Personally I’m betting on the fintechs. Especially midcaps. They’ve been beaten down the hardest all for mostly temporary macroeconomic headwinds. They also had the biggest bounce back today. Im not saying they weren’t also terribly overvalued in the run up, but I think the market has over corrected and we’ll see a lot of these produce multibaggers if bought at current levels. Might sound like a bagholder but I just started buying most of these after their recent huge dips. Was a little early on UPST but not a large position. Stocks I like: PYPL SQ SOFI MQ AFRM STNE.
My COCO puts ended up printing 100%. Should have stuck with the 10p but I was able to sell the 7.5p for about what I bought them for. Still holding MQ puts because they're mostly worthless and JPow could save them. Those losses pretty much equal the COCO gains. RIVN I only have 1 June spread left and it went down but still green. Not sure what to do with it. TOST spread should make a little money even though it went up a little. IV of 255% should help them out a lot as it drops.
Allright fellas...evrybody take a knee! We seen some shit out there today dint we?! I SAID DINT WE?!! Some u boys got ur shit pushed in, i know. And I am sorry for that. Hell, some a ya got ur balls ripped off and shoved down ur throat. But some good things happened here today. Just so you know, most of the time I read the comments before I reply to determine if it's worth being sincere. After scanning through your comments, I'm choosing sincerity. First, I lied, I don't actually want you all to lose all of your money. If you're interested in learning more about how stocks are valued, here are some books you may be interested in. I have read all of these and I think they're great resources. If you're interested in some of these books but cannot afford them, DM me and I can send you the kindle/Ebook/Pdf versions. 1. I stand corrected, thank you. Did they change it at one point, been buying since early 2000. Lots of references that still show quarterly! https://www.google.com/search?q=series+EE+bonds+%22compounded+quarterly%22&biw=1280&bih=577&sxsrf=APq-WBu\_DSUTW\_16M5BU4S1Tbdi9aAdhGg%3A1649959562662&ei=imJYYqaHKNLWtAbC3Z-YBg&ved=0ahUKEwim9ICtkpT3AhVSK80KHcLuB2MQ4dUDCA8&uact=5&oq=series+EE+bonds+%22compounded+quarterly%22&gs\_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAM6BwgAEEcQsANKBAhBGABKBAhGGABQnQRY-Algow5oAXABeACAAWiIAZwCkgEDMi4xmAEAoAEByAEHwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz https://www.google.com/search?q=series+EE+bonds+%22compounded+quarterly%22&biw=1280&bih=577&sxsrf=APq-WBu\_DSUTW\_16M5BU4S1Tbdi9aAdhGg%3A1649959562662&ei=imJYYqaHKNLWtAbC3Z-YBg&ved=0ahUKEwim9ICtkpT3AhVSK80KHcLuB2MQ4dUDCA8&uact=5&oq=series+EE+bonds+%22compounded+quarterly%22&gs\_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAM6BwgAEEcQsANKBAhBGABKBAhGGABQnQRY-Algow5oAXABeACAAWiIAZwCkgEDMi4xmAEAoAEByAEHwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz
It’s appearing like these stocks are in a few etfs that are getting shorted or share creation is having its way with them. PLTR is in 87 etfs, mttr, 24, MQ in 30, and BBBY is in 84 I’m sure they share some similar holdings somewhere that got hammered today.
I like other people's mention of $ABML, $DNA, and $IONQ. I will also add: $MQ - Prior Salesforce CTO in charge of their tech stack and just lured the former Visa CFO $PSFE - It's been depressed given their mgmt but, they just on-boarded a long-time FIS exec as CEO today and have been making major wins in unifying gambling hubs $RKLY - photonics seems to be the natural next step in health monitoring devices and the level of talent they have is extraordinary $SMFR - they have amazing leadership experience and a massive database to advance precision medicine / improve drug development pipelines $TWST - a long shot but if they unlock DNA storage, they'll quickly become as big as any fabless company on the market today (I think)
I appreciate the detailed response. I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to can't the big banks do what SOFI does? They can, but they aren't, at least yet. I'm banking (no pun intended) on SOFI getting a true foothold before the big banks come around and try to push them out. My investment is about 1% of my total portfolio cost basis. High risk, high reward. If it goes to zero, it will barely make a dent and if it 10x, awesome. I have similar investments in UPST and MQ to go with big-boy financial investments in MELI, SQ, & V. So SOFI, I'm watching the KPIs. Revenue by segment, products being used, total member count. All are still strong. If the tide changes, my thesis will be broken and I'll cut bait. I need to see FCF start trending towards positive instead of getting more and more negative. Also want to see net profit margin begin to work it's way towards positive. Good luck in the AMD shares you bought. I've had them on my watchlist for a while but just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I'm biased, but giving my honest personal opinion here, I think this sounds like a bad idea. I'm not optimistic about Databricks long term. They are a data prep company masquerading as a data science company. Nothing wrong with that, but Spark resources are expensive compared with SQL, and they are at risk from all fronts (Cloud providers, Snowflake, AI/ML platform players, etc.). I see their Databricks controlled format "Delta Lake" going nowhere in the face of a far superior [Apache Iceberg](https://iceberg.apache.org/) that has an active community and the backing of well known companies like Netflix, Apple, Adobe, LinkedIn, Expedia, and Stripe. On the ML front, there are fierce competitors like [Dataiku](https://www.dataiku.com/), [DataRobot](https://www.datarobot.com/), and [H2O.ai](https://H2O.ai) plus solid solutions from the Cloud providers ([SageMaker](https://aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/), [Azure ML](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/machine-learning/), [Google ML](https://cloud.google.com/products/ai)). Look at the current Gartner MQ for ML. Dataiku is better ranked than Databricks. How is Databricks going to advance in ML if they are investing the majority of their R&D budget in trying to fix their 80-90% data prep business? I think there are better opportunities from a pure investment standpoint. Good luck!
My portfolio isn't for retirement. Mostly small and mid-cap. Have 40% kreepto. CLS/K has shot up since I bought 6 weeks. Have SI bank + MARA + BITF + SM/URF. Just bought NILE. Some of my best are IONQ + AEHR + ONDS + MQ + CLFD
Accelerating revenue growth and TPV. FCF positive and improving. Concentration risk declining. SQ recently called out the success of the Cash App card and that’s powered by MQ. I own as well and added more after MQs last earnings in 3/9.
Thanks for the reply. Great! If this is just for fun and you truly are willing to accept HIGH RISK then I know the perfect user profile for you to check out. u/NPRjunkieDC Here are a few of their recent tickers: IONQ + AEHR + ONDS + CLFD + MQ + NVTS
Could be a huge boost to cannabis stocks like $CBDD. https://click.redditmail.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2Fweedstocks%2Fcomments%2Ftlixos%2Ffederal_marijuana_bill_may_receive_house_floor%2F%3F$deep_link=true%26correlation_id=7019c137-0648-4c39-ab31-0ba99a7b346c%26post_fullname=t3_tlixos%26post_index=2%26ref=email_digest%26ref_campaign=email_digest%26ref_source=email%26utm_content=post_title/1/0100017fba30de79-8a5930c9-6d97-4158-b765-659f65f9e949-000000/lHnUziwb5DO3e1R9MQ9-MyAJPbALNCgWoJ9dq_w55mA=242
The problem with the war is that Russia and Ukraine are the biggest exporters of wheat which is consumed in great quantities. Replacing this supply is doable but not immediate. They also produce some very important metals for EV and tech industries. Oh and ships are stuck at ports in that area and can no longer use that route . So first we had Covid. Then supply chain with boats stuck for weeks Now interruption in raw elements not to mention the oil issue . China lockdown is expected to lower the demand for oil for an unknown period depending on the severity of Covid over there . Maybe airlines yes + ABNB Probably Cyber Security Many companies are at bargain prices even with the record week we just had . I like IONQ + AEHR + ONDS + MQ + CLFD
You should make sure to get companies with strong balance sheets as well, for added protection. Be careful with SKLZ. They took on a very high interest loan (I think about 10%), which will make things worse for them as well. Other stocks that sold off a lot with high upside are BIRD, SFIX, LMND, MQ, and COMP. I'm sure there are a ton of others as well.
I really like what SOFI’s doing, and fairly controlled risk for the upside at this valuation imo. I love what MQ has been doing though. The network they’re building indirectly gives you exposure to a ton of the other high growth fintechs (AFRM, SQ, BILL, etc) and with a fantastic balance sheet for a relatively young/high growth company.
My portfolio is down 45% since Nov 9th. Made a killing with IONQ when it jumped to $29.27. It's a leader in quantum computing . AEHR Is in an interesting business. Was up considerably and not so much. ONDS + RDW +CLFD + MQ + NVTS bought 6 weeks ago. Down on the last 2.
