Most proof of stake projects still live because of the early inflation to get the system started. Proof of work with renewable energy or proof of burn have the better tokenomics. I hold tokens from various chains for various reasons but i will say that i dont hold them for any reason other then speculation with the exception of 1. And even though i am all in for this one token and litterally trying to build a career in tech around it, theres still no use case But thats where the conviction begins. I believe we have to build use cases around blockchain because if we dont, were ALL bag holders. My bag is $KOIN. its zero fee smart contracts through a mechanism that i know works because ive used it. But what is unknown is how zero fees + smart contracts will turn out. Ill either have an amazing career or lose a lot of money. But atleast ill know that i didnt just hold tokens and hope someone else makes a usecase. Im all in baby. #yolo.

I have to admit I don’t have the best understanding of the tech but a friend pointed me toward Koinos (KOIN). It’s very early with an extremely low market cap. The project seems interesting, the team is legit and have been very good at communication about the project as it develops. I’ve posted this before, if anyone that understands the tech better want to reply with their thoughts, I’d love to hear.

I started in crypto because a friend said I should invest in Koinos (KOIN). correct, which is why its similar to PoS in that regard, but in PoS, you cant help it. Once you buy in, you're pretty much set, that isnt the case for PoB. In PoB, if you burn a HUGE amount, you just took a huge chunk of your tokens out of service. Those liquid tokens also have Mana which can be used to power smart contracts. So if you are burning your tokens for BP, you cant use them for smart contracts and on top of that, if a bunch of small token holders band together (which there will be many of) and burn an equal amount, they just basically pushed your return so far into the future that you are forced to rethink your position. Even though you are a huge token holder, you may not want to lockup your tokens for such a period of time because your Mana usage may be more important to you (especially if you are a developer). This is the efficiency of the system at play. Now bare in mind, if smaller token holders decide to burn more than inflation, than you just created a deflationary scenario. If KOIN price goes up because of user demand (because why wouldnt people want free dApps powered by Mana) then token price goes up. Its a very market based system using a very utilitarian approach. When PoB first comes out, Im sure it will be wild until people understand the mechanics of it all.

Koinos aims to provide a general purpose smart contract platform that is designed for dApp developers. One of the difficulties on similar platforms is prohibitive transaction fees. Rather than having fees, we utilize the concept of mana which should be intuitive for many. Instead of paying for transactions with an asset, you pay with mana which is tied to your KOIN and not tradable therefore having no value. In essence, you are allowed to transact because you hold liquid KOIN and pay in time because it is locked (not tradable) until it has fully regenerated. Another problem Koinos aims to solve is the pain of upgrading through hardforks. Most of the blockchain logic is actually executed within smart contracts. Governance can choose to accept new smart contracts that implement new behavior without a hardfork. And of the swing traders, how many are day traders with experience, and how many are noobs? FWIW I made a post a while back about crypto equities/ETFs. There is exposure to crypto besides BITO but a lot of these aren’t know and a lot are OTC so there is a risk there too. Grayscale: Grayscale has several trusts that mirrors the price of popular cryptos. GBTC mirrors Bitcoin, ETHE mirrors Ethereum, and LTCN mirrors Litecoin. The price of each share is 1/1000 - 1/10 the going rate of the respective crypto, so GBTC is around $38, ETHE is $36, and LTNC in $16. They have about a dozen different crypto products. Grayscale also has funds that have various cryptos in different percentages and a DeFi product. Mining companies: RIOT, HUT8, and BTBT are some examples. They mine crypto as a business. Adding MARA too. ETFs: There are ETFs that have exposure to crypto companies but aren’t tied to a price like Grayscale. BLOK, LEGR, BITQ, DAPP, KOIN, are BKCH some examples. Well, see, it became BKOIN and that was okay but the industry rallied around CKOIN. Then when C++KOIN came out that became the standard because you didn’t need to maintain your own buffer for memory allocation and a whole host of object oriented improvements. The sentiment is that this will launch at between 100-400 a share, that is cost prohibitive for casual investors. But with fractional shares, I definitely see this appealing to investors new to crypto since it’s a more conventional investment. I’m really just beginning my growth investment journey, and would only consider CB stock for between 5-10% of my “crypto” type stock investments. I already hold modest investments in KOIN, BLCN, BLOK, and have some shares of HIVE (currently the only single non ETF crypto stock I have), but some CB stock would round that out nicely I think.

I don’t see any harm in diversifying and holding ETF that are focused on companies that are built around blockchain tech / mining / hardware / financial etc. I am on the fence about trusts that hold bitcoin, and feel it’s more worthwhile to just invest in the crypto currency itself. That being said, if the options you’re looking at hold multiple assets, like BTC, and BTC mining, it’s a little broader. KOIN, BLOK, and BLCN all have their hands in crypto and blockchain endeavors, and I hold modest amounts of each, but also hold the crypto that they are built on top of.

I think it's absolutely insane how nobody has noticed KOIN in spite of his recent ath. Cheap AF (for now), Feeless, and better dev team than ADA. Get in while you still can. PS: Do your DD, don´t trust a random stranger on the internet.
