Personally I have been more inclined to trading on CEX especially recently due to similar experience but who knows maybe its time to do away with the old guards and give new projects a chance, take Elixir for example and other recent projects in that category, they might just be able to fix some of the problems If you're one of those guys extremely conscious about insurance, take the recent hack on Bybit that saw support from Bitget and Binance as proofs of a feasible level of insurance on CEXes not to mention some exchanges already have Protection fund and SAFU fund already for their users. This is already getting too long, I guess my point is, don't lose hope, at least not yet.

No, as long as you keep Wallet A and Wallet B entirely separate (with different passphrases and no direct interaction between the two), sharing your xpub for Wallet A should not associate Wallet B with Wallet A on the blockchain. Many who say it's not real don't really understand how systems of standardization and security work. If the threat is here, no matter how small, the security systems will need to update. The funny thing about quantum is that just like any other tech it will come to a tipping point where the progress will surge exponentially and you don't want to be on the other side of the stick if bad shit happens. I think Blockchain having a great Quantum narrative can only be a good thing since it will provide a hedge against shit that can happen. So even if banks get fucked you will still be able to have your currency SAFU. Having Blockchain as one true safe haven for your currency is kinda the narrative that got it all started and this might be good pish to secure its place there.

As an Ex-Celcius Customer. DON'T STAKE WITH A CEX. It doesn't matter how SAFU they look. Even if they have a great stock price. I was earning a decent APY on my crypto with Celcius, the CEO held weekly AMAs. Everything looked great. Now I'm looking to get back 70% of 50% of the current value of my crypto. It's not worth the risk. Look into Sushiswap pools or even native staking. Lido is also a decent option. Everything has risks. But always remember, not your keys not YOUR CRYPTO.

I like Binance UX and their liquidity. But I did notice around 6 months back when CZ tweeted Binance were about to buy BTC for the SAFU fund for transparency. It turned out they'd brought it before, not quite so transparent.

It does if you're not gaining interest after moving them. Binance already got thousands of BTC hacked once and used the SAFU program to reimburse its users by 100%. Now that fund is much, much higher so why wouldn't they use it this time as well?

Whether you are the no.1 exchange, no.10 or no.100 exchange. An exchange going under is going to hurt anyone in this spaced directly or indirectly. If Binance wants to continue to be the no.1 throne, they will have to be proactive to ensure funds are SAFU and also innovate. Trust takes years to build and only a second to break. We often mock CZ for the SAFU meme, but we also have to admit that when the time came and they had to use the SAFU fund to restitute customers they did. Take a look at LUNA for instance, they had a $1.25 billion dollars LFG (Luna Foundation Guard) that was supposed to be used during an emergency. When UST deppeged instead of using the LFG Do Kwon minted trillions of LUNA destroying the price and didn't use a single dollar from the LFG, instead he evaporated the fund into his own account and went fugitive.
