I first thought this was funny. Then I realized this fuckin guy has a point. DD on church and Dwight makes this a strong argument. CHD is up 17.55% this month. Church and Dwight make Trojans. Look at the sharp rise in share price relative to the other economic indicators the last 60 days. Prostitution Index. Comes with its own price-earnings ratio. Think of it like "ass is being traded at 3 times earnings". It's a call....and then a put. Right? She returns that money to shareholders by investing in the local economy of liquor stores, makeup products, uber eats, uber rides and rubbers (see above, CHD). She keeps a boost mobile sometimes two for clients. She returns value to local drug dealers who then spend money on other luxury goods in addition to her. Shit, what am I doing with my life.

Fwiw, some of the top consumer products companies like PG, CLX, ENR, EPC, CHD all had crap earnings because consumers are cutting back and buying cheaper laundry detergent. CHD is the worse of them, with very weak brands, and trades at close to 30 PE. Yes. Will be buying poots.

Didn't JnJ also dump the talc lawsuits to Kenvue? "Tylenol, which is ~10% of their portfolio, causes a drop from 20, to 16, to now 14 dollar a share. A 30% drop in 2 months" Beyond the headlines, there is something to the fact that it's been lousy period for a lot of CPG stuff in recent years. Look at a peer like CHD down YTD (-16%) and 1/5 yr periods. PG is down YTD. Yes, there is something to the headlines but the business isn't doing great otherwise. The Tylenol announcement was September, looking before that at the May quarter, wasn't great: "Net sales decreased 3.9% vs the prior year period, reflecting Organic sales decline of 1.2% and foreign currency headwind of 2.7%"

I have no idea why CDIO isn't the main ticket being talked about in this sub right now. $CDIO Capital Structure as of 12/01/2024 & Potential Valuation Just With CMS: On 11/25/2024: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) with 67m enrollments, approved & finalized pricing for CDIO's Epi+Gen CHD ($350/test) and PrecisionCHD ($850/test), paving the way for reimbursement starting in 2025—a game-changing milestone. Expected revenue from this in 2025 is $804,000,000 with a $160,000,000 profit margin. Given those two figures, the company valuation balloons to $3.2B and the stock should be worth ~$26.00/share. Everyone is expecting some formal announcement from CDIO about this approval from Medicare with probably some additional guidance along the lines I mentioned. So it's kind of a big fucking deal.

At this stage in their development, this is going to pay off big time holding into 2025. They are on the cusp of pulling in hundreds of millions in revenue from Medicare since their price structure was just approved for the Epi+Gen CHD and Precision CDH tests. That announcement is the sole reason why we're talking about $CDIO now. So this one I am day trading until EOY and then am going to put this in my long-term hold basket beginning 2025.

Hi all. Anybody looking at CDIO? I find the current state enticing. In short: they focus on epigenetic testing to detect cardiovascular diseases. Catalysts to come: - a PR about a nasdaq extension to regain 1 dollar bid price to June 2nd 2025. There was a sec filing on friday. - 2 tests have been launched but no PR yet, CMS has to finalize their pricing decision by year end so that claims can start by January 1st 2025. In long: Epi+Gen CHD is an AI-powered blood-based DNA test that evaluates genetic and epigenetic markers to assess the three-year risk for a symptomatic CHD event, while PrecisionCHD aids in diagnosing the condition. Both tests have already been assigned unique CPT codes by the American Medical Association, 0439U and 0440U, respectively, which became effective in April 2024. CMS recently issued a preliminarily determination to price both PrecisionCHD and Epi+Gen CHD on a ‘gapfill’ basis. This decision, following the Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS) Annual Public Meeting held on June 25, 2024, recognizes the unique value of these tests. If finalized, this decision will be effective for claims with dates of service on or after January 1, 2025, and will allow Medicare contractors to determine pricing for PrecisionCHD and Epi+Gen CHD based on actual cost data from Cardio Diagnostics. The Medicare contractors will report to CMS preliminary gapfill pricing for calendar year 2025 by April 1, 2025. Looking ahead, revenue is forecast to grow 200% p.a. on average during the next 2 years, compared to a 22% growth forecast for the Biotechs industry in the US. They also got an extension from Nasdaq to regain the minimum bid price, to June 2025. This was filed on friday, but there hasn't been a PR yet. Volume has been rising this past week. Am I missing anything? What are your thoughts on this?

Oh yeah, totally, he's just the chairman of the anti-vax group Chidren's Health Defense, and has said that there's not a single safe and effective vaccine on the market, and that vaccines cause autism and basically all disease in general, and that the Polio vaccine has killed more people than its saved. He was also a big proponent of COVID vaccine conspiracies, and he's listed as a lawyer on at least one of the Children's Health Defense 19+ anti-COVID-vaccine lawsuits against the government and news organizations. He's also created videos to help promote the CHD's anti-vax merch, including stickers that say things like "IF YOU’RE NOT AN ANTI-VAXXER YOU AREN’T PAYING ATTENTION." He also tells parents to "resist" CDC health guidelines on vaccines, and he brags that when he goes hiking and passes families that he tells them that they better not vaccinate their kids. But he definitely doesn't have anything against vaccines

If you want a useful chart on valuation this is how you do it. Measure the average absolute LTM (last 12 months) rolling valuation over a long period of time. Pick a metric. Find the mean LTM over that period. Then take the 1st and 2nd standard deviation and show those bands around d the mean. Now you have a very good sense of the company is cheap or expensive relative to history. Then you can did it and figure out what people are worried or excited about at those times. Next, do the same analysis except instead of absolute valuation, use relative valuation to the sector. Sometimes a sector is more desired by investors than others. This controls for that. Is CHD always cheaper than the sector? When is it not? Then you can dig into why. Charts that just slope up and to the right are not terribly helpful. You want to know variance from trend and the second derivative.

Eh. I'm all about building out the core of a portfolio with ETFs/MFs but it's reasonable for someone with an affinity for a certain company to want additional exposure. Think about it this way; *lots* of people knew Meta was and is poorly run. I've avoided them like the plague. I still own QQQ, which is around 3% Meta stock. So if you have a round million bucks in QQQ/SPY whatever you're going to have $30,000 in Meta whether you like it or not. Now, if you want to increase exposure to *well run* good companies with a long track record, wide moat, excellent management, lots of IP, etc (MSFT for example) you should buy that stock on top of your QQQ which is 10% MSFT already. By owning QQQ as a core, and also additionally owning MSFT, I have increased my exposure to good management, and decreased my % exposure to Meta and it's narrow moat, bad management and lack of revenue diversity. I've been very well served by owning V, HD, CHD etc in addition to indexes. I disagree with your statement that long term holding is a poor strategy.

r/wallstreetbetsSee Comment

I have a few rules. 1) Never trade during the first 45 minutes of market open and last 30 minutes before close. Those are the most volatile times, which you don't want. Volatility is not your friend. And no matter how tempted you are, stay away. 2) Only trade mega caps and preferably high profitability companies like FAANG. I am looking for stocks that trade **generally** in a 1-3% range. Meaning: they usually don't move up or down more or less than 3% in a day. ABSOLUTELY NO SMALL CAPS and even most large caps. 3) Stay away from stocks that are up or down more than 5% in one day. A company does not and should not lose more than 5% in a day in market cap with no news. No news is your friend. 4) Look at overall market (S&P, Nasdaq, Dow) and see if they're up or down for the day and how much. The best is when it's not volatile and it's up/down 0.2-0.9% pre market. The closer to 0% (flat) the better. 5) Look at the industry the stock you are looking to trade is in. For example, let's say you find CHD as a good option for scalp trading that day. See how much it is up/down on the day and then look at their competitors and other companies in the industry (PG, CLX, KMB, MKC, CL, UL, etc). Yahoo finance shows these on the side. As long as they're all trading in the same range more or less and have the same movement, you're good to go. 6) Realize that it's unlikely you'll time it EXACTLY right but you will get pretty close which is good enough. Basically it's very simple. Imagine a flat day for stocks and you're looking at AMZN. All of a sudden AMZN drops by 0.7% over a 30-60 second period. That's exactly when you buy in. Very good chance it bounces back by 0.1-0.3%. Sell then. Don't get agitated if you only make 0.1% on trades. Profit is profit.

Pooph is BLGO technology that is marketed by Ikigai. BioLargo is able to pursue other markets for their product, but pet odor is reserved for Ikigai. I have been digging into some of the past brand sales that the advertisers (IKIGAI) of Pooph have executed.: [FLAWLESS BRAND SALE](http://investor.churchdwight.com/news-releases/news-release-details/church-dwight-acquire-flawless-brand-475-million-plus-earn-out) "Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (NYSE:CHD) has signed a definitive agreement with Ideavillage Products Corporation to acquire the FLAWLESS:tm: and FINISHING TOUCH:tm: brands of hair removal products (“FLAWLESS”), the market leader in women’s electric hair removal products, for **approximately $475 million in cash plus an additional earn-out payment of up to a maximum of $425 million, in cash, based on a twelve-month net sales target ending no later than December 31, 2021.**" "FLAWLESS’ net sales for the trailing twelve months ended December 31, 2018 were approximately $180 million with EBITDA approximating $55 million (approximately 30% EBITDA margin) over the same period. FLAWLESS is the #1 women’s electric hair removal brand in the U.S. focusing on brows and face while the women’s hair removal category has historically been focused on legs with manual razors and blade products. The products are marketed in the U.S. and over 30 countries. Approximately 10% of net sales come from international markets." This is a brand creation that Dennis referenced in the Q3 call in November. Ideavillage Product Corporation was the entity that created the brand and executed the sale. This was not Ikigai doing the brand creation, but Jordan Stanley (of Ikigai) was involved with Ideavillage at the time: [JORDAN STANLEY JOINS IDEAVILLAGE](https://drugstorenews.com/center-store/jordan-stanley-joins-ideavillage) **BioLargo will be getting 20% of the total sale of the Pooph brand. That's already decided (along with a 6% royalty on all sales until that time + being the supply chain partner for the CupriDyne concentrate used to make Pooph).** There's no guarantee that the sale deal resembles the above transaction and a brand sale is never a guarantee until it happens (though the track record of the advertising folks is truly industry leading), but it's a real example of a Jordan Stanley brand sale deal. In this example, the brand was sold for 5x the trailing-twelve-month sales revenue. BioLargo gets 1/5 of the sale total. That's honestly pretty convenient for estimation of potential BioLargo revenue associated with a future sale. **Annual sales = approximate BioLargo cut of brand sale (if the FLAWLESS deal structure were to be followed).** Ikigai's initial target was for sales to ramp up to $100M in annual revenue, meaning that following this deal structure would bring in a cash injection that is almost double the current market cap of the company. Dennis mentioned a target of a billion dollars a year during a February 3 Stock Day Podcast visit. Even the low target is significant. The current annual sales rate for Pooph is around $35-$40M so they are well on their way given that the initial target was for 4 years and this is still less than a year in. A few months ago, Ikigai indicated that responsiveness to the advertising material had been 850% of projections. I don't think that means the sales projection can be assumed to be 8.5x, but that video is a huge show of enthusiasm about the current success of Pooph from an absolute advertising giant who's done it many times before. Febreze, Snuggie, Swiffer, Oxi-Clean (remember Billy Mays... RIP) are all things that are in Jordan Stanley's past. There are many products that you know and love because of this individual.

I buy the etf XEI.TO which is a dividend etf for Canadian companies. I buy some VFV which is a sp500 etf for Canadians. I’ve also been buying good quality tech such as AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, AMD , TSLA as well as staples like CHD and COST. I’ve been buying these companies and etfs for years now every 2 weeks and this drop feels like a blessing as I’m so far from retirement it’s just more shares I can get for cheaper.

these threads are good for ideas. Just DYOR, im too lazy to look up the multipliers and type of synopsis. I like seeing new tickers to look into, some of mine: PATK, never see it here small cap. My flagship pick for a thread like this. Other picks on reddit never talked about CHD, 20+ billion market cap div aristrocrat. You recognize their brands but never the stock on social media. CPNG, STNE, VALE some foreign stocks forgotten in US but talked about here a little, and beat up.

This implies that all WSBers hate dentists. If we are a dentist, do we hate ourselves intensely? Puts on $PG, $ALGN and $CHD!

To add to your list, I also own CHD. Baking soda and toothpaste... we'll always need that. Tooth pain? I think everyone thinks about Orajel. Trojan Condoms? Ok, maybe I just like owning a brand that has condoms (![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)), but with the recent SCOTUS ruling, condoms seem more important than ever. They have some other notable brands but I just listed a few.

Church and Dwight (CHD) owns Trojen and other contraceptives. Evofem (EVFM) owns Phexxi, a pre sexy time substance you squirt in there so you can raw dog it to completion.

Has anyone else bought CHD (makers of Trojan)? It's my bday and I'll never forget this day . They want to outlaw the pill. So back to condoms not just for casual sex but also for couples . They might also outlaw IUDs . Crazy
