Actually a big part of my thesis is humans are degenerate gamblers and generally cannot decipher from value and momementum. They come, with desperation and leverage, and OVER-VALUE assets. TBH I have a degree in 3D graphics, worked in games and animated film. At first in 2018-2021 I didn't really understand the "ART" side of NFTs. But now I get it, my new gripe is a bunch of randos using AI to generate total bullshit collections yet calling it "ART" Which is fucked up b/c it may have taken me a decade to grasp it but I would even say the crazy motherfuckers out there using their private parts as a paintbrush etc are more artistic than the guys asking an AI do halfass their concept they lack to talent to create themselves. Agree with you. NFTs are not guaranteed profit, but I believe that there are many people who are ready to pay for real ART, especially if it has utility. For example, if we check NFT collections with utility like AngelBlock, BLVCK or Alan Walker they are growing in price even during the bear market. People continue to buy and hold their NFTs, because many of them want to have unique NFT that offers some bonuses or discounts.

Of course crypto has utility! People who do not believe in this should learn about more and how it works. For example, there are many fintech platforms where you can pay with crypto even in stores, With ETH you can pay diff fees. Even NFTs now not just a "beautiful cards", but the ART that can be useful. I think the assumption of most people is that they will see one giant bang all at once. The fact is that to change the "game" it takes time, sometimes years. So sure one day to the next is looks like nothing has happened. Stretch that birds eye view to several years and you can see how much of an impact and change has actually occured. Online digital fashion will be mandatory for all in the coming years. When walmart items are available in the metaverse you will know a major game has changed. You will look back and say, Damn. I remember when Nike bought RTKFT. It started it all. I am personally working on a small project which is much the same. I am building a craft whiskey and gin distillery. I am creating NFT's for select barrels. The only way to get a bottle of these special, particular barrels will be by holding the NFT when the barrel is ready. What this stupid JPEG crap has hidden, even obscured it from many already in the crypto space is the NFT is a TECHNOLOGY..... That technology has just had an extremely horrendous application to digital art! Because of that, when anyone mentions NFT's, most people automatically think DIGITAL ART... NFT is nothing more then a ownership record on the blockchain of (insert item here). NFT best use case is going to be for PHYSICAL property/assets. There are already project delivering NFT based ticketing systems (concerts, sporting events and so on). There is at least 1 project that has the capability to deliver a NFT based stock market (though regulatory frameworks are not in place by a long shot). There has already been a house sold via NFT ownership. Again, it's such early days that the regulatory framework is not yet in place so this was done through the convoluted method of the house first being owned by a company and then the company ownership was recorded via NFT. When the NFT was sold, the ownership of the company and its asset, the house, was transfered to the new owner. This was really done as a Proof-of-concept and will be used to get the attention of regulators\legislators so that the legal framework will play catch-up to the digital age (eventually) and houses/property will eventually use NFT's as a digital title deed (same as the old paper title deed system.... just infinitely more secure!). This NFT Digital Art is literally the WORST use case for the technology! It's made everyone who buys digital art NFT's a copyright owner..... With NO WAY to actually enforce their copyrights! Literally ANYONE can copy their art with a simple left click>save! This has been the very problem that movie/game studios have been throwing billions of $ at to try and enforce their copyright.... And FAILING! Now, neckbreads with $1 million digital art and $500 of liquid assets (cash) are somehow supposed to enforce their copyright when studios with billions of $ never could..... NFTs are a serial number linked to a public ETH address stored in a decentralized contract. nft[nft_id] = eth_address Opensea maintains a centralized database that links the serial number it created on contract to a jpg on their site. select image_id from nft_table where nft_id = xxx NFTs as you know them are not ART. They are serial numbers loosely related to jpgs from a website that may or may not still host them in the future.

Did you read the story of the artist that keeps getting his art “stolen”. And sold for NFTs that he doesn’t control . I m not sure why no one has attempted to tie the real work art ( on canvas). To a NFT used more as a proof of purchase so you own the art and have the prof that you are the new owner- also allowing for an immutable list of previous owners and sale prices . This makes the most sense for real ART

I am interested in p2e games and NFT projects lately, which are increasingly taking up crypto space. However, the web3 concept is also a big thing that is happening and preparing. Also, oracle projects that are following that trend, are significant and important for Defi's economy, like Link and Dia. They also integrate and include Defi and Nft. Dia will launch an Alpha pool for ART holders in January and they will receive Dia for locking ARTs. Then, Solana is one of my favorite projects especially considering that is lately becoming the most powerful platform for different kinds of users.

I think you should realize a grift when you see it. Those high value art NFT's you see going for 100k+ are likely total scams bought between wealthy people to give the illusion of value. The space is still relatively new but this wave of ART NFT's are going to die a death value wise in the short term IMO. NFT's themselves aren't going anywhere, though.

95% are. I still can't believe this is a thing right now. But then again Beanie Babies were once were $1000s. The other 5% is real. Take for example crypto card games like MTG. You need each card to be an NFT to function. ART NFTs are useless right now because the value is only in the "ownership" and there is no function to it. But if a mainstream Metaverse really does take off, and people use blockchains to fulfill the digital world, some of these NFTs could function. For example your VR home is built by NFTs residing on the blockchain. Sorta like how a public wallet displays "tokens" we could have more a graphical interface to see people's tokens. So you go in their home and they have this art. But anyone can duplicate an NFT and post the art again right? No because the metaverse won't function with the duplicate, just like these crypto card games dont function with a duplicate card, you need the REAL NFT card to play the game.
