I always look for the new shiny coins, that don't have bag holders from last cycle who are looking to get their money back which creates selling pressure. This cycle I have continued to DCA into BTC since 15k, and SOL from 15$, and some ETH because I need it to airdrop farm the new tokens. For new additions for 2025 I have got into $HYPER, $MOVE, $ONDO, $JTO I am only looking for coins that didn't exist in last cycle.

As for SOL, so many in the crypto space, shelve it as part of the shitcoin casino. I always buy BTC and have been DCAing since 2013. But I also like ALTs ... preferably new projects so their is no overhead sell pressure from people trying to breakeven after holding for 4yrs from last cycle. Old coins I buy: BTC, SOL new alts I buy: SUI, MOVE, ONDO, HYPER This is just my 2cents

Thanks for the ~$400 back when I sold my moons in 2021 reddit! All things end, eventually. BTC alone is still "niche", moons are/were HYPER-NICHE. It was only a matter of time. Regardless of HYPER-inflation possibility, moving off exchange to a self custody wallet is a very good idea. It stops the exchange from fractional selling of your exchange held shares.

I thought HYPER inflation was like 50% a month. Not sure it's mathematically possible for the the world's reserve currency to hyperinflate. Reserve currency is last to fall, every other currency must hyperinflate first.

The debt, very roughly speaking, is to future citizens. I want to grow my business for my kids who will one day take over (say building rail lines or something you think is objectively useful to make this easy) I borrow money from the government to do so. They get taxes from my children when they grow up to pay that back (and maybe up tax rates to do so). My kids pay those taxes, BUT it's a net gain for the country because i've likely created way more value than the amount of the initial loan, and by the time the kids are paying those taxes inflation itself has lowered the value of the loan taken out. This is a HYPER simple example but you can then expand that to be between countries and what not and get a really basic idea of how all this starts working. The whole reason we moved away from the gold standard is because there isn't even close to enough gold to really represent the value of society now, let alone in the future. A dollar is just a contract stating that society owes you a debt, equal to a dollars worth of goods, at a point in time of your choosing. Thus the society is what's placing the real value on the dollar, its how much the society can produce/redeem for a dollars worth of time. Gold sitting in a bank has nothing to do with it, and was a huge limitation.

Take your ignorance else where if you have a political bias for progressive policies and taxation to the extent you cannot understand the extraordinary complexities of defi legal compliance and why KYC is so problematic. If you don't understand why KYC is such an issue with DeFi, you clearly lack the legal detail and the engineering detail, both of which I'm quite confident in. We don't want the rampant unchecked surveillance either, there is this thing called due process and the constitution. I told you people numerous times this isn't about taxes, OR KYC, it's about HYPER unfair economic cartelization and protectionism of traditional finance incumbents by HYPER broken SEC and CFTC law. I think all of us believe it will happen at some point, slowly, but to say that hyperinflation is happening is a very general statement. Where is it happening? Certainly, in some countries. But I think the US audience is not feeling HYPER-inflation. Even if inflation continues around 5% a year for the next few years, I don't know if I'd categorize that as "hyperinflation". Either way, BTC is the answer to any level of fiat inflation.
