It was always an expensive stock and when it starts to have an issue like that long-term guidance, there's a re-rating. I just don't think that they have gotten anyone nearly as good/right for the CEO role of Ferrari as Sergio Marchionne was. He was followed by a former Phillip Morris guy who randomly left, then after that we get a semiconductor CEO who was likely brought in to help guide Ferrari towards more EV/hybrids...only to have that guidance be particularly lowered (from 40% to 20%) last year. I owned a decent-sized position in RACE for a while and have traded it in recent months but I just don't quite see it as a potential long-term position in the manner that I used to.
Tempted to sell my RACE shares for a -$400 loss and just yeet all of that money into spy options

The issue with RACE is that you know exactly their production numbers when they release their vehicles. The only way their financials can surprise is with losses. There’s pretty much no way to beat expectations when they fix their prices and announce production numbers ahead of time. They either miss their projections, or meet them; they can’t beat them. Not a bad business model, but it’s a pretty terrible investment structure.
NFLX and RACE look good atm... Not really sure about CRM as it could endup as a Nasdaq zombie stock due to AI disruption

.Thoughts on Ferrari: production through 2027 fully sold, possibly through 2028. Awesome business model. Problem is that the entire automotive sector is getting trashed by investors. YTD Ferrari (Ticker RACE) stock is down some 20%. Good long term entry point. The issue with Ferrari is that they should be considering stock buy-backs or an attractive dividend policy to support the stock price. Cars alone and fame are not supportive of the stock price. They'll get there at some point.
