Your view that China produces cheap things is very antiquated. They have all the expertise to produce the best products. See Tim Cook's interview where he talks about this. You can't out-manufacture China. They have all the technical know-how and technology to put in place a large production at scale. If US wants to bring back production on US Soil, it'll take a 5 years, and the first iPhones, tablets, TVs, shirts, jeans you name it, will all cost double or triple the price.
