I’m right here in Singapore and there’s a lot of these clowns here because there is zero capital gain tax. Though I didn’t buy any luna, I had a similar experience with Thekey (TKY) and the CEO also lives. Add on to the fact that they are relatively safe here this means local authorities will not do anything plus no such thing as street justice here that will not land you in trouble.
I participated in this ICO for something called TKY (the key). For about 1k I bought in and got some insane deal. I think I had 1million of the asset which at its best was worth about 25K. I never sold. It's now worth about 150 bucks.

I have one of these stories. In 2018, I put 8K into TKY. It was a NEO blockchain token that ..... well who gives a fuck. Its garbage. My 8K is worth like 132 bucks today.

Who remembers The Key? TKY. Legendary NEO ico from early 2018. Literally never did anything, except relentlessly dump. For years. It's still on kucoin today. Check out the subreddit for a good laugh.

Easily most bullish on VET, so many good things happening, lots of use cases. It really feels promising. My biggest bear? Either TKY, or DRGN, no real news, terrible performance in general, both fails from what I can see.
I still have a moonshot hope that my shitcoin TKY from 2017 will be adopted by China and soar to shocking heights defying all expectation. It's not my most rational hope, but still I hodl.

I’m amazed by how short peoples’ memories are/how many people weren’t around just a few years back. I “diversified” my portfolio back then with “promising” coins like ONT and TKY. I’m still at a loss with them.

TKY wasn't exactly a winning pick.
Convinced a workmate to buy NEO at $70 after the $180 peak in Jan 2018, suggesting it was a good buy because it was going to $1,000, following ETH ATH. Long story short, NEO goes to $4, we ignore the subject for a while but sometimes he throws me comments about that fking NEO... he then forgets about the wallet in an old laptop. A month ago he kindly asks me how to recover the NEO wallet on his old water-damaged laptop, I get the HDD out, find the wallet and load it, the funds are there... next weeks my friend sees NEO at $130 and thanks me for the gains, and thanks for the free GAS accumulated as a bonus. A success story of shilling. On the other hand I sold neo at $25, bought TKY and held for 2 years to watch it make me lose 1 BTC, nearly all my bag. Moral of the story, you can yell and pursue everyone you want into buying crypto, but just tell them to commit for 5 years because if its not the market, then the money printer will do the work just fine for your investment.
TKY is a hilarious coin to own. It frequently will go up or down 50% with absolutely no rhyme or rhythm to it.
So, buy $TKY and $BLOC. Understood!

I wouldn't worry about it theres plenty of projects that are going to take off. Look at UBIX. Infantile stage and its a real project with over 100k lines of code on Github since 2017. Also its a DAG. New tech. lottery ticket for next time. 100k is only 300 bucks. I bought 100k of that one and The Key. TKY. Think identity token for a billion people in China.
BEPRO, TKY, BAX are the potential sleepers I've gotten in the past month.
Its a popular coin for 50-60% gains and then it falls off for a few days, and pumps again. I recommend it to people as a moonshot, but you either gotta be ready to jump in and out of it, or hold it and completely forget about it. It, COMB, TKY, and a few others on Kucoin just do this consistently.

For 3 years all I held was xrp, Vechain, pundi, hot, and Xlm. Luckily, these were all solid projects. By November of last year I saw a mini bull run for the first time and by December a huge dip that cut my portfolio in half. I was used to dips by then. I decided to shuffle my money on the next rise. Pundi and hot sky rocketed. I sold some and bought other projects. I even sold some xlm and xrp but have never sold Vechain. Now I have 10x from that huge dip, and realize almost all coins will have their day. You just have to sell when the gains are right for you and reinvest. Some you hodl though. Look into UBX, SHA, OCE, ZAP, TKY, XIO, XDC, SYLO, and OMI (XRP for sure!!) ALL have potential, price is low, and I hodl these... there are lots more...

Well, grats if you bought TKY when I was blabbering about it yesterday. Its moving up nice and its not uncommon for it to hit 90-120% when it starts going.
I'm watching TKY closely for when I wanna buy. I like what they are doing, and as much as I'm not a fan of the P.R.C. (yes, that PRC), these guys appear to be building the national ID chain for the P.R.C. if I'm reading their website correctly. They are formulating a blockchain ID system. If I'm right on this, that's gonna be pretty much a touchdown.

What exchanges can you trade on. Kucoin: TKY is one that's down about 50% from previous #'s, and it seems it pumps pretty hard about once every few days, a week. So if you buy it and set your sellpoints, and leave it, you'll probably hit the pumpjackpot within 7 days.
I mean, I bought TKY @ 0.005 and sold it with 160% profit, its up 230% over that point. sense makes not.
ADA getting listed on Coinbase the same day I discovered that I still have $7 of something called TKY sitting in my Neon wallet, apparently bought back in 2018 (for about $100 if I remember correctly). It's just been good news after good news!

It was crazy. Absolute shit coin and ICO suggestions being thrown around left and right with 100% confidence, pink wojacks and bogandoff twin memes everywhere. John McAfee promising to cut off and eat his own dick if Bitcoin didn't $1million. Let's just say, at the start of the bull run I weighed around 190lbs (mid-November 2017, the first coin I held that pumped was IOTA, which did a 4x) by the end I had gone through coins like ICX, OMG(this being my largest position) , some p&d called CAPP, COSS, SIA coin and more. I even filled out a KYC for some sketchy Chinese ICO called TKY or "The Key". By the end, around late February or so. I weighed 155lbs. Barely slept or ate, it was pure euphoria and stupidity. I know this didn't fully address your question but it brought back a lot of memories from that time period.
