Ugh time to drag out my Kucoin experience. First off I live in the US and I knew the dangers of shady offline exchanges. My trading method back then was very low leverage swing trading with very little danger of liquidation. My account had been built up to the 22K area and just before the FTX drop was in 3 swing longs at 3X leverage. I'd go as far as put DCA buys at support levels and could basically average deals down to almost zero. Also had 3 leveraged grids going. First sign of trouble was twitter, big exchange going belly up get out of any longs. Went to Kucoin, and its locked up. No deals could be made. Ah well my deals are ok......................... Until the liquidation notices came in. HUH? The next day when I could see what happened I got enraged. You could clearly see price never got close to any liquidation level. I screenshotted all my deals and contacted support. Got the run around. Finally their explanation was "Phantom wicks" took out my deals. Yes they said that. 60% of my port was gone. What was really sad that yes all them deals would have been underwater, but they would have eventually closed last year. Basically said goodbye to crypto and got into indices and commodities trading thru prop firms. Worlds better and the money you can make is MUCH better with very little investment.

I had bank of scotland block my debit card and DEMAND I call them to get it unblocked. Then they basically had some dude interrogate me about EXACTLY what I was sending where. I was realllly pissed that in order to get access to my account I'd have to actually start discussing my personal finances with some random guy. The kicker was when I forgot I had sent like idk..17gbp to gemini and he was like: "So are you sure these are all the platforms you use for crypto blah blah" "Yes" "Are you 100% certain?" Posted another thread few months ago about coinmarketcap - sometimes they don't list coins as scams such as (HUH Token / MetaNet) took CMC a week to deem them while CoinGecko listed it right away.
