If looking for a quick buck, buy now and wait for it to moon and get ready to sell before it craters. Can you make more selling calls and paying a CPA TEN THOUSAND dollars to write a LETTER than just paying the short term cap gains? If so, it makes sense to do that. If not, it doesn't. Just realize that you're subtracting a BIT of your delta risk to bring in a bit of theta gains. Your primary pnl driver is still delta. Your risk is still very much there.

I knew somebody would say that ignorant shit, so let’s revisit history and perhaps you can understand my “level of thinking.” During Trump’s insurrection impeachment, DEMOCRATIC SENATOR Chris Coons said, in regards to NOT calling witnesses, that people (senators and staff)wanted to get home for the holiday. What was the holiday? Valentine’s Day. So, they tell us, “You’ve got to vote and DONATE for us, democracy is on the line!” I agree that what’s left of our corporate democracy was/is in danger, which is why I voted blue. Then, they can’t be bothered to call witnesses because of the 16th most important holiday here? They needed TEN Republican votes and had SEVEN. They couldn’t be bothered to hold their “Republican colleagues” feet to the fire in an attempt to pressure three more? Are you fuckin kidding me??! But yeah, sending them my money will save democracy. No, I am not arguing that both sides are the same. The right has been overtaken by extremism who want to benefit corporations and the wealthy to line the own pockets, deport and subjugate anyone who is not white and male, basically subjugate the working class, make an aging sociopath our dictator, and imprison anyone who speaks out. The “left,” or more accurately, the center-right parading as left, known as democrats, have different goals. They want to continue the status quo (legal bribery), benefitting the corporations and wealthy to line their own pockets, maintain a thin facade of representing the average Americans, spend recklessly, and campaign on just not being as bad as the other guys. When they have power, gee-golly, they just can’t seem to pull together to pass most of their “agenda.” Don’t bother citing the breadcrumbs they pass to pretend they are doing something. At best, they are foolish, feckless, pathetic losers. At worst, they are simply playing a game to get rich and a part of our “one party system masquerading as two-parties,” as described by Chomsky. I guess he’s not on your level either. If democrats hadn’t abandoned the majority of the people (and their own voter base) and could message/politic half as well as the republicans, trump would’ve never had a chance in ‘16, ‘20, or ‘24. Elections which I voted against him each time. The VERY few on either side who genuinely want to take corporate money out of politics are the only ones trying to fix things. If you aren’t wealthy enough to donate large sums to their PACs, you have no representation. Trump is saying everything is fine and prices are down and deals are imminent. The market is reacting like he's telling the truth. We're going to have a record scratch moment as soon as consumers are slapped in the face by the sight of empty shelves and news that we face supply disruptions that will last months and that it's already too late to get product over here in time for Christmas. Trump has also painted himself into a corner because every day we're closer to the end of the 90 day tariff pause but trade deals take months or years to negotiate and there's no way we'll get them done in this short window. The big banks are already putting the odds of a recession above 50% and economists say to expect a surge in inflation which means interest rates aren't coming down. Basically there's a huge disconnect between what the trump team is saying and what the fed, economists and logistics companies are saying but everyone is choosing to listen to the side that's telling them what they want to hear. Trump is saying "Don't Look Up" while the comet gets closer by the day. Will it be as bad as 2008? I don't know but back then I had confidence that the people at the top were working day and night to turn things around. This time the response seems poised to be “Maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls and maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more than they would normally.” Peter Navarro is on the record saying that if we just give his wacky ideas a try things will be better, IN TEN YEARS.

Every year someone claims the sky is falling and every year people help and build and heal. 50 million dead in WWII, two nuclear weapons detonated in acts of aggression - it was the end of everything, yet here we are. 1 trillion per year spent on pointless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
