1 contract to 100 shares ratio though. (When i had warrants, they were 1:1 but i’m not sure if that’s ALWAYS the case)

I bought OPEN around 70 cents recently and think it has the potential to be the next CVNA. My past hit was buying AMD at an average of $2 in 2015 and offloading it at $150 around 2021 (also gains with Tesla). I think KIND (Nextdoor stock) also has some potential to 10x - 100x.

In my history 2 mo ago you see me writing about shorting RDDT because it's a cesspool that can't possibly abide a business model. It was my first ever short of a stock and I called that one right. I had long said if it ever went public I would do so, but somehow missed the news that it went public last year. I couldn't believe it broke 200. If RDDT is in a top most visited category anywhere ([I don't see it here](https://www.visualcapitalist.com/the-50-most-visited-websites-in-the-world/)), that's because a portion of its membership are reddit addicts with millions in 'karma' -- they and the site's bots constitute a significant portion of "visits." This mountain of leftists and misguided youths in a chatroom will never return value for the advertisers, and that will become clear to them sooner or later just as it has with KIND (because KIND has the same problem as RDDT just not quite as bad.) Pretty sure that's why today's news about new AI tools led to a short-lived pump and dump; most investors see this sham of a company for what it is. I wanted to say something similar. Here's a person who wasn't in the blue column for the election but who clearly has a mind of their own; i.e. they're not just spouting conservative talking points and refusing to believe facts. They've shared their perspective and it's rational. I might not agree with them and think many critical priorities are missing. But, THIS IS THE KIND OF PERSON TO LISTEN TO if you're a liberal wanting to actually make "an economy that works for everyone", and to build and expand a coalition instead of being angry at everyone who isn't already in your camp. Take the trump likes farmers comment and the bailouts from his first term's trade war fiasco. To a liberal like me, it's baffling how any farmers still support trump and I make my worldview make sense by just figuring that it must be the conservative media machine, tribalism and low-information voters. But this person doesn't fit those categories and they shared a very simple and reasonable thought: whatever the politics and but-trump-caused-the-problem-in-the-first-place, they were supported and kept afloat. Add that to the repeated comments about farmers having it rough through decades of both sides and you get a simple to understand picture that doesn't run counter to any liberal values. Deliver for people in a personal, practical sense. I could list a bunch of policies Democrats support and accomplishments from Obama and Biden that help everyone, including farmers, but clearly that hasn't broken through, so I'm left to ask what I'm missing.

They fundamentally have a losing model. Their shedding subscribers at a rapid rate. It's just a fad. Sell before it goes to or becomes a pennie stock, a good comparison is KIND. These are stocks that should never have gone public, but for the good publicists hired by VCs who just wanted to rip off retail investors.

Maybe this will help understand why I moved it and where they didn't follow our agreement: My advisor suggested selling small bits at a time, since he knew I wanted to hold those stocks for the long haul. Thus, no harm in selling 5 or 10% when it's very high. That was the plan. His suggestion to move it to him (other than of course he now makes something off it) was to allow him to do those small sales at peak times BECAUSE he knew the tax implications of the bulk of our funds with him. Thus, sell small bits when it's most beneficial at peak and/or tax-wise. He knew and we discussed several times that this bucket of funds was "mine to play with" for lack of a btr term and I'd done very well with those stock and planned on continuing to do so. He was only going to sell small bits at a time and I would continue to hold them... then they sold them all without discussing it with me. Not sure there's any new details in there from what I originally posted but if so, maybe it changes your opinion on how a judge would see this--maybe not. Just looking at options and assuming I'll have to let it go, since they didn't do anything illegal. Just didn't keep our repeated agreement. It seemed to me "NO TAXES ON THIS TRANSFER IN KIND!" to several of their team to me meant: don't sell it except as VP and I agreed. Didn't know I had to use those words in that order, but it seemed like I did... and then they did what they saw best.

If ur buying a call, make sure it's longer then 1 week expiry for Nvidia because it just randomly drops for 0 reason like it did these past 2 days Calls r pretty much your buying the option to buy the shares at the strike price so if it's higher then the strike price your making money .... If u buy 140 strike price and it goes to 145 then when it expires it will buy 100 shares (per contract) at 140$ OR you can SELL the option and sometimes make money off the premium Premium value is higher with the longer it has to expiry date, and it decays the whole time until it's expiry date The calls for this week we're like 2$ today or something and by Friday they're going to be like 60c ( in this example- I'm ignoring the drop today and I'm just pretending like it stayed at 140$ for 5 days straight) They were higher on Monday and they lose value until it's expiry date you see. Longer expiry dates are safer because some bs like today can happen the exact same thing has happened in June 18 and I got r*ped With a longer call it's safer cuz if it drops it has more time to go up or surpass what it's at when you got the option, but you gotta be careful because theta is more impactful since the premiums are way higher...... If u get a call for next year March it's probably 10$ or something (I'm not sure this is just an example ) and it will be decaying until that day, if it stays at this same price then theta will fuck u and it will be worth 1 or 2$ in march........ It's gonna have to surpass that by like 5 or 10$ probably in order for you to make profit Options r pretty insane cuz there's all the Greeks that influence the price of the premium - if you got a 145 call and it stays at 130 until the day that it expires then shoots up even past 145 let's say like 147 you can still loose 80% 90% of it because of theta Best strat I think is getting longer calls 2 weeks minimum but that's even risky and if it goes up like 20% sell it that day cuz you cannot time the market idc who you are it's literally all a bunch of guessing and gambling let's be honest Puts are KIND OF similar but it's still a bit different I think. And idk how covered calls work which sucks cuz coulda made $ off this stagnation

Same $10 in, but taxes take that money right away, so the account only gets a deposit of $6.50-$7.80 (likely closer to the lower number because your tax burden is greater while you have income). Now let’s say it grows 2x again to $14 for round math. Now, when you take it out, you don’t have to pay tax on it. 4. When people in this sub say the retirement account hasn’t done much for them throughout a period of sustained economic growth, it usually means the account has money sitting in it that was never actually invested in anything, and is just having fees taken out. You should look at this. 5. The second word of the account description is the KIND of account it is. The 457b and 401k are Employer-sponsored. That means they pay the administrative fees. Now, some employers are shitty, and in an effort to make the plan cost less, will load up your only options with high-fee funds that take money out of the account in order to manage it. Expense ratios are a quick way to end up with no growth in your account. So the 7 years is because they don’t want to be paying the administrative fees for someone who doesn’t work there. 6. You can roll a 457b into an IRA which stands for Individual Retirement Account. Basically the same thing except you are paying the administrative fee. In exchange, you typically get MUCH better choices with lower fees taken by the funds. This is probably what she should do. Without more specifics, we can’t make actual recommendations. But most people should roll it into a Traditional IRA. 7. Keep in mind her age will matter here. She will be required to take Required Minimum Disbursements. 8. Annuities are usually for people who have otherwise maxed out all of their other retirement savings. 9. Your mom is probably also eligible for catch-up contributions to a retirement account. She should be maxing those before considering an annuity. Annuities have high fees, as a general matter. 10. Fees kill retirements. You need real financial advice, not reddit.
