Thoughts on the future of Lidar Technology Stocks?
Mentions
AEVA and OUST both pulled it off huge
Lidar sector killed it today. AEVA +24%, OUST +29%.
Serenity is brilliant and I am not haha. I do like OPTX, OUST, AEVA though. Picks and shovels...
AEVA, hand picked by NVIDIA as their reference platform.
Good God! What other calls you holding/looking at? I've been playing a little with calls from Vulture Trader on X and they have had some bangers. AEVA calls printed a few weeks ago.
I always smile when I see [Lidar stocks](https://finance.yahoo.com/quotes/LAZR,AEVA,INVZ,HSAI,OUST,ARBE,LIDR,MVIS/). I did a lot of research a couple of years ago. Most except for HSAI are at or near historical lows. OUST only look good because people forget the 1:30 reverse split. There are too many players and the technology still has shortcomings relating to signal degradation with age and various environmental condition affecting it. For me, it is stay away due to technology issues and too many players to know the winner. As you stated TSLA only uses cameras. I personally feel the autonomous players will need a combination of camera, radar and Lidar to get to the safety numbers for true autonomy. Good Luck.
I aim to find stocks that have something unique about them. Last year has been POET, AEVA and a few others, the year to come so far will be QSI. Just remember there will always be people hating and loving on every stock, all you’re trying to do is make money. Find a stock that has a big wow factor that could potentially lead to a huge success. POET = Photonic Platform, AEVA = 4D LiDAR, QSI = Affordable Protein Sequencing If you’re in early enough with these stocks, sooner or later you’re bound to make money. Poet has already ran off of hype and now needs to start finding value and making big steps in terms of commercialisation for it to run more. Wouldn’t invest now AEVA is similar running off of hype but it’s quite a bit better than poet, they’ve got good partnerships helping them commercialise. I’m currently big in profit for June 25 and 30 dollar calls for AEVA. Bought when the stock was at 17 so I’m about to take profit on this gem and hold onto stocks long term. QSI, QSI is still to run which makes it a good investment to me lol. It’s risky but it’s how you make good returns, you load up whilst it’s still uncertain and stagnant. Did it with poet and am doing it with QSI!
I like it. I like the whole sector as a long term hold including OUST. AEVA and oust are due for a pullback IMO but we’ll see.
What do you think of AEVA?
AEVA is doing great! MVIS last CEO was unfortunately obsessed with developing technology and not deals. The new CEO is a long time APTIV executive and he’s definitely 10 steps of improvement ahead of the last CEO. I think it’s only a matter of time before he gets stuff done.
AEVA is crushing it. MVIS is on the brink.
OUST and AEVA calls made me some real money out of my play money. Cashed them in for more SIVEF though. This week might be cray. Like when a small fire goes FWOOP! 🔥
Good with AEVA ya? I have a $20 mid June AEVA call that's gonna retire me haha
AEVA Gang feasting this week
AEVA Gang we ride with lidarrrrrrrr

I’m going upstream into AI supply chain bottlenecks. Buying what AI literally can’t be built without: COHR, LITE, SOI, IQE, AEVA. Picks and shovels before the Street notices they’re picks and shovel…Probably wrong but 🤷
POET, AEVA and GSIT gonna pump off AAOI, LITE, COHR
GSIT, POET and AEVA gonna pump now

AEVA is gonna pump next week
AEVA — load up while you can
AEVA was a bargain yesterday
SPLT it just broke out. More WDEP. More AEVA.
I am still bag holding... My $30+k has turned into $1.5k. I am doing Lidar play with similar positions in AEVA, LIDR, and OUST. Might get into INVZ soon too. I am praying some of them hit and make up for the loss. At the current market cap of few mill, I could see an automaker scoop it up?
U could add AEVA also... Who nvidia just partnered with yesterday
Just bought AEVA (autonomous driving) before partnership was announced, learned about them through Duquesne family fund llc. I think it's early, 1B market cap. also thinking of AUR.
I sold SMR this year, 6 times the value I bought it. My autonomous driving portfolio keeps growing (OUST: 60%, UBER 32%, AEVA: 176% - In summer, AEVA was a 10 bagger). My ARGT ETF grew by 9%. I'm pretty happy.
If you like $PATH, you’ll love $SYM $TER $OUST $AEVA. Could all run hard on the 2026 robotics theme
I always laugh when I see[ Lidar Stocks.](https://finance.yahoo.com/quotes/LAZR,AEVA,INVZ,HSAI,OUST,ARBE,LIDR,MVIS/) I did a lot of research on them a couple of years ago. For building security / surveillance, any may be good but the technology shortfalls still over ride it be completely economical. Good Luck.
Your choices do feel like more risk than its worth imho, but I know s about f lol so GL My yolo for 2026 is AEVA, think they have superior product, new Atlas system primarily. Great IP portfolio, team with good history, testing contracts all over the place - all we miss is a big buyer lol and I want to be in before that. Worth looking up, don't take my word, dyor. Merry Christmas brother
Aggressive growth: AEVA. Leading lidar technology. More wins on the way. Huge upside for next 5 years. Value idea: KRNT $600 million market cap with $500 million cash on the balance sheet. Leading technology for digital inkjet printing for garments and textiles. New product offerings to reignite growth. Dirt cheap.
\#AEVA and #OUST today! Lidar for the win
Level L4 is pretty big, although I think there will be a torrent of that coming from other companies. I have some big positions in the LASER stocks (AEVA, INVZ, LAZR), since driverless cars will need the best eyes possible (LAZR is currently at a very low price, although a bit risky).
SYM, RKLB, SMCI, AEVA, and EVGO. All can moonshot high risk/high reward. RKLB and SMCI are good buys right now imo.
AEVA is the answer. For everyone posting that LiDAR is a commodity…that is wrong. AEVA has FMCW technology underpinning their LiDAR…all others (except AUR which only uses their own LiDAR internally) use TOF. TOF, although cheaper than FMCW is inferior in that it cannot detect velocity and is subject to interference. AEVA has the balance sheet, strong partnerships and committed orders to be the winner in LiDAR.
Innoviz is probably the only bet that makes sense if you’re looking at actual future revenue. The space is too competitive already for 90% of manufacturers to survive in the short term. Hesai will most likely be supplying the Asian market though. And Aeva technologies is possibly a survivor as well as their leading technology is applicable in other industries. I would say a 50/25/25 split between INVZ/HSAI/AEVA is the most sound investment strategy

Plenty of opportunities to buy now/soon: AEVA $8-9 TDOC $6-7 SMCI <$30 FLY $17 (I like it here, they posted solid earnings) CRCL <$68 GTLB <$40 OSCR <$13 UNH <$300 INOD $40 Out of the MAG 7 - I’ll wait patiently for AMZN $200 (if it even gets there) to load up.

I invested with AEVA a Lidar chip company, Can anyone tell me how the America china chip deal will be translated tomorrow at open.
AEVA. Chip deal just done with china so should be an interesting week.
I bought AEVA at 7 dollars on the initial breakout and sold like 3-4 days later for a small profit. It ended up going 400% from there. Still keeps me up at night. But learned a valuable lesson to hold your winners
Personally more a fan of LIDR, but also AEVA (4D Lidr)
These are all positions I've taken in the last 15 months - names like AEVA, INVZ, RKLB, LUNR, PL, RUN, ARRY, DUOT.
AEVA is looking like excellent long if it can break the 100SMA. Been building a large position with $13.50avg. This hit is ready to fly again
How we feel about AEVA chat ?
How we feel about AEVA chat ?
I’d rather invest in robotic components like lidar sensors. Ouster or AEVA are two that have diversified outside of automotive. Personally I like Ouster more.
I know but if it bounces it can run hard. I’m hoping the bottom is in soon and they blow past MVIS and AEVA and INVZ which seems to have worse tech
eltp onds and baba carrying me. SMCI and AEVA fucking me a bit, but i'm green. Bought more AEVA calls.
actually kinda happy AEVA got nuked this AM. easy calls
i picked up AEVA calls already. hope it stays above 14.60 and i should be okay
AEVA took a shit and I bought more calls. amen holy father, may they print. hail mary!
i'd like to think this is the bottom for AEVA and that I can buy calls now.
AEVA has some rgrd strength the last 10 days.
List of every company NVDA is going to pump: Cadence design systems Synopsys Coreweave NEBIUS Vertiv SMCI Uber Tesla Google Microsoft Broadcom Meta Palantir Salesforce Amazon Apple Galaxy Applied digital ARM AMD AEVA Ouster Intel TSM IBM Cisco Oracle AMSL AMAT LAM reason Micron Marvell Dell QQQ SPY Bitcoin
Is there a reason nobody is talking about AEVA? 30% short interest, huge retracement from the highs, no significant change in fundamentals and latest earnings wasn't bad. So what did I miss?
Lol. How did AEVA do today lol? Hopefully it will back down so I CAN BUY MORE CALLS you dumbfuks.
Probably buying more calls on AEVA, DNUT and OPEN. Probably going to enter some new calls. Probably going to sell some puts.
Still waiting for everyone to jump on AEVA so it’ll rip. Last month I thought we were starting finally
AEVA. One of the only companies making solid state LiDAR components, they’re gonna be big as autonomous vehicles take off. I’m just waiting for people to find them and blast that stock to the moon. No I don’t have bags, I promise you
Look for calls on CRSP and AEVA instead.
Buying calls on AEVA at \~$12.2-$10.9.
Thanks Scottish... You might be right but it was mostly a BUNCH of bad short Puts trades on AEVA. I let them run too long and too many. I bailed this am and will reload when I think appropriate. The only saving thing is I straddled the trade with short calls @$1.85 premium and closed them out today for 0.05 cents. The AEVA trade is one trade where I didn't roll... VERY unusual. Also, for the BENEFIT of OTHERS - Listen when Scottish says keep LOTS of excess liquidity!!! It took me a while to LISTEN to you when you said keep LOTS of powder dry... "a while" being like ALMOST blowing my account up 3 times. I couldn't see why I shouldn't have my money "working" all the time so I traveled on the edge and, sure enough, every time the market cratered I had to close trade after trade at a loss because I didn't have the excess liquidity to manage. Now I pay attention and leave a MINIMUM of about 20% of my net liquidity to play with. And that's a MINIMUM! Maybe not quite enough but so far so good!!!
QBTS, NNE, AEVA have all done extremely well for me. I am not saying one should invest in them at their current valuations.
How about copy paste: Based on the latest market analysis and upcoming catalysts, these **high-potential growth stocks** show strong potential for significant gains by late August 2025: --- ### 🚀 **Top 3 Explosive Growth Stocks for August 2025** #### **1. I bullied Deepseek into giving me financial advice for August. CORZ August 14 earnings, tightly interconnected with coreweave contracts, buy calls VKTX August 20 data release for obesity treatment, buy calls AEVA Auto industry connections, watch close Wildcards- DGNX acquiring Resultix and European regulatory environment, and TMC deep sea mining permits August 15th. Could play either in August, high risk momentum plays

Believe AEVA is recent quants putting on shorts in a name that has had a good run. More of a mean reversion, rather than a fundamental view For pct it’s been a very long journey, unprofitable de spac tech, taken longer to get the plant up and running (covid, supply issues, challenges with construction and process), but they are the rough that now. The tech works, it can scale and purchase orders are starting to come through. Waiting for the big one with P&G and or a large car company like Toyota, but the plant should be sold out by year end and likely futures lines / plants with off take agreements globally (Antwerp, Thailand, Japan). The types of shorts are likely broader in this name - some hedges versus the bonds / warrants on issue, others include fundamental and quant. While SI has dropped the past 2 weeks, when a large PO drops, everyone will be running for the gates at the same time. A lot of the long holders have been in thai name for 4 years and are not going to be selling. Then you get new names in there like Duquesne (smart money investors), it’s ripe for other new institutional money to come in as well. It’s pure ESG, monopoly, great margins and global. The short squeeze in this will be huge, given the short interest out there.
I’d rather buy BULL and AEVA than OPEN
AEVA is ready for the next leg up. Get in before this starts moving lots of institution buying
MSTR (btc treasury) SBET (eth treasury) BABA (rebounding as tariff news softens; ai race heating up) TSM (value) RDW (space, definitely dca) UBER (autonomous) IONQ (definitely dca in small amounts due to high beta) AEVA (earnings growth) PSIX (just saw it, know nothing, but damn that chart)
Not counting BTC and ETH, HOOD, VRT, TSMC, PLTR and AEVA
That’s a good strategy. If you’re looking for directional plays, AEVA had a picture perfect D1 followed by a harsh rotation sell off. And then look what happened the next two days. It’s acting like a gap fill. OTM $35s already printed and I opened $40s at EOD. I’ve been watching to see which tech stocks sold off hard and which ones didn’t recover (PLTR. OKLO and TEM sorta bounced a bit today).
Might be wrong, but AEVA looks like it has good potential
AEVA… why is it tanking? I get that it has been doing very well this past month but it is going straight down off of no negative news.
Did anyone else get murdered on AEVA?
You think it is wise to go in with today's crash budd? I just heard about AEVA and the tech is solid...But this crash seems tricky
