I keep missing the $STAK dips from being scared, but it looks pretty locked down here... It's not even "bagholding" if you get stuck as it's a legitimate, profitable company. It just doesn't fit with my portfolio's strategy right now so that's why I'm hesitant... 200-day SMA is $1.31 (according to Schwab) so around there could be a solid entry. I'm hoping to load $ENIC & $ABEV today 🤙

My question is why haven’t the alcohol companies invested more in hangover prevention and safer synthetic forms of alcohol than give the same effect but no health risk/hangover. ABEV should own LiquidIV and every other major player should have their own hangover prevention thing. It’s like cigarettes if vaping and Zyn never happened.

Alcohol may be down, but I believe they will pivot. Alcohol money is old money. Could be cannabis infused drinks or something else. But just like how cigarette companies went to nicotine pouches, alcohol companies will find their thing. Check out $ABEV, 7.5% divi and Americas beer exposure.

Calls on PMI, BAT, BUD, DEO, and ABEV?

Well, you're already talking about DCA, so you're doing it right. Let's take an example where you are a simple investor, and have only 5K to put into the stock market. Should you put all 5K into the **SPY Call LEAPs due 6 Months from now?** Probably not. You would want to wait until there's at least some support before going into calls. If you're just a very basic, set it and forget it passive buyer of shares - sure, it makes sense to buy some S&P shares today. Maybe not completely the full 5K, because you also have to take into account that **TESLA has no rebound in sight,** and **tariffs are especially hurting the FAANG** companies that had a lot of international positions. An even better strategy beyond the dip is to look at companies at are being resilient right now. Truth is, tariffs hurts certain companies, **but are there companies that could gain from tariffs or avoid them altogether**? As an investor, you have to ask yourself these questions. What sectors are doing well you ask? By 1 yr performance, **communication companies** (like **AT&T)** have been impervious to the tariffs, and **Financial Sector (banks, like Chase**) have actually gone up significantly, since they're helping customers take on more debt. If you zoom in a little closer to the tariffs situation (3 months), you'll see that the sectors doing well are the **Consumer Defensive** (ie **ABEV**, lots of Latin American business), and **Utilities** (a real, un-sexy thing to have in your portfolio due to small returns)

This isn’t true at all, and shows you don’t know what you are doing and should probably do more research on investing before committing any sun of money you aren’t okay with losing. Nothing to short? There’s a massive QC bubble I could list 10 tickers that are free shorts. No longs? REITs as an entire sector has dozens of opportunities. If you think most tech is overvalued you still have ASML and maybe AMAT. Lots of companies like NKE EL INTC ADBE worth looking into (I didn’t say buy I said worth looking into) more speculative but higher upside: GRAB, GRAL, SANA, ABEV just to make a few.

r/pennystocksSee Comment

ABEV not because I believe in the company per se, but it has good fundamentals. My reasons: - It has a dividend - It’s often mentioned in Morningstar articles - Its international/Brazilian -Parent company is Anheuser-Bush I’ve been buying in little by little since 2023, currently sitting at 275 @ $2.38. Today it sits at $1.83. Probably won’t become rich from this one, but nor will it loose 90% value on a week. It’s stable to balance out my other riskier plays that usually end badly

I haven't bought any stocks in awhile because nothing seems really appealing at these valuations. Today I decided to open new positions in 2 boring stocks. 1 - $CVI which is one of Carl Icahn's bigger holdings. CVR energy is in the petroleum refining & nitrogen fertilizer producer. We'll see if their 8% dividend yield can hold up in a commodity bear market. 2 - $ABEV Ambev SA beer & pepsi distributer for Central & South America along with Canada. I don't usually like to buy penny stocks, but even in good & bad times people will still buy Budweiser, Corona, Modello, Pepsi & Mtn Dew. Plus I am looking to diversify outside of USA stocks. $ABEV currently has a 6% dividend yield but the dividend payment amount has been variable over the years and is only paid once annually.

Trying to avoid the most common answers, here are a few I like for 2023: * US Steel (X) * Ambev S.A. (ABEV) * CRISPR Therapeutics AG (CRSP) RemindMe! 12 months

* Brazil is much more stable than the DRC. Although Bolsonaro supporters like to pretend otherwise, their faction has no real power and definitely doesn't have the numbers for a military coup. * Lula will do lots of big government investments: infra, education, health, ... so there is a huge macro-economic potential * Brazil does not suffer from the Ukraine war fallout. Commodities (VALE and SID) and base products like steel have become more expensive worldwide so the big steel companies like SID and GGB are making more money already. And because Brazil has no energy crisis, the cost base is much lower. * has better relations with China so China is shifting its buying of soja to Brazil instead of the USA. * ABEV is the largest beer producer in the world and has a track record of good investing. They need to reform though but it is a solid company * VALE: I am not a fan because of the disaster they caused a few years ago but in the commodity boom, they will be a winner. * PEBR: simply an example of a massive company with an in-demand product. Not much to say about that * ITUB (I suppose ITAU): a bank, banks are more regulated in Brazil than in the USA so there is no risk of a bankruptcy.

PBR, VALE, ABEV are great value stocks with good dividends that will outperform if not nationalized. Position size appropriately that if they drop to zero you‘ll be able to stomach the loss. PBR is trading at 2x earnings. I think there’s rules against tickers of sub $1B companies but there’s only two publicly traded firearms companies in the US, they are market cap around 700M. They’ve been hit hard in the last few months. I loaded up on more. WBA Walgreens looks cheap And nice diversifier from my otherwise commodity producers. I’m keeping an eye on Kohls KSS because it looks cheap but has run up a bunch lately so I’d like to be a pull back. It may not happen and I may miss it but I am okay missing stuff. I want to buy $1 for to cents, rather than buy $1 for $2 and hope it goes to $3. From a macro level, shoppers will be forced to downgrade. Target shoppers go to Walmart. And I think Kohls is a lower tier kind of place in the middle class realm. I can see new shoppers downgrading from something better down to kohls. Also there’s the bullwhip effect and I think lots of apparel and home goods places are overstocked. So they might offload stuff to kohls cheaper than usual. I really like gold miners like GDXJ but it’s run up 30% in recent weeks so it’s tough to say it’s as good of a deal as when I got in, but I think 2x or 3x over a year is possible. If the fed pivots, GDXJ could soar. Gold is at 1750 now. It was over $2000 in early 2020 before we got 30% debasement of the dollar supply. It \*should\* be $3,000 an ounce now. Gold miners are a leveraged play in that if gold doubles, then miners might 5x or 10x. But it works both ways if gold goes down. Miners use diesel as input cost so being long oil stocks is a good internal hedge. Speaking of oil. I loaded up on tanker stocks when the pipeline magically exploded and they’re up 40% in a couple months. FRO is my fav but it’s run up a bit so Id wait to see if it drops down back to 10 before entering.

Okay, so, this is a stupid question, but I'll humor it because I just drank an entire bottle of pinot noir but I'm still wide awake: If you sort all stocks by price on finviz, page 107/428 is the cutoff for the lowest quartile. The price there is about $7. So, now we want to filter for stocks $7 and below. But what does "best producers" mean? Well...let's say something basic like the PE ratio. So if you filter by $7 or below price, then sort by PE ratio, you get the following: 1. ELTK. Eltek Ltd. They make printed circuit boards. [The EPS trend is not good.](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/ELTK/eltek/eps-earnings-per-share-diluted) 2. FSI. Specialty chemicals that slow the evaporation of water? Okay, that's one of the weirdest opening pitches, but I'm game. Macrotrends apparently doesn't even know WTF FSI is, so here's the [Ycharts chart, which honestly seems respectable at first glance.](https://ycharts.com/charts/fund_chart_creator/fool/#/?chartAnnotations=&annotations=&annualizedReturns=false&calcs=id:normalized_eps_ttm,include:true,,&chartType=&chartId=&correlations=&dateSelection=range&displayDateRange=&endDate=&format=real&legendOnChart=false&nameInLegend=name_and_ticker&note=&partner=basic_2000&quoteLegend=false&recessions=false&scaleType=linear&securities=id:FSI,include:true,type:security,,&securityGroup=&securitylistName=&securitylistSecurityId=&source=false&splitType=single&startDate=&title=&units=false&useCustomColors=false&useEstimates=false&zoom=max) 3. DRD. DRD Gold Ltd. Gold miner, obviously. [EPS trend is trash.](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/DRD/drdgold/eps-earnings-per-share-diluted) 4. PBI. Pitney Bowes. This is like...some bullshit old-school snail mail sorting/weighing b.s. Business model is Boomer shit, and [the EPS trend is trash.](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/PBI/pitney-bowes/eps-earnings-per-share-diluted) 5. POWW. Ammo Inc. They manufacture ammunition. Being in Arizona myself, and them being HQed in AZ, I already want to like them, but hold up: I love guns and I literally have never heard of a single fucking one of their brands other than gunbroker.com. [Their EPS trend is the best so far.](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/POWW/ammo/eps-earnings-per-share-diluted) but they just barely turned profitable, and I'm not sure that I trust it. 6. ABEV. Ambev Brazil style. They produce and distribute Budweiser and Pepsi products in Central and South America and the Caribbean (and Antarctica, I guess...how much beer are these fucking penguins drinking??). [How is their EPS so bad?](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/ABEV/ambev-sa/eps-earnings-per-share-diluted) They're selling beer and sugar water for God's sake--two of the more addictive substances known to man. Anyway, now I'm tired. Buy POWW I guess. War never changes.

**Tickers of Interest** * EWZ [https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#EWZ](https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#EWZ) * Touched gamma max and may be ripe for a reversal. Waiting for confirmation before entering 09/02 28P for $0.95 or less * ABEV [https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#ABEV](https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#ABEV) * Back at Gamma Max. Same as the others. Look to enter 09/02 $5.80 or less * AMD [https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#AMD](https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#AMD) * Delta Neutral cross. Last time it crossed it reversed back to delta neutral quickly. Last time it crossed delta neutral, it was a reversal so delta neutral became resistance instead of support. * GME [https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#GME](https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#GME) * This may be the new local low for GME, and if that's the case I'll look to enter the 01/2023 237.5C ideally for $0.20 or less * NFLX [https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#NFLX](https://options.hardyrekshin.com/#NFLX) * Been crossing delta neutral a lot, so this could be a sign of consolidation before a large move. also, about what to buy... ABEV3 (brazillians are a bunch of alcooholics, they won't stop buying beers even if inflation rises it's price from 3 bucks to 3.30) AZUL4 (the only airline in brazil that it's hedged to fuck up on heating oil and diesel cost, sooner or later it will take over LATAM debt and own half of brazillian airspace pretty much) JBSS3 (this one is a given... meat rising prices, dollar rising, they export meat and receive in dollar, their costs didn't grew nothing and their prices rised like crazy)

Throw it in a Roth, then buy high dividend stocks like MO, O, ABEV. All your gains in your Roth are Tax Exempt and by the time you retire you have a good chunk of money.

I’ve seen some good DD on here, but I always use it as a jumping off point to do my own DD I made a lot of money on MT and TX (steel plays) after reading some good posts on steel, then after doing my own research and seeing that the numbers (free cash flow, return on equity, EV/EBITDA) we’re all fantastic snd learning that the theory for it to continue to grow made sense. ABEV is another one. Saw a good post on it, did my own research and saw it had by far the best numbers of all the other beer manufacturers and also had some potential due to Brazil currency, and make a great return on it. Of course a large portion of the tickets I see on here are bad that don’t hold up to my own further scrutiny

Review my suggestions (since I joined reddit in Jan and follow me if you choose to): ABEV, CRNT,VTRS,LUMN,WTER,XSPA,others...may be you can may a few bucks like me to supplement my retiree income, in what I see as a very inflationary next 4 years. My latest pick (yet to be posted )is AMRX

Based on my analysis, it seems to fit my criteria and is at the right price. I may buy a few on Tuesday (when our market open) as a post Covid play. Few other post Covid plays with potential, which I recommended in last couple of weeks , on smallstreetbets subreddit or stockandtrading are LYG,BTGOF, ABEV ,BKYI and XSPA. NO GUARANTEES. I usually buy a few of each; in that way if one or two do not perform the others could make up. Follow me so we can exchange ideas

No guarantees in the stock market. It is a stock I have owned and bought and sold a few times; under $3.50 it is very good value IMHO; over $4.75 to $6 it is is worth selling 50pct of your shares and buying back later . It is also on the portfolio of the ARK Israeli Innovation Fund. Also look at my posts on ABEV and BKYI on stocksandtrading or smallstreetbets or follow me ( no guarantees I will be the Pied Piper ). Good luck.

Thanks. I can only make a suggestion based on my own thought process and buying decision. if you want detailed investment advice you may want to subscribe to a service like MorningStar Premium research ( to which I subscribe ) or consult with you investment adviser. Self and those who took my suggestions on Nokia ( at $4) and MAC ( under $13.50) few weeks ago are doing OK . refer to MACArmy subreddit. If ABEV is not your cup of tea look at AMX, largest cell phone, TV and Internet provider in Mexico, Central and South America ( and they pay a dividend too).

How about Latin America and Central America ? If u like good beer and /or Pepsi , another one to look at under $3.35 for a post Covid play ( and a play on a declining US $) is a undervalued blue chip stock with LatAm market with symbol ABEV (and it pays a dividend of 3.0pct too )

Any reason why you would go for ABEV and not it's parent inbev? They are a huge company so you would more exposure to all their brands. I'm a fan of alcohol stocks, especially in the pandemic and post pandemic. I bought DGE in the pandemic and it's done me well. Can't go wrong really, when times are hard people often increase their alcohol consumption.
