You could also look at stocks like PFE, SNCY, VZ, PDD, AES, D, T, BRK

That's a silly hypothetical. If it did, that means the encryption many other industries rely on has been cracked too. We'd crash. Also defense is way ahead of offense when it comes to encryption. We already have PQC that just needs to be rolled out widely. We're nowhere near quantum computers being able to crack AES-256

Mentions:#AES

AES. Its been a bargin for the last year. PE of 6x and a 5% dividend. People look at the amount it is spending on new capacity and their high debt levels but its mostly cashflow funded growth and falling interest rates would be beneficial for them.

Why do you buy high and sell low? Why can't you hold your stocks for a year or more? It's very unlikely you'd buy a stock close to the year low and they can go both up and down. Most of what you've listed there did really well this year and close to ATH. Value stocks are stocks like PFE, KO, T, VZ, AES, D and such. Based on what you just wrote I think you would be better off just putting everything in VOO or QQQM

PWR is my holding for this issue. Other power/energy related positions I hold include: CEG, NEE, GEV, AES, with CCJ and BWXT instead of the speculative SMR companies.

LOS ANGELES, CA - October 14, 2025 (NEWMEDIAWIRE) - Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT), through its Acoustic Science Division's Wireless Sound Association (WiSA), introduced three new solutions designed to advance interoperable, high-performance wireless audio: the WiSA E Falcon transmitter module, the WiSA Connect mobile application, and the WiSA certification application. The 5GHz Falcon module delivers uncompressed, low-latency multi-channel audio optimized for soundbars, TVs and home theater systems, outperforming traditional 2.4GHz Bluetooth with superior RF performance and 256-bit AES encryption. The WiSA Connect app allows users to control and customize WiSA E certified devices via their home Wi-Fi network, while the WiSA Certification App simplifies product development and interoperability testing for manufacturers. CEO Nathaniel Bradley said the new suite positions Datavault AI to meet the growing demand for premium, seamless audio experiences and extend its audio technologies into emerging areas such as robotics and Web3 applications.

In an AI arms war between the two biggest players, invest in both. At the moment there's a gap in power supply in the US and of course rare earths, and in China BABA is going to be well supported. I've got calls in BABA and AES in the US as a power supply gamble. Stupidly sold UUUU though when it was sagging a few weeks ago. The usefulness of AI is up for debate but what isn't is that both US and China want to be on top of the ladder.

AES will too when they finalize the Blackrock ( GIP ) takeover.

Quantum computing can't realistically break encryption. The reason people say that it can is because quantum computers can use Shor's algorithm. Shor's algorithm half's the amount of time needed to break encryption. AES-256 is the most widely used encryption standard. It takes over a billion years to crack with digital computers. Half a billion years is still longer than anyone is willing to wait. Let's say for arguments sake that it can break AES in a practical time frame. Well we have quantum resistant standards now (lattice based cryptography). Quantum computing can't speed up cracking that at all. So we can all just switch to Learning With Errors (LWE) based encryption and everyone will be fine. The CIA and other intelligence agencies would be able to decrypt your old Internet traffic because they've been openly tapping into undersea cables to archive it for decades now.

And yet, they require L4 by law, from September 1st.. If there's no grace period (unclear rn), the safety monitor will even have to sit in the driver's seat. The Texas DMV has to certify the AES level. I could see L3, to be honest. But for L4 it needs situational awareness that almost never fails. It's been 10 years now of dumb such failures. Like thinking the moon is a yellow light. Basically FSD is a 2D image LLM, prone to hallucination, especially in low light. The cam resolution used to be a ridiculous 1.2 MP, but I digress. Meet Kevin (a big fan) took a ride a couple days ago, and a teleoperator had to intervene, because the car was copying the car in front of it, which went into a parking garage. That's basically cheating. https://preview.redd.it/05bx5sgsj2kf1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd843c72291b26171bcb2ac2618540dbb9e68e13 Vision-only will get there... But with LOTS more compute. That's what Elon gets wrong. It's not easy at all to create 3D out of 2D input in real time. We never evolved to do fast computation like a processor can. But we did for image processing.

I recently opened a position in AES. The energy transition from renewables to nuclear energy is clear, and although long term renewables aren't going away, the big advantage solar has right now is speed of delivery. Nuclear is the future with SMRs, etc, but it's going to take too long and technology is moving faster than our energy infrastructure can sustain. Coal, renewables and nat gas will fill the void and within 10 years a large portion of data centers will be steaming on nuke power. Good luck out there.

My guy, if AES encryption is cracked, we have MUCH bigger issues than our Bitcoin bags. Trading platforms, financial institutions, banks, schools, literally everything would be screwed at that point. Bitcoin would be the least of our worries. And I will bring up the point I made earlier (again, if you understood what you were saying, you would know it doesn’t make sense) that Bitcoin is open source and decentralized. So, even if AES-256 is cracked, the network will vote to upgrade the encryption algorithm to be quantum proof because I’m assuming that’s what you’re referring to. And to the next person who wants to reply to my comment, run it through Google and AI first so you make sense or have some idea of what you’re talking about first. Stop posting what you see in your favorite YouTubers videos or what you see in the headlines. Literally an iota of research would have saved us lots of time here.

Right now the only companies I am interested in buying are NLCP and AES based on their valuation. REITS and utilities are beaten down sectors over the years, and they won't get hurt as hard by tariffs as a lot of other companies. I also prioritize stocks that pay dividends and they both have solid dividends covered by cash flow with amazing financials for the price they are at. The market is most likely going to hit a minor recession or at minimum a decent sized pull back considering the fact it's been going strong for a very long time now, and these tarrifs are objectively terrible for our economy. The Buffet indicator being at 208% is a massive danger zone and I wouldn't feel safe buying anything that isn't a REIT or Utility company in this current period of time. I'm not here to build your portfolio for you and I could care less if you take my advice or not. There's a reason you couldn't refute my logic and instead start attacking a strawman to try and hit me with some "gotcha". You can't refute my point with actual logic and that is clear as day otherwise you would have. I'm very strict with the companies I invest in and only choose the best value out of hundreds of stocks to actually put my money in. I also rotate the sectors I invest in based on which one is the best value at the moment, which as I stated earlier I see the best value as REITS and utilities currently.

The numbers run counter to President Donald Trump’s messaging that his economic policies, including tariffs, will reduce U.S. trade imbalances. The politically inconvenient data prompted administration officials to block publication of the written analysis [normally attached to the report because they disliked what it said about the deficit.](https://www.fas.usda.gov/data/search?reports%5B0%5D=report_type%3A10257) The published report, [released Monday but dated May 29](https://ers.usda.gov/sites/default/files/_laserfiche/outlooks/112707/AES-132.pdf?v=54213), includes numbers that are unchanged from how they would’ve read in the unredacted report, said the people, who were granted anonymity to discuss internal decision-making. Policymakers, farm groups and commodities traders rely on the closely watched report, which the Agriculture Department issues quarterly, for its analysis of imports and exports of major farm commodities including cotton and livestock. The highly unusual rollout could raise questions about potential political meddling with government reports that have traditionally been trusted for decades. “Objectivity is really key here and the public depends on it,” said Joe Glauber, a former USDA chief economist. “To lose that trust would be terrible.” A USDA spokesperson blamed the delay on an internal review. “The report was hung up in internal clearance process and was not finalized in time for its typical deadline,” said USDA spokesperson Alec Varsamis in a statement. “Given this report is not statutory as with many other reports USDA does, the Department is undergoing a review of all of its non-statutory reports, including this one, to determine next steps.” It’s not clear when or if the written analysis portion will be released. [The previous forecast, published in February](https://downloads.usda.library.cornell.edu/usda-esmis/files/6m311p28w/s75288160/707975259/AES-131.pdf), projected a deficit of $49 billion for the current fiscal year, an increase from the November 2024 report. The new analysis revises the projection to a record $49.5 billion, beating the previous record of $31.8 billion in fiscal 2024. Republicans used the quarterly report’s rising trade deficit projections during the Biden administration to accuse then-Secretary Tom Vilsack of not doing enough to promote U.S. farm exports. Agriculture secretaries historically have used the forecasts to promote policy initiatives. The May report reflects Trump’s on-again, off-again tariffs, the people said. The president has announced sharply higher tariffs on China and “reciprocal” levies of at least 10 percent on most U.S. trading partners. Tariffs are not the only contributing factor to any trade deficit or surplus, Glauber said. Americans’ love for blueberries year-round, loyalty to French wines and addiction to goods like coffees — which the U.S. largely does not produce — also contribute. A strong dollar can also widen the deficit. “What we’re importing is largely not what we’re exporting,” he said, noting that prices for common U.S. agricultural imports, such as wine and liquor, are not as volatile as the nation’s agricultural exports like soybeans. Two federal courts last week halted and then allowed the reciprocal tariffs to proceed, a back-and-forth that [only added to the uncertainty for farmers and businesses](https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/29/federal-judge-temporarily-reinstates-trumps-tariffs-on-dozens-of-countries-00375001). [Farmers are facing a more difficult economic outlook](https://www.politico.com/news/2025/04/04/farmers-tariffs-trump-trade-war-00271146) than they did during Trump’s first term: Some foreign markets have permanently shrunk and higher inflation has crimped farmers’ bottom lines. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has strongly defended Trump’s tariffs, arguing that imposing them is essential to removing barriers to U.S. exports, including non-tariff barriers. She is [leading a trade delegation to Italy this week,](https://www.usda.gov/about-usda/news/press-releases/2025/05/30/secretary-rollins-leads-trade-delegation-italy-continues-aggressive-travel-agenda-promote-american) and has several more trips planned later this year to promote American agricultural commodities. *Doug Palmer contributed to this story*
