Playstation 5s for example were incredibly hard to obtain for almost TWO years after their launch. Imagine if we had 2 or 3 times the middle class people who could afford one and want one. I’ll take a slightly different view on the blame game since Trump has done exactly what he talked about all campaign and people apparently ate it up (not me). To fellow Democrats who have now lost TWO elections to this criminal fraud, how about dropping the purity test BS and get out and vote no matter the nominee. This was totally avoidable. If Democrats don’t get out in the midterms I’m not even sure they’re a viable party moving forward. In the meantime it’s going to be a complete mess, as promised during the campaign.
There are a LOT of people out there who have been investing longer than either you or I have been alive, and there's a consensus that diversifying is key to mitigating risk. If you're in TWO funds or stocks, that's not diversification. If anything, that's MAGNIFYING risk. I prefer to be in multiple low-cost index funds to specifically get the entire market (large, mid, small cap + international). Some people think you can do it with a single "total market" fund (which doesn't typically offer much, if any International exposure), but either way, BOTH of those methods are more diversified than what you're doing. I truly hope you don't have to learn a really tough lesson from this.

To you, the high-speed rail system could be described as a costly boondoggle... But a $24M loss per day distributed across China's population is about TWO CENTS per person per day. Do you think the people of China view $0.02/day as a worthwhile trade for a nation spanning network of cheap high-speed transit?
