It's going to happen. Bezos is already signaling it as recent as 03 Oct. Which means now Musk and Jensen will have to 1 up him. >The concept of orbital data centres has gained traction among tech giants as those on Earth have driven up demand for electricity and water to cool their servers. >"These giant training clusters, those will be better built in space, because we have solar power there, 24/7. There are no clouds and no rain, no weather," Bezos said in a public conversation with Ferrari (RACE.MI), opens new tab and Stellantis (STLAM.MI), opens new tab Chairman John Elkann. >"We will be able to beat the cost of terrestrial data centres in space in the next couple of decades." Bezos said the shift to space infrastructure is part of a broader trend of using space to improve life on Earth. >"It's already happened with weather and communication satellites," he said. "The next step is data centres, then other kinds of manufacturing."

AMZN COST RACE Couple others too

Wegman’s if they were public. Atomic Coffee Roasters if they were public, too (New England area roaster). AMZN, AAPL, GOOG, Kimberly-Clark (shout out to my favorite TP), Colgate-Palmolive, BAC, Schwab, I’ll also lie and say Ferrari (RACE) but that’s just because I like the symbol.

There are good European companies like SAP and Spotify and RACE and others. They’re just not the fancy big names like NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, Google and Meta etc etc.

The companies I feel strongest about right now are ASML and FICO. FICO is the one I've been buying after entering a position last week. I sold RACE completely to buy in. RACE is close to fair value, but I feel like the fear in FICO stock makes it a wonderful opportunity in my eyes. RACE is a quality company, and will see long term sales growth with the Purosangue and continual Hybrid adoption. On my watchlist, companies like MSCI, CSU (Which I own), DUOL, NU, and GOOG (which I own) look interesting at current valuations.

I mean, not that anyone online wants to hear it, but valuations do matter. I think newer investors would really do themselves a favor to start thinking in terms of valuation, even if it takes some stocks much longer to trade on valuation than others. Multiples to net earnings and top line revenue are important because they tell you what you are actually buying and you need to decide, in the case of high PE and/or high PS for growth cos, whether you feel there is enough realistic growth potential to buy it for its current price. RACE is trading at a PE of 46 and a PS of 20. Think about what that means. If you were buying a business that sold super luxury cars and ran racing teams and netted you $100k, would you be comfortable buying it for $4.6M? You would have to assume a big growth in sales or margin. In this case sales, because margin is already pretty high. If it only $230k in sales would you be confident you keep that margin for the foreseeable future? At this price, that is what you are betting as an investor, more or less.

NTDOY (ticker for Nintendo 7974 ADR) is one I will be adding to if there are any sell offs after earnings. I'm also looking to see if there's any dips in MCO or SPGI now that the Trump Admin seems like it'll force the FED to drop interest rates. I actually entered into RACE during liberation day. Not a contrarian play so much as a play on the tariffs not holding, alongside an ever widening inequality gap which is minting more millionaires by the day. Ferrari is essentially a luxury goods company masquerading as a car company that is extremely well managed (aside from their Formula Meme team). Their top line regularly grows in the mid to high teens through their pricing tiers, they've been quick to catch onto Hybrid vehicles, are still tapping into the SUV market, and their vehicles are limited in release (they have large order books that outstrip their purposefully limited supply). Their FCF growth is aggressive despite being playing in a capital intensive industry, and have optionality around their licensing/branding deals. I don't think the company is cheap at these prices but I was buying when the price made sense and I felt comfortable in my understanding of the company.

$RACE "Ferrari (RACE, Financial) reported Q1 2025 net revenues of €1.791 billion, a 13% increase year-over-year. The operating profit (EBIT) rose 22.7% to €542 million, with a net profit up 17% to €412 million. Hybrid models made up 49% of shipments, with plans for six new models in 2025. Ferrari N.V. (RACE) delivered strong financial results for the first quarter of 2025, showcasing a robust performance across key metrics. The company reported net revenues of €1.791 billion, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Ferrari shipped 3,593 units, reflecting a slight growth of 1% year-over-year. Operating profit (EBIT) surged by 22.7% to €542 million, resulting in a margin of 30.3%. Net profits climbed to €412 million, showing a 17% rise from the previous year, with diluted earnings per share (EPS) reaching €2.30, an improvement from €1.95 in Q1 2024. The revenue growth was driven by a diverse and enriched product range, including the Ferrari Roma Spider, 296 GTS, SF90 XX family, and Purosangue. Notably, hybrid models comprised 49% of total shipments, emphasizing Ferrari's commitment to electrification. The company also unveiled two new special versions, the 296 Speciale and 296 Speciale A. Looking forward, Ferrari maintains a strong outlook for 2025, projecting revenues exceeding €7.0 billion, a 5% increase from 2024. They anticipate an adjusted EBIT of approximately €2.03 billion and industrial free cash flow around €1.20 billion, representing a growth of 7% and 17%, respectively. Further, to manage new US import tariffs, Ferrari announced potential price increases of up to 10% for certain models, which may affect profitability margins by 50 basis points. Despite these challenges, Ferrari's strategic focus on product mix and its capacity to uphold premium pricing underscores its resilient business model." I did some large repositioning during the liberation day period, selling out of V, MA, and MANH. RACE was one of the two positions I went into as the valuation felt reasonable enough relative to the company's quality management team, pricing power, and brand strength. I'm not surprised to see them managing the current uncertainty well. I'm really happy about the focus on product mix, as shipments only went up 0.9% despite double digit revenue and EPS growth. The key to being a luxury business is ensuring your brand is not diluted through endless supply or incessant low quality releases. The only disappointment I have is their current F1 season :/

Wild. They hear Elon and immediately get defensive but lack logic. This is why Elon is a genius to most, lack of critical thinking. 1st - Elon smarter than me no doubt there. 2nd - Regulatory requirements will be much lower through a third party, less politics. 3rd - The spending will be more OpEx rather than CapEx. In times of financial uncertainty... why not? 4th - DOGE was a joke. BUT. You don't know DoD if you truly believe there isn't waste. The pricate party has better incentive to perform opposed to an internal team at NASA. (Waste goes into these contracts too. So no doubt it can still exist. ) 5TH - SPACE RACE PEOPLE. We have another opportunity to have the competitive edge. We only pay so much for DoD employees because of benefits. Pay the leading edge startups in the US that want a piece of the pie. Those are your innovators. Bto. I'm just an stnk ape and even I understand all this. Thick skulls must be the trend.

I really have no idea why some people in thus sub think that if you just hit some small amount (like 120k in the OP) that you're set for life. I have around 2-2.5m in investments (and around 500k in retirement). I could FIRE on it pulling 80k-100k per year. That's nice and cute and more than enough to live a decent life if I never wanted a family, but I want a family. So I gotta work. And if I have to work anyway, then what the fuck difference does it make? I suppose with it accruing value year over year I could retire sooner, but how much sooner? I'm almost mid-30's now. I might be retiring closer to age 45-50. That's not bad. Now contrast that against a dude who has 120k in his bank account. He ain't FIRE'ing. Even in 20 years, he ain't meaningfully moving the needle on retirement. And the idea of retiring at 50-55 instead of 62-67 isn't _that_ alluring. It's still decades+ of more labor. Nobody is coming to this sub thinking "Oh boy I sure hope I win it big so I can retire at age 55 instead of age 62.5!!!!" TBH unless you pulled enough cash to retire _tomorrow_ (like 5+ million) then I really don't get the "PULL IT OUT AND GET BACK INTO THE RAT RACE!!!" reaction. Fuck that. OP, pay it forward and go hard. Gamble until you retire or suicide. Fuck another 2 decades of working dawg.

$RACE Ferrari reported fourth quarter EPS of $2.14, $0.32 better than the analyst estimate of $1.82. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.74B versus the consensus estimate of $1.66B. Guidance Ferrari NV sees FY 2025 EPS of $8.60 versus the analyst consensus of $9.00. Ferrari NV sees FY 2025 revenue of $7.00B versus the analyst consensus of $7.15B. Overall product mix has finally shifted this quarter to majority sales of Hybrids over ICE (51/49%), with them suffering less impacts from Chinese sales than the rest of the automotive or luxury goods markets. I think guidance was pretty tepid for the stock to be up so much on opening. It's a phenomenal company, but at it's at a price to sales of over 12 and forward earnings of over 40. It's hard to see a ton of upside unless Ferrari starts aiming real hard at €5 million+ vehicles for the ultra wealthy, something they must be planning as they are known for limiting their car volumes to maintain artificial scarcity.
