The youth these days are smart (but emotional, lets not forget that) and people need to see that. The quality of life is actually getting worse for future generations. "Put your head down and focus" is the traditional response. It's outdated and we need to start thinking differently. Older generations have these expectations of what the youth "should be doing" when what they did was obviously wrong in many cases. Share your experience i.e. what worked and what didn't but don't tell someone else how to live. People who say money can't buy happiness don't know where to shop. I'm not saying your advice is bad but you don't know what you don't know. If the kid wants to invest in crypto he might be on the right track. What do you ACTUALLY know? Another personal opinion, crypto is just getting started. It will be HUGE in many more cases than BTC. Also, mutual funds are the best all around, least risky, asset to have in your portfolio. Diversity is important.

I'd disagree as far as crypto goes - they all seem relatively tightly coupled at the moment. Then again, diversification is good and I'm not a SUPER MAXI LASER EYES kinda guy and keep a couple of what I believe the kids call 'cringe boomer stock portfolios' too.
